    摘要: The parameters estimation problem for the equivalent admittance circuit model of piezoelectric transducers with high non-linearity near the resonance frequency is studied. A novel Genetic-Particle Swarm Optimization (GA-PSO) algorithm with cascade structure is proposed. The variance of fitness value of population as a criterion is given to evaluate the population convergence, and the population convergence is used as an adaptive switching strategy of Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO) to Genetic Algorithm(GA). The proposed GA-PSO method can also be used for estimating parameters of others. Simulation results are provided to demonstrate the feasibility. Comparison of the proposed GA-PSO method with the existing method is given, which shows that the GA-PSO algorithm is more efficient.

    摘要: This paper presents van der Corpt-type lemmas for Bessel and Airy transforms with shifted Jacobi weight functions. These results on the asymptotic orders of the highly oscillatory integrals on the frequency are optimal. Furthermore, from these estimates, the convergence rates on Filon-type methods are easily derived.

  • Protocol for Producing Three-Dimensional Infrared Video of Freezing in Plants

    摘要: Freezing in plants can be monitored using infrared (IR) thermography, because when water freezes, it gives off heat. However, problems with color contrast make 2-dimensions (2D) infrared images somewhat difficult to interpret. Viewing an IR image or the video of plants freezing in 3 dimensions (3D) would allow a more accurate identification of sites for ice nucleation as well as the progression of freezing. In this paper, we demonstrate a relatively simple means to produce a 3D infrared video of a strawberry plant freezing. Strawberry is an economically important crop that is subjected to unexpected spring freeze events in many areas of the world. An accurate understanding of the freezing in strawberry will provide both breeders and growers with more economical ways to prevent any damage to plants during freezing conditions. The technique involves a positioning of two IR cameras at slightly different angles to film the strawberry freezing. The two video streams will be precisely synchronized using a screen capture software that records both cameras simultaneously. The recordings will then be imported into the imaging software and processed using an anaglyph technique. Using red-blue glasses, the 3D video will make it easier to determine the precise site of ice nucleation on leaf surfaces.

  • Dynamic Patterns of Technological Convergence in Printed Electronics Technologies: Patent Citation Network

    摘要: The importance of the convergent approach to technology development has increased recently. Therefore, understanding the characteristics of technology convergence, which refers to the combination of two or more technological elements in order to create a new system with new functions, is an important issue not only for researchers in technology development, but also for company directors for their successful management of product competitiveness. Therefore, in order to investigate the patterns and the mechanism of technological convergence, we examine the printed electronics technology which has typical characteristics of technology convergence. Based on the printed electronics-related patents registered between 1976 and 2012, we perform network analysis of the technology components in order to identify key technologies which played a central role among the groups of convergence technologies and to examine their dynamic role corresponding to the development of technology convergence. The results show that control technologies which control the role of other technologies over the technology convergence process play significant role. The centrality value is highest in the case of control technology, and devices related technologies have the largest number of patents quantitatively, thereby confirming the results. In addition, the trajectory analysis of the centrality value reveals a co-evolution pattern in technology convergence.

  • Ti <sub/>3</sub> C <sub/>2</sub> T <sub/><i>x</i> </sub> -Based Three-Dimensional Hydrogel by a Graphene Oxide-Assisted Self-Convergence Process for Enhanced Photoredox Catalysis

    摘要: Assembly of two-dimensional (2D) layered structures into three-dimensional (3D) macroscopic hydrogel has been an enduring attracting research theme. However, the anisotropic intersheet cross-linking to form Ti3C2Tx MXene-based hydrogel remains intrinsically challenging because of the superior hydrophilic nature of 2D Ti3C2Tx. Herein, Ti3C2Tx MXene is ingeniously assembled into the 3D macroscopic hydrogel under mild conditions by a graphene oxide (GO) assisted self-convergence process. During the process, GO is reduced to reduced graphene oxide (RGO) by virtue of the reduction ability of Ti3C2Tx, leading to the partial removal of hydrophilic oxygen-containing groups and an increase of the hydrophobicity and the π-conjugated structures of RGO, which enables the assembly of RGO into 3D RGO framework. Simultaneously, Ti3C2Tx is self-converged to be incorporated into the RGO framework by intimate interfacial interactions, thereby generating Ti3C2Tx-based hydrogel. The hydrogel with interconnected porous structure holds great potential as a promising material platform for photoredox catalysis. With the incorporation of Eosin Y photosensitizer, the functional Ti3C2Tx-based hydrogel exhibits enhanced photoactivity compared to the powder counterpart and features easy operability. This work enriches the rational utilization of GO/MXene colloid chemistry to design Ti3C2Tx MXene-based hydrogels with improved overall efficacy in practical applications.

  • Convergence Spasm: The Importance of Infrared Videotaping

    摘要: A 49-year-old man presented to the Emergency Department with acute onset of painless diplopia that had manifested the day before. Upon a brief examination, bilateral weakness of abduction of the eyes was noted, and bilateral sixth nerve palsy was suspected. He was immediately investigated for central nervous system pathology. However, brain contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, and cerebrospinal fluid examination findings were all normal. On a careful examination using infrared videotaping, his pupils apparently constricted on abduction (Picture). Therefore, a diagnosis of convergence spasm (CS) was made. Reassuring the patient was sufficient to completely resolve the symptoms within a month. CS is characterized by an inappropriate appearance of the near triad, comprising convergence, miosis, and accommodation. The cause is mostly psychiatric; therefore, diagnosing CS properly is important (1). The observation of miosis during attempted abduction is the most reliable sign at bedside; however, in many cases, it is very difficult to make a diagnosis without infrared videotaping (2).

  • Variance-Minimization Iterative Matching Method for Free-Form Surfaces--Part II: Experiment and Analysis

    摘要: In the ?rst part of this paper, a free-form surface matching method called variance-minimization matching (VMM) was proposed to address uneven/open point distributions and measuring noise. The convergence property and sensitivity to measuring defects were theoretically studied. In the second part of this paper, a series of experiments are presented to verify the feasibility of the proposed method in free-form surface matching. The experiments are divided into four sets: a measuring defects experiment, a noise experiment, a convergence experiment, and an arti?cial experiment. In the ?rst set of experiments, the existing methods are prone to becoming trapped in a local optimum affected by uneven/open point distributions, which shows that measured points incline toward dense areas. However, in VMM, there is little inclination regardless of the increase in the number of measuring defects. In the second set of experiments, sensitivity to varying noise is tested. The results show that VMM helps prevent unstable sliding in the presence of Gaussian noise. In the third set of experiments, we compare convergence speed and convergence stability under different initial positions. It is veri?ed that VMM exhibits the quadratic convergence. Finally, a set of arti?cial experiments is implemented, revealing that the proposed method is appropriate for use in automated manufacturing processes such as geometric inspection and allowance distribution.

  • Convergence of SART + OS + TV iterative reconstruction algorithm for optical CT imaging of gel dosimeters

    摘要: Computational simulations are used to investigate the convergence of a hybrid iterative algorithm for optical CT reconstruction, i.e. the simultaneous algebraic reconstruction technique (SART) integrated with ordered subsets (OS) iteration and total variation (TV) minimization regularization, or SART+OS+TV for short. The influence of parameter selection to reach convergence, spatial dose gradient integrity, MTF and convergent speed are discussed. It’s shown that the results of SART+OS+TV algorithm converge to the true values without significant bias, and MTF and convergent speed are affected by different parameter sets used for iterative calculation. In conclusion, the performance of the SART+OS+TV depends on parameter selection, which also implies that careful parameter tuning work is required and necessary for proper spatial performance and fast convergence.

  • Polarization-Tracking-Free PDM Supporting Hybrid Digital-Analog Transport for Fixed-Mobile Systems

    摘要: For ?xed services such as hybrid ?ber-coaxial (HFC) and passive optical network (PON) with deployed ?ber networks, it is desirable to exploit the potentials to support wireless services in ?fth-generation (5G) mobile data communications on top of the existing ?xed networks. We propose a polarization-division multiplexing (PDM) scheme to achieve co-delivery of independent signals for ?xed-mobile convergence. This is achieved by removing unwanted optical carrier in each polarization, thus the proposed system can resolve the polarization-tracking issue in conventional PDM. It has been demonstrated in this letter that the polarization-tracking-free PDM system can support co-transmission of respective 70-Gbps digital and analog signals over 20-km single mode ?ber. Experimental results have shown low crosstalk between two polarizations. The proposed PDM system is compatible with wavelength-division-multiplexing (WDM) network and is capable of enhancing the spectral ef?ciency of WDM channels. The inherent single-sideband feature of the proposed PDM also enhances long-range services.

  • A Modeling Method of Electromagnetic Micromirror in Random Noisy Environment

    摘要: In this paper, a data-driven modeling method for electromagnetically actuated micromirror in random noisy environment is proposed. In this method, the electromagnetic micromirror is considered as a dynamic system with preceded hysteresis. Then, a linear dynamic submodel is used to describe the angular deflection mechanism, while a preceded rate-dependent hysteresis submodel is used to depict the hysteresis phenomenon inherent in the electromagnetic driver. By considering the influence of random noise on the micromirror, an on-line modeling scheme with varying weighting factors is studied to handle the data contaminated by random noises. Subsequently, the convergence of proposed modeling method is analyzed. Finally, the experimental results of the proposed modeling scheme for an electromagnetically actuated micromirror are presented.
