    摘要: This paper studies the electric vehicle (EV) charging scheduling problem to match the stochastic wind power. Besides considering the optimality of the expected charging cost, the proposed model innovatively incorporates the matching degree between wind power and EV charging load into the objective function. Fully taking into account the uncertainty and dynamics in wind energy supply and EV charging demand, this stochastic and multistage matching is formulated as a Markov decision process. In order to enhance the computational efficiency, the effort is made in two aspects. Firstly, the problem size is reduced by aggregating EVs according to their remaining parking time. The charging scheduling is carried out on the level of aggregators and the optimality of the original problem is proved to be preserved. Secondly, the simulation-based policy improvement method is developed to obtain an improved charging policy from the base policy. The validation of the proposed model, scalability, and computational efficiency of the proposed methods are systematically investigated via numerical experiments.

    摘要: Powering cellular base stations with renewable energy are one of the long-term strategies for achieving green networks and reducing their operational costs. As an energy provider, the power grid is evolving into a smarter one, which allows more energy-ef?cient cellular networks and enables cooperation and interaction with the smart grid. On one hand, cellular networks can use harvested renewable energy and on-site energy storage to reduce their energy costs. On the other hand, the price of electricity depends on the energy load, which will eventually contribute to decreasing the peak consumption and global energy cost. In this paper, we propose new integration architecture for renewable energy-powered cellular networks and the smart grid. The proposed architecture is designed based on the classi?cation and the analysis of the existing proposals and the requirements of the smart grid, renewable energy systems, and cellular networks.

But using photovoltaic systems connected to grid may have drawback effect on the grid parameters. with using more and more photovoltaic panel energy its necessary to investigate them into the power systems, because small residential loads using photovoltaic at maximum power as the main source of the power and the utility use as a backup source interfaced with inverter and this change the characteristics of power flow shape and effect the parameter of the grid, this paper will focus on increase reactive power problem and discuss the ability of solution by control of reactive power and active power of photovoltaic inverter output to improve the efficiency of the grid.

  • Surface Dust and Aerosol Effects on the Performance of Grid-Connected Photovoltaic Systems

    摘要: A large number of grid-connected Photovoltaic parks of di?erent scales have been operating worldwide for more than two decades. Systems’ performance varies with time, and an important factor that in?uences PV performance is dust and ambient aerosols. Dust accumulation has signi?cant e?ects depending the region, and—on the other hand—understanding the role of absorption or scattering in particular wavelengths from aerosols is a challenging task. This paper focuses on performance analysis of a grid-connected PV system in Central Greece, aiming to study these e?ects. The methodology of analysis follows three directions, namely, PR computations, use of mathematical model’s prediction as reference value, and normalized e?ciency calculation. These metrics are correlated with the levels of dust accumulation on PV panels’ surfaces and the ambient aerosol mass concentration. The results show that only heavily soiled surfaces have signi?cant impact on PV performance and, particularly, a decrease of 5.6%. On the other hand, light or medium soiling have negligible impact on PV performance. On the other hand, the impact of ambient aerosol concentration levels on PV e?ciency is more complex and requires further study. Aerosol scattering of di?erent wavelengths can possibly a?ect PV e?ciency, however, this fact may be related to the speci?c spectral response of PV cells.

  • In-situ performance and degradation of three different photovoltaic module technologies installed in arid climate of Morocco

    摘要: This paper presents the results of a first-time study on the long-term performance, degradation and cost analysis of three different PV module technologies - monocrystalline silicon (m-Si), polycrystalline silicon (p-Si), and amorphous silicon (a-Si) - installed in the desert climate of Errachidia, Morocco. It mainly aims to determine the most adapted module technology. The performance ratio (PR), degradation rate (Rd) and levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) indicators have been determined for each installed PV technology. Results revealed that p-Si technology exhibits the best performance with the highest PR of 82.54 ± 5.84 % compared to 82.24 ± 4.77 % for m-Si and 81.36 ± 3.79 % for a-Si. However, the p-Si technology degrades faster with 0.92 ± 0.11 %/year compared to 0.45 ± 0.11 %/year for m-Si and 0.72 ± 0.11 %/year for a-Si. Thus, the generated energy and the calculated Rd of the investigated technologies are used for the LCOE calculation. Indeed, the lowest LCOE value is noticed for p-Si system with 10.32 c€/kWh compared to 11.15 c€/kWh for m-Si and 13.18 c€/kWh for a-Si.

    摘要: Due to the mismatch between the residential electrical load and the output power of the rooftop photovoltaic (PV) systems, node voltages in a low voltage distribution network (LVDN) may exceed the allowable upper limit during the daytime and drop far below the lower limit at night. Existing LVDN voltage regulation methods based on reactive power control of the rooftop PV inverter usually regulate all the inverters using the same control strategy with identical control parameters, although PV inverters at different nodes have different voltage sensitivities to active and reactive power flows. In this paper, an optimized decentralized control strategy of residential PV inverters based on voltage sensitivity matrix is proposed, and different control parameters would be determined and applied to each PV inverters at different LVDN nodes. The proposed strategy provides an optimal control framework for the rooftop PV inverters to maintain voltage within the normal range under varying active power generated by the PV systems, and simulation results verify that the total reactive power output of the PV inverters can be effectively reduced.

  • Efficient Carrier Transport for AlGaN-Based Deep-UV LEDs With Graded Superlattice p-AlGaN

    摘要: This paper studies the optimization problem of topological active net (TAN), which is often seen in image segmentation and shape modeling. A TAN is a topological structure containing many nodes, whose positions must be optimized while a prede?ned topology needs to be maintained. TAN optimization is often time-consuming and even constructing a single solution is hard to do. Such a problem is usually approached by a “best improvement local search” (BILS) algorithm based on deterministic search (DS), which is inef?cient because it spends too much efforts in nonpromising probing. In this paper, we propose the use of micro-differential evolution (DE) to replace DS in BILS for improved directional guidance. The resultant algorithm is termed deBILS. Its micro-population ef?ciently utilizes historical information for potentially promising search directions and hence improves ef?ciency in probing. Results show that deBILS can probe promising neighborhoods for each node of a TAN. Experimental tests verify that deBILS offers substantially higher search speed and solution quality not only than ordinary BILS, but also the genetic algorithm and scatter search algorithm.

  • Grid-Connected Photovoltaic System Stability Enhancement Using Ant Lion Optimized Model Reference Adaptive Control Strategy

    摘要: An inductive-capacitive-inductive (LCL) type filters are broadly utilized in grid-connected voltage source inverters (VSIs) since they can give substantially improved attenuation of switching harmonics in currents injected into the grid with lower cost, weight and power losses than their L and LC type counterparts. This paper discusses an improved model reference adaptive control (MRAC) strategy for designing the control parameters to voltage source converter and improves stability of photovoltaic (PV) generation in different grid capabilities. An improved damping strategy is commonly referred to as MRAC, which has been developed using the proportional resonant (PR) controller and its gain parameters are optimized by Ant Lion optimization (ALO) algorithm. The error elimination at steady-state and gain at particular frequency were provided by the PR current controller. The main focus is set on the mathematical modelling of grid-connected PV, LCL filter and PR current controller and its parameters specifically, resonant and proportional gains. Further, the phase margin and gain of the controller transfer function are presented by means of bode plot to evaluate the operating condition of the controller for different gain parameters. Moreover, a large number of control strategies are mandatory for optimizing the controller parameters and to stabilize the system with zero steady-state error. The obtained results of improved MRAC strategy is presented and its effectiveness is compared with some existing controllers.

    摘要: The design and real-time hardware-in-the-loop implementation of a hybrid synchrophasors and GOOSE-based automatic synchronization algorithm are presented in this paper. Automatic synchronization is performed by utilizing the synchrophasor measurements from two commercial phasor measurement units (PMUs), while the coordinated control commands to automatic voltage regulator and/or turbine governor control and trip command to the circuit breaker are issued using IEC 61850-8-1 GOOSE messages. The algorithm is deployed inside the PMU using the protection logic equations, and direct communication between the PMUs is established to minimize the communication latencies. In addition, the algorithm is tested using a standard protection relay test-set, and automatic test sequences are executed to validate its performance. It is concluded that the hybrid synchrophasor and GOOSE-based automatic synchronization scheme ensures minimum communication latencies, reduces equipment cost, facilitates interoperability, and performs automatic reconnection adequately.

  • Territorial planning for photovoltaic power plants using an outranking approach and GIS

    摘要: In 2015 the Paris Agreement set the goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. To achieve these objectives, it is necessary to boost electricity generation coming from renewable energy sources, particularly solar energy. Finding areas that are suitable for solar farm development is crucial for the economic feasibility of these projects and the sustainable use of land. This research investigates how to identify optimal sites for the development of solar plants. A GIS-based approach combined with a Multi-Criteria Evaluation methodology is used to create a map which shows a ranking of areas with high potential for solar farm development. The GIS-based methodology is employed in the treatment of the legal and environmental criteria and sub-criteria to delimit the suitable locations. These locations are evaluated and ranked by order using the PROMETHEE (Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluations). The importance of each criteria and sub-criteria is determined by an Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). In the Valencian Community the most discriminating criterion, when selecting the best locations, is the intensity of solar radiation, while temperature is the least discriminant. In terms of areas, the most suitable are located in the province of Alicante, while the least suitable are in the north of the Castellón province. It is also observed that the most appropriate locations are those that have greater solar radiation, and/or are at a lower altitude.
