  • Substrate integrated waveguide dual‐frequency dual‐sense circularly polarized cavity‐backed slot antenna

    摘要: A novel design of dual-frequency dual-sense circularly polarized (CP) substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity-backed slot antenna is presented for dual-band wireless communication systems. The proposed antenna consists of square SIW cavity, asymmetrical bow-tie-shaped cross slot and probe feed. Due to use of asymmetrical bow-tie-shaped cross slot, circularly polarized wave radiates at two different frequencies with opposite sense of polarizations. The RHCP radiation occurs at (10.45-10.54) GHz (Lower band) and LHCP occurs at (11.26-11.34) GHz (Upper band). Moreover, in each band, sense of polarization can be change by changing the feed position. The front to back radiation ratio (FTBRR) is more than 10.5 dB and cross polarization level is lower than ?20 dB in both the bands.

    摘要: Potential research works are done to design different structures of antennas in various dimensions and shapes at Terahertz frequency, but the nano-antenna in optical frequency is a challenge. This paper presents the design and analysis of plasmonic bow-tie optical nano-antenna for tumor treatment. The designed structure is constructed from Gold and SiO2 materials in a bow-tie shape. The simulation work is performed using Computer Simulation Technology (CST) studio suite software package version 2019. The resonance wavelength of the designed structure is 532 nm, which represents the resonance of the gold. The waveguide exciting source is used to get maximum absorption resonance reflectivity) wavelength. The near and far field in the nano-antenna are taken into account. The maximum intensity from the plasmonic nano-antenna is obtained to be 8.77 *1010 W/m2 at the resonance wavelength at a distance from the reference plane of 1 μm. The results showed that the absorbed power by the proposed tissue represented by the specific absorption rate (point SAR) is 6.94*1012 W/kg when the position of the proposed tumor in touch with upper edge and in front of the nano-antenna. The temperature distribution is calculated to be 64 Co in the proposed tumor. It is concluded that the obtained specific absorption rate and the calculated temperature in the designed nano-antenna at 532 nm are encouraged to use as a point source for the treatment of tumor tissue.

    摘要: In this paper, a planar bow-tie slot antenna with coplanar waveguide fed for tri-band i.e. WIMAX, C and X band wireless communication applications is proposed. This antenna has been designed to meet the prerequisite of multiple resonant frequencies by setting up the proper dimensions of the bow-tie arm slots and feed line cutout slots. The dimensions corresponds to the tri-band resonant frequencies, are obtained by engraving slots of distinct length and width above the ground plane. The antenna is fed by 50? coplanar waveguide feed line. Physical size of the proposed antenna is 30×60 mm2 designed on thick substrate. The copper cladding ArlonCuClad217(tm) woven fiberglass laminate material with dielectric loss tangent 0.0009 and relative permittivity 2.17 is used. The gain, impedance bandwidths, return loss, and VSWR of proposed antenna has been analyzed and discussed. Moreover, the extensive parametric study has been carried out with dimensions of feed line cutout. The simulation results have shown that the designed prototype of an antenna exhibits the peak realized gain of 6.9dBi and average gain of 2.3dBi.The proposed antenna has three operating bands, which are suitable for WIMAX, C-band and X-band applications.
