  • Strategic integration of vehicle-to-home system with home distributed photovoltaic power generation in Shanghai

    摘要: The energy utilization optimization strategies in a smart house without and with vehicle to home (V2H) and/or home distributed photovoltaic (HDPV) in Shanghai are investigated in detail for the efficient household energy utilization and the reduction of net electricity expenditure. Such influences as EV travel distances, weather conditions and different PV subsidies are also taken into account. The results show that transferring valley electricity and PV by V2H can not only improve the utilization rate of valley electricity and PV, but also obtain considerable economic benefits. Transferring PV by V2H can get more revenues than transferring valley electricity by V2H. The energy arbitrage of V2H decreases with the increase of the EV travel distance. The HDPV-V2H mode in the case studied can completely cover the electricity demand of the household load in sunny and cloudy days without additional grid electricity while the combination of PV with transferred valley electricity by V2H is enough to support the household load demand in rainy days. The positive return of HDPV still can’t do without the support from government’s subsidy in Shanghai in the coming time. However, the HDPV-V2H mode can improve the benefit of HDPV. Meanwhile, there are a lot of EVs in Shanghai, charging with green power in priority. The HDPV-V2H mode can promote the synergetic development of HDPV and EVs in Shanghai.

  • Assessing the effectiveness of Chinaa??s net-metering subsidies for household distributed photovoltaic systems

    摘要: Consumer incentives play a vital role in promoting the adoption of renewable energy technology. In China, the government implemented a single, nation-wide net-metering subsidy to cultivate the distributed photovoltaic electricity generation market in 2013 and then had to reduce it twice due to the falling cost of photovoltaic modules and the large resultant financial gap. The aim of this study was to evaluate whether these subsidy adjustments were accurate, and also to identify the factors affecting the subsidy design. We applied a techno-economic evaluation to examine the actual market performance of China’s household distributed photovoltaic system in five typical cities with different levels of solar radiation and electricity consumption patterns, and then investigated the subsidy policy’s effectiveness through a cost-benefit analysis. The results show that a 3e7 kW photovoltaic capacity in different regions of solar radiation can meet the residential electricity demand. We found that the examination of net-metering effectiveness should consider both regional difference in solar radiation and the different levels of electricity demand. Additionally, the cost-benefit analysis also indicated that a reasonable, regionally differentiated metering subsidy should be in the range of 0.05e0.27 yuan/kWh.

    摘要: Distributed photovoltaic grid connection has impaired the power quality of the distribution network. Aiming at this salient problem, a regulation method for the voltage at the point of interconnection in the distribution network is proposed. Besides, the basic principles of voltage regulation device are introduced, and the computing method for the capacity energy storage battery configuration, matched with the power generation capacity, is given. The simulation model based on the full-control device is built in the PSCAD environment, which verified the accuracy of the control strategy and the favorable dynamic adjusting performance. Finally, by the prototype developed, the effectiveness of the new regulation method for the voltage at the point of interconnection in the distribution network is proved.

  • A review on voltage control for distribution systems with large-scale distributed photovoltaic power integration

    摘要: In order to solve the problems of voltage wide-range fluctuations and over-limitation after large-scale distributed photovoltaic (DPV) integrated into distribution networks, this paper conducts a comprehensive and detailed analysis of voltage control strategy by summarizing existing voltage control technology and experience at home and abroad. The technical points and a comprehensive comparison from the perspectives of active power curtailment (APC), reactive power control (RPC) and active-reactive power coordination control (A/RC) are made. Through comparative analysis, it is found that adopting active-reactive power coordination control is a key measure to effectively improve voltage quality and increase the PV hosting capacity of distribution networks. The optimization of the control strategy can effectively improve the friendliness of large-scale PV system integration. The method and control strategy can provide a theoretical basis and practical reference for voltage management of distribution networks with high penetration PV integration.

  • Dynamic feed-in tariff pricing model of distributed photovoltaic generation in China

    摘要: Because China's long-term constant photovoltaic (PV) feed-in tariff policy has not been able to adapt to the decline in the cost of PV equipment, and too broad regional pricing will hinder the development of distributed photovoltaic generation (DPVG) to some extent. Therefore, this paper will re-evaluate China's solar resource endowments into five regions, and based on the accounting cost method, combine the learning curve of PV equipment to accurately measure the dynamic unit generation cost of distributed PV. In addition, considering the reasonable returns to investors and tax factors, this study has obtained a dynamic feed-in tariff model for DPVG. A case study based on the model shows that the results of feed-in tariff is reasonable and effective, and the government should adjust the feed-in tariff more frequently according to the feed-in tariff pricing model in this study.

  • Forecasting of electricity price subsidy based on installed cost of distributed photovoltaic in China

    摘要: In China, the installed cost of distributed photovoltaic (DPV) is declining rapidly. However, the level of subsidy per kWh for DPV is adjusted less frequently by the Chinese government. This paper proposed a linkage model to forecast subsidy per kWh of DPV based on net present value (NPV) method. The results show that the increase of subsidy duration, internal consumption proportion and sunshine hours will reduce subsidy level. Therefore, it is suggested that the Chinese government should take varied and targeted measures, such as reducing different subsidies for new DPV users who install DPV in different years, choosing a longer subsidy duration and setting different subsidy levels in different regions. These varied and targeted measures are beneficial to both government and users, because they can reduce the annual financial burden for the government and the surcharges of electricity purchase for users.

  • Design scheme for fast charging station for electric vehicles with distributed photovoltaic power generation

    摘要: The demand for fast charging is increasing owing to the rapid expansion of the market for electric vehicles. In addition, the power generation technology for distributed photovoltaic has matured. This paper presents a design scheme for a fast charging station for electric vehicles equipped with distributed photovoltaic power generation system taking the area with certain conditions in Beijing as an example construction site. The technical indexes and equipment lectotype covering the general framework and subsystems of the charging station are determined by analyzing the charging service demand of fast charging stations. In this study, the layout of the station is developed and the operation benefits of the station is analyzed. The design scheme realizes the design objective of “rationalization, modularization and intelligentization” of the fast charging station and can be used as reference for the construction of a fast charging network in urban area.

    摘要: To avoid the calculation of limit access capacity of photovoltaic (PV) source is incorrect due to the consideration of the occurrence of a small probability event, this paper proposes a method to calculate the limit access capacity of photovoltaic (PV) source based on the chance constraints of voltage deviation on the basis of considering the randomness of PV power and load. Maximizing limit access capacity of PV is regarded as the goal, the voltage deviation is regarded as the chance constrained condition, the calculation model of limit access capacity of PV is established. Then, using the LHS and Newton-Raphson to calculate the probabilistic load flow (PLF), the statistical properties of node voltage are obtained. Calculation results of PLF and quantum genetic algorithm are used to solve the model. By comparing the results of optimization with heuristic method, the correctness and validity of the proposed method are verified.
