    摘要: This paper presents an independent operation of the rotor-side converter (RSC) and grid-side converter (GSC) for a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG)-based wind energy conversion system under unbalanced grid voltage conditions. In this paper, the RSC is controlled to achieve four different control targets, including balanced stator current, sinusoidal rotor current, smooth stator active and reactive powers, and constant DFIG electromagnetic torque. The GSC is commanded to keep the dc voltage at a constant value. Additional feedback compensators using resonant regulators for the RSC are employed, and the decompositions of the positive and negative sequence components and calculations of the rotor negative current references can be avoided. Another similar compensator is used in the GSC to suppress the dc voltage ?uctuates and remove the GSC reactive power oscillations without the stator or rotor power information. The proposed method can make the RSC and GSC available to an independent operation with a simple implementation for higher reliability. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy for both the RSC and GSC under unbalanced grid voltage conditions.

    摘要: State-space current control enables high dynamic performance of a three-phase grid-connected converter equipped with an LCL filter. In this paper, observer-based state-space control is designed using direct pole placement in the discrete-time domain and in grid-voltage coordinates. Analytical expressions for the controller and observer gains are derived as functions of the physical system parameters and design specifications. The connection between the physical parameters and the control algorithm enables automatic tuning. Parameter sensitivity of the control method is analyzed. The experimental results show that the resonance of the LCL filter is well damped, and the dynamic performance specified by direct pole placement is obtained for the reference tracking and grid-voltage disturbance rejection.

  • Phase-locked Strategy of Photovoltaic Connected to Distribution Network with High Proportion Electric Arc Furnace

    摘要: With the rapid development of industrialization, the proportion of electric arc furnaces (EAF) in distribution networks is getting higher and higher. Aiming at the problem that grid voltage is distorted by a large number of arc furnace nonlinear loads accessing to distribution networks, it is crucial to make dynamic analysis of distribution network voltage and adopt a control strategy of grid-connected converter based on the new phase-locked loop (PLL) technology. As a result, the harmonic distortion rate is reduced and the quality of grid-connected current and voltage is improved. In this paper, photovoltaic (PV) system model and the typical dynamic model of the EAF are established. By analyzing the influence of the EAF model on the PV grid-connected converter with the traditional phase-locked loop while connected to distribution network, a control strategy of the PV grid-connected converter with the self-adjusting double SOGI (MAF-SASOGI) phase-locked loop with the ideal low-pass filter is proposed. Through the simulation analysis, it is verified that precise phase locked can be realized and harmonic content of the system can be reduced by the PLL strategy proposed in this paper. Therefore, the quality of PV grid-connected voltage and current is improved.

    摘要: In order to improve the equipment utilization of distributed photovoltaic power generation system, the harmonic and reactive currents generated by grid-connected photovoltaic can be accurately detected and compensated. A phase-locked loop based on second-order generalized integrator (SOGI-PLL) is introduced into the traditional FBD current detection method to separate the positive and negative sequence components of unbalanced voltage and detect the phase and frequency of reference voltage more accurately. The simulation results show that the algorithm can reduce the computational complexity and increase the detection accuracy and steady-state performance.

    摘要: this paper deals the performance comparison and efficiencies of single-axis and dual-axis tracking PV system to an identical fixed-mount PV system for two typical clear sunny days (Ghardaia area), two typical days are chosen, the first day in winter and the second day in the summer. For the three types of PV systems, P&O-PI MPPT techniques optimized with a genetic algorithm is proposed. This paper has two different objectives. 1stly, a proposed MPPT technique has been presented to optimize P&O-PI controller via the GA technique to increase the tracking response of MPP with high efficiency and that improves the limitations of the traditional MPPT techniques. 2ndly, a performance comparison of efficiencies of single-axis and dual-axis tracking system and an identical fixed inclination system .Simulation results with MATLAB/SIMULINK are presented and discussed to verify the satisfactory performance of the proposed MPPT control, in which the optimized P&O-PI controller by GA algorithms gives the better performance. The simulation results also have shown that both single-axis and dual-axis are highly efficient in terms of the electrical energy output when compared to the fixed mount system. The results show the effectiveness of the tracking system of about 25% in energy efficiency.

    摘要: A modified soft-switched boost converter with a lower number of auxiliary components is proposed in this paper that provides either zero-voltage-transition (ZVT) or zero-current-transition (ZCT) operation for main switch and diode. Proposed converter is utilized in a single-phase grid-tied photovoltaic power generation system. Due to importance of maximum power harvesting from PV, incremental conductance MPPT procedure is employed to control DC/DC converter. Simulation is performed in PLECS software to validate the advantageous introduced soft-switching technique.

    摘要: This paper presents a cost-effective system-level restoration scheme to improve power grids resilience by efficient response to the damages due to natural or manmade disasters. A post-disaster decision making model is developed to find the optimal repair schedule, unit commitment solution, and system configuration in restoration of the damaged power grid. The physical constraints of the power grid, associated with the unit commitment and restoration, are considered in the proposed model. The value of lost load is used as a viable measure to represent the criticality of each load in the power grid. The model is formulated as a mixed-integer program and, then, is decomposed into an integer master problem and a dual linear subproblem to be solved using Benders decomposition algorithm. Different scenarios are developed to analyze the proposed model on the standard IEEE 118-bus test system. This paper provides a prototype and a proof of concept for utility companies to consider economics of disaster and include unit commitment model into the post-disaster restoration process.

  • Sliding Mode Controller with Integral Action for DC-Link Voltage Control of Grid-Integrated Domestic Photovoltaic Systems

    摘要: The grid integration of photovoltaic systems is preferred over the islanded mode of operation as the former does not require additional storage element, hence less maintenance and no chemical pollution. To regulate power exchange between the grid and the photovoltaic system, a robust DC-link voltage controller capable of withstanding the intermittent nature of solar energy and sudden variations in load is inevitable. A proportional–integral controller is used for DC-link voltage control, exhibiting oscillations during steady state and overshoot during transients. However, the conventional sliding mode controller reduces the overshoot at the expense of increased steady-state error. This paper proposes a robust sliding mode controller for DC-link voltage control to reduce steady-state error by incorporating integral action to the conventional sliding mode controller. The harmful effect of chattering phenomenon is minimised by limiting the error in the control variable using a signum function. The added features of the work include an incremental conductance method for obtaining maximum power from the photovoltaic system, instantaneous pq theory-based self-tuning ?lter for the extraction of fundamental component and inverter switching pulse generation using hysteresis current control technique. The grid-integrated photovoltaic system along with all features is modelled and simulated in MATLAB/Simulink platform. The results of numerical simulations carried out for various system conditions illustrate that the proposed controller provides superior performance when compared to proportional integral controller and conventional sliding mode controller in terms of harmonic compensation, power ?ow balance and speed of response at all system conditions.

    摘要: The intermittent penetration of Grid-connected photovoltaic systems and load changing in distribution feeders can cause voltage ?uctuation. This paper aims to analyze the performance of different power control strategies to avoid overvoltage in MV feeders. The strategies use Volt/Var control and Volt/Watt control techniques to ?nd the optimal active or reactive power to be injected/absorbed by the PV inverters with the aim to minimize the voltage deviation and power losses and also coordinate the grid-connected photovoltaic system with the voltage regulation devices of distribution feeders. The strategies are tested in the IEEE 13 node test feeder.

    摘要: This paper focus on developing a new islanding detection method with the help of machine learning and signal processing technique. The islanding detection method make sure that there is a proper remote monitoring of the grid integrated photovoltaic (PV) system. In case of grid fault or maintained of the grid, a proper informed signal is provided to various distributed generation (DG) networks so that they can disconnect with the grid and operate in isolated mode. A simulation of 1kW grid connected PV system is performed. The signal such as voltage, current and frequency are recorded at point of common coupling (PCC). The feature of recorded signals are extracted using wavelet transformation. The extracted features are used to form a islanding scenarios matrix. The matrix is further utilized to train a classi?er using machine learning algorithm. From the result it can be observed that the trained classi?er depicted 97.9% training accuracy with a training time of 16.9 sec which is better when compared with the literature. Further the trained classi?er is subjected to test with an unknown islanding condition to observe the robustness of the classi?er.
