Discrimination of several Indonesian specialty coffees using Fluorescence Spectroscopy combined with SIMCA method
摘要: Indonesia is one of the important producers of several specialty coffees, which have a particularly high economic value, including Civet coffee (‘kopi luwak’ in Indonesian language) and Peaberry coffee (‘kopi lanang’ in Indonesian language). The production of Civet and Peaberry coffee is very limited. In order to provide authentication of Civet and Peaberry coffee and protect consumers from adulteration, a robust and easy method for evaluating ground Civet and Peaberry coffee and detection of its adulteration is needed. In this study, we investigate the use of fluorescence spectroscopy combined with SIMCA (soft independent modelling of class analogies) method to discriminate three Indonesian specialty coffee: ground Peaberry, Civet and Pagar Alam coffee. Total 90 samples were used (30 samples for Civet, Peaberry and Pagar Alam coffee, respectively). All coffee samples were ground using a home-coffee- grinder. Since particle size in coffee powder has a significant influence on the spectra obtained, we sieved all coffee samples through a nest of U. S. standard sieves (mesh number of 40) on a Meinzer II sieve shaker for 10 minutes to obtain a particle size of 420 μm. The experiments were performed at room temperature (around 27-29°C). All samples were extracted with distilled water and then filtered. For each samples, 3 mL of extracted sample then was pipetted into 10 mm cuvettes for spectral data acquisition. The EEM (excitation-emission matrix) spectral data of coffee samples were acquired using JASCO FP-8300 Fluorescence Spectrometer. The principal component analysis (PCA) result shows that it is possible to discriminate types of coffee based on information from EEM (excitation-emission matrix) spectral data. Using SIMCA method, the discrimination model of Indonesian specialty coffee was successfully developed and resulted in high performance of discrimination with 100% of sensitivity and specificity for Peaberry, Civet and Pagar Alam coffee. This research has opened the possibility to develop a promising method to detect and evaluate authentication of Indonesian specialty coffees using fluorescence spectroscopy.

Secure quantum network coding based on quantum homomorphic message authentication
摘要: As the principal security threat, pollution attacks also seriously affect the security of quantum network coding, just like they do for the classical network coding. Based on this, we ?rst propose two secure quantum homomorphic message authentication schemes based on quantum circuit, which well resist the pollution attacks launched by outside attackers and the attackers including inside untrusted nodes over the general quantum network. Then, we apply this authentication method into our extended quantum network coding scheme over the multi-unicast network N , solving the quantum k-pair problem securely and perfectly. Analysis results show that our proposed quantum network coding scheme has higher security and higher quantum communication rate, compared with the existing secure scheme.

摘要: Recently, various studies have been conducted on secret key generation and authentication using biosignals. PPG signals in biosignals are easy to measure, and signals generated from the inside of the body are difficult to leak. However, since the UWB radar can collect heart rate information, it is possible to measure the PPG signal remotely. Among the secret key sharing methods using PPG signals, the fuzzy vault method is vulnerable to correlation attack. Therefore, the predicted signal is generated using the Kalman filter of the leaked PPG signal, and unlock the vault using the generated predicted signal. In this paper, we generate a prediction signal from a PPG signal through a Kalman filter and use it to unlock the vault. Also discuss the considerations for using fuzzy vault safely.

Reversible Optical Writing and Data Storage in an Anthracene‐Loaded Metal‐Organic Framework
摘要: Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) enable the design of host-guest systems with specific properties. In this work, we show how confinement of anthracene in a well-chosen MOF host leads to reversible yellow-to-purple photoswitching of fluorescence emission. This behavior has not been observed before for anthracene, either in pure form or adsorbed in other porous hosts. The photoresponse of the host-guest system is caused by the photodimerization of anthracene, which is greatly facilitated by the pore geometry, connectivity and volume as well as the structural flexibility of the MOF host. The photoswitching behavior is used to fabricate photopatternable and erasable surfaces that, in combination with data encryption and decryption, hold promise in product authentication and secure communication applications.

摘要: Personal authentication by password only is major, however it has some security risks. As a new approach to personal authentication, several methods by Visual Secret Sharing Scheme have been proposed. We propose a personal authentication method by Visual Secret Sharing Scheme using smart glasses, that improve the methods in previous studies. The method is secure against shoulder surfing, eavesdropping, and leakage of information from the server. Moreover, in the method, an encrypted one-time password is decrypted automatically. Furthermore, by it is conducting implementations and evaluation experiments, found that the method has high convenience in operating time, operability, and ease of learning operation.

摘要: Recently, user authentication has become more important as electronic items become part of the Internet of all Things and users own more mobile devices. Biometric authentication systems have made a promising stride toward reaching the balance of a strong and stress-free authentication by using the distinctiveness of the user’s characteristics to determine valid users. Biometric authentication has gained popularity as the system for implicit, non-intrusive and progressive authentication because it has no memory load or carry-along requirements. Here, we review the state-of-the-art in facial biometrics research and we examine facial authentication techniques and the emerging usage of multi-modal biometrics such as various combinations of periocular, iris and face biometrics to ensure better user security. The miniaturization of advanced facial authentication hardware systems into mobile devices such as mobile phones and head-mounted displays (HMDs) used for VR/AR/MR has made biometric authentication seamless. Our survey examines facial authentication based on IR LED and multi-spectral cameras as they are the most commonly implemented hardware due to their multi-functional usage. We examine the possible application of these technologies within HMDs and the most recently released mobile phone devices on the market.

Novel Segmentation of Iris Images for Biometric Authentication Using Multi Feature Volumetric Measure
摘要: The aim of the research is to improve the efficiency of biometric authentication using different features of iris image. The biometric authentication and verification has become more popular where the authentication is more essential in many organizations. There are many approaches has been discussed to segment the iris image and to perform verification but suffers with the problem of accuracy in feature extraction and segmentation. To resolve such problems and to improve the efficiency of iris segmentation and recognition, we propose a novel segmentation algorithm which uses multi level filter which removes the eyelids and eyelash features and performs the edge detection to identify the inner and outer eye regions. Once the regions has been identified then, we compute various measures like the size of inner and outer eyes and extract the features of both and convert them in to feature vectors. The generated feature vectors are used to perform classification in biometric authentication approach. The multi feature volumetric measure is computed on the feature vector of each eye image where the feature vector has various features like the size of both inner and outer eyes, width and height, the original binary features, the number of binary ones and the number of pixels damaged by any form of disease and so on. Based on these features the MFVM is computed to classify the iris image towards a big data set of biometric features to perform authentication. The proposed method has improved the efficiency of iris segmentation and improved the efficiency of iris recognition based biometric authentication. Also the approach has reduced the time complexity and improved the efficiency also.

Analysis of finger vein variety in patients with various diseases using vein authentication technology
摘要: In finger vein authentication technology, near-infrared rays penetrate the finger and are absorbed by the hemoglobin in blood. The veins appear as dark areas. The finger vein pattern images of patients with various diseases were acquired, a new evaluation method applying image processing technique (“E value”) was developed, and it was examined whether the patterns have any characteristics differentiating them from those of healthy volunteers. As a result, low E values appeared in systemic sclerosis, mixed connective tissue disease, Sj?gren’s syndrome, and polymyositis/dermatomyositis. No statistical reduction in E value was shown in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, pernio (without rheumatic diseases), arteriosclerosis obliterans, diabetes, hypertension, hypothyroidism, and alopecia areata. This technology could be used for screening and evaluation of some diseases and their conditions with impaired peripheral venous circulation. E value may be useful as an indicator of venous circulation.
