  • Electromechanical Properties of Ferroelectric (NaKLi)(NbTa)O <sub/>3</sub> –CaZrO <sub/>3</sub> Ceramics

    摘要: Electromechanical Properties of Ferroelectric (NaKLi)(NbTa)O3–CaZrO3 Ceramics. The effect of CaZrO3 to electric and mechanical properties of (Na0.47K0.51Li0.02)(Nb0.8Ta0.2)O3 was investigated. With increment of CaZrO3, the crystal structure of (Na0.47K0.51Li0.02)(Nb0.8Ta0.2)O3 changed from the mixture of ferroelectric orthorhombic and rhombohedral phases to paraelectric pseudo-cubic phase. On the way of transition from ferroelectric to paraelectric phases, the composition range showing the mixture of ferroelectric/paraelectric phases with a structure of core/shell was revealed with an advent of relatively large strain behavior. The shell phase formed via solid-state diffusion of Nb, Ta, Na, K ions between (Na0.47K0.51Li0.02)(Nb0.8Ta0.2)O3 and CaZrO3 particles, followed by its subsequent solution process with mixing a Ta-rich perovskite with Ca and Zr ions. In contrast, the core phase formed via a solution-precipitation process, resulting in a Ta-depleted ferroelectric perovskite. Energy-dispersive X-ray analysis showed that core was a Nb-rich ferroelectric phase and the shell was a Ta-rich paraelectric phase with Ca and Zr ions at room temperature. This structure implies an interaction between straining behaviors in the core and shell phases under an electric field, leading large deformation in macro-scale.

  • Exploiting Bulk Photovoltaic Effect in a 2D Trilayered Hybrid Ferroelectric for Highly Sensitive Polarized Light Detection

    摘要: Polarized light detection is attracting increasing attention for its wide applications ranging from optical switches to high-resolution photodetectors. Two-dimensional (2D) hybrid perovskite-type ferroelectrics combining inherent light polarization dependence of bulk photovoltaic effect (BPVE) with their excellent semiconducting performances present significant potential in this portfolio. Here, we first report the BPVE-driven highly sensitive polarized light detection in a 2D trilayered hybrid perovskite ferroelectric, (allyammonium)2(ethylammonium)2Pb3Br10 (1), which shows superior BPVE with a near-bandgap photovoltage of ~ 2.5 V and a high on/off switching ratio of current (~ 104). Notably, driven by the superior BPVE, 1 exhibits highly sensitive polarized light detection with a polarization ratio as high as ~15, which is far more beyond than those of structural anisotropy-based monocomponent devices. As far as we know, this is the first realization of BPVE-driven polarized light detection in hybrid perovskite ferroelectrics. This work opens a new avenue for the design of highly sensitive polarized light detection by exploiting the sinusoidal behavior of BPVE current in 2D multilayered hybrid perovskite ferroelectrics.

  • Constitutive modeling of polarization relaxation behavior in ferroelectrics

    摘要: A thermodynamically consistent model is formulated to depict the polarization hysteresis and the rate-dependent behavior of relaxation in ferroelectric materials. On the relaxation condition, the polarization gradually changes with time while the applied electric field is kept constant. The present model introduces internal state variables to represent such irreversible dissipation processes. Based on the first and second laws of thermodynamics, the evolution laws of the internal state variables consisting of constitutive equations are then derived through the definitions of the Helmholtz free energy and a dissipation potential. To verify the applicability of the constitutive model, numerical simulations are compared with experiment in the literature.
