Crystallization and spectroscopic characterizations of binary SrO-B2O3 glasses doped with LiF, NaF, CaF2, or TiO2
摘要: Glasses based on the basic chemical composition of binary strontium borate (SrO 50-B2O350 mol%) together with samples containing dopant (2%) with one of the fluorides (LiF, NaF, CaF2) or TiO2 have been synthesized through the routinely melting and annealing technique. Collective structural, optical, and thermal properties have been measured for the prepared glasses. X-ray diffraction and SEM measurements were carried out for their corresponding glass-ceramics which were synthesized by controlled thermal heat treatment with two-step regime. FT infrared absorption spectra reveal composite vibrational modes in the mid-range 400–1600 cm?1 which are related to the co-presence of both triangular and tetrahedral borate building units in their particular different wavenumber sites. The low dopant level did not make any distinct variations in the IR spectra. X-ray diffraction patterns elucidate the formed crystal phases after crystallization mainly strontium metaborate and other related borate phase and the LiF shows no distinct variation while NaF2 and CaF2 induce the formation of additional crystalline Na-containing or Ca-containing phases besides the formation of NaF or fluorite (CaF2). TiO2 acts as a nucleating agent and also separate as rutile. The crystallization behavior has been correlated with the assumption of the tendency of SrO to induce phase separation in the host binary borate glass and controlled heat treatment initiates the separation of strontium metaborate crystalline phase in the base binary SrO-B2O3 in accordance with its composition and the role of dopants is found to be varying with the type of dopant. The measured thermal expansion parameters of the prepared glasses reveal variations in their values for transformation and softening temperatures depending on the type of added dopant. The changes in the thermal expansion coefficients in the different parts of the thermal curves are related to the ability of the network to absorb lattice expansion through bending of the bonds. The uniform observed ultraviolet absorption bands are related to traces of iron (Fe3+) ions present as impurities.

Structure, crystallization, and dielectric properties of the Al <sub/>2</sub> O <sub/>3</sub> filled CaO–B <sub/>2</sub> O <sub/>3</sub> –SiO <sub/>2</sub> –Al <sub/>2</sub> O <sub/>3</sub> glass composites for LTCC applications
摘要: The glass structures and crystallization behaviors of CaO–B2O3–SiO2 (C1) and CaO–B2O3–SiO2–Al2O3 (C1A03) glasses are investigated. The addition of Al3+ into CaO–B2O3–SiO2 glass acts as a glass former and bonds with the silicon tetrahedron with non-bridged oxygen to form Si–O–Al–O–Si, which increases the Q4 structural unit. The relative dielectric constants for C1 and C1A03 glass systems were all about 7.8–8.4. Compared to the C1 glass, the size and amount of pores decreased for the C1A03, leading to a higher dielectric constant. The C1A03 glass system exhibits better Qxf value than the C1 system due to the decrease in the size and amount of pores. The Qxf value roughly decreased with increasing glass addition for the densified samples. The C1A03 glasses with 50 wt% alumina exhibited the highest dielectric constant (8.4) and Qxf value (3150 GHz) due the maximum densification and highest amount of anorthite were obtained.

Crystal structure, microwave dielectric properties and low temperature sintering of (Al0.5Nb0.5)4+ co-substitution for Ti4+ of LiNb0.6Ti0.5O3 ceramics
摘要: The phase composition, microstructure, microwave dielectric properties of (Al0.5Nb0.5)4+ co-substitution for Ti site in LiNb0.6Ti0.5O3 ceramics and the low temperature sintering behaviors of Li2O-B2O3-SiO2 (LBS) glass were systematically discussed. XRD patterns and EDS analysis result confirmed that single phase of Li1.075Nb0.625Ti0.45O3 solid solution was formed in all component. The increase of dielectric constant (εr) is ascribed to the improvement of bulk density. The restricted growth of grain has a negative influence on quality factor (Q×f) value. The τf value could be continuously shifted to near zero as the doping content increases. Great microwave dielectric properties were obtained in LiNb0.6Ti(0.5-x)(Al0.5Nb0.5)xO3 ceramics (x = 0.10) when sintered at 1100℃ for 2 h: εr = 70.34, Q×f = 5144 GHz, τf = 4.8ppm/℃. The sintering aid, LBS glass, can effectively reduce the temperature and remain satisfied microwave performance. Excellent microwave dielectric properties for x = 0.10 were obtained with 1.0 wt. % glass: εr = 70.16, Q×f = 4153 GHz (at 4 GHz), τf = -0.65ppm/℃ when sintered at 925℃ for 2 h.

Effect of B2O3 Content on Eu3+?Surrounding in The System SrO?x.B2O3 Containing Eu3+ Ions Prepared by Combustion Method
摘要: The change of Eu3+? surrounding in the system SrO?x.B2O3 with various x values (x = 0.33, 0.5, 1) synthesized by combustion method was investigated via photoluminescence (PL) spectra and phonon sideband (PSB) spectra. From the analysis of PSB spectra, it is reasonable to suggest that when increasing B2O3 content the electron?phonon coupling strength increases due to the increase in the number of B?O? non?bridging bond. By using Judd?Ofelt (JO) theory for PL spectra of Eu3+ ion, the ?2 intensity parameter was calculated and it also shows the asymmetry of Eu3+? surrounding increase corresponding to the B2O3 content.

Synthesis of TiO2/SiO2-B2O3 Ternary Nanocomposites: Influence of Interfacial Properties on their Photocatalytic Activities with High Resolution Mass Spectrometry Monitoring
摘要: An investigation on unusual interface properties of unprecedented ternary composites, formed by the inclusion of assorted proportions of B2O3 into TiO2/SiO2 structure, is conducted herein. The influences of B2O3 content and calcination temperature were evaluated. The precursor TiO2/SiO2 material was synthesized via a simple sol-gel procedure that was followed by B2O3 inclusion via maceration and calcination. The materials were fully characterized and their photocatalytic performance to degrade the Indigo Carmine dye investigated. The material prepared with a B/Ti molar ratio of 1 and at calcination temperature of 350 °C (B1-350) showed the best performance, with a superior photocatalytic activity than that of commercial TiO2. The presence of B2O3-TiO2-SiO2 interfaces in the structure of such material was of critical importance in producing a material with these attractive features. Finally, high resolution mass spectrometry monitoring allowed for the characterization of the main degradation products formed under these conditions.

摘要: Performance of TiO2-B2O3 gas sensor that annealed using nitrogen at 650°C for 30 minutes was observed and analyzed. The sensing film of the gas sensor was prepared by mixing TiO2-B2O3 with an organic binder. The sensing film was characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The gas sensor was exposed to hydrogen at a concentration of 100 - 1000 ppm with operating temperatures of 100°C and 200°C. However, no response was detected for 100 ppm at 100°C. But, as the operating temperature was increased to 200°C, the gas sensor indicated a good response for 100 ppm of hydrogen. The gas sensor exhibited p-type response based on decreased current when exposed to hydrogen. The sensitivity of gas sensor was calculated at 1.00, 2.18 and 3.58 for 100 ppm, 500 ppm and 1000 ppm respectively, at an operating temperature of 200°C.
