    摘要: This paper presents a novel architecture to integrate the photovoltaic and energy storage to the grid. The modular approach is provided by using the triple port active bridge DC-DC converter modules and the cascaded H-Bridge multilevel inverter structures. The modular approach helps in easy scaling up, easy maintenance and better controllability of the available power. The triple port bridge is capable of supplying and receiving power in any of its ports, allowing various control modes. Also the voltage control mode at its output allows for additional grid services. The cascaded H-bridge is a multilevel inverter with higher number of voltage levels, reduced ?lter size, lower switching frequency, lower dv/dt and EMC issues. The experimental and simulation results presented in this paper ensures that the proposed architecture is suitable for large scale photovoltaic and energy storage grid integration.

  • Evaluation of Assembly Gap from 3D Laser Measurements via FEA Simulation

    摘要: This study evaluated the characteristics of temperature field distribution of the concrete box girder based on the middle bridge of Xiaosha River, and the effects of temperature in severely cold area were determined through experiments and finite element model (FEM) analysis. An FEM model of the concrete box girder considering the temperature field was established based on heat transfer theory to verify the accuracy of the model. Moreover, the calculation of the vertical temperature distribution and the temperature distribution along the web plate was conducted. The distribution along the through-thickness direction of the bottom plate and the temperature drop caused by cold waves was evaluated. Results suggest that the published codes and guidebooks were relevant. The effect of the most unfavorable condition of temperature load was also calculated. The result drawn from this research shows that the distribution of temperature field at the cross sections in the severely cold area differed greatly from that in the current code. However, the temperature difference in the top flange was not evident, whereas it was much larger in the bottom flange. The temperature in the web was higher than that in the top flange under solar radiation and was lower during cooling. The results of the temperature effect were much more critical than the result calculated using the vertical temperature gradient in the current code. The tensile stress produced by temperature load may cause cracks. Consequently, sufficient attention should be paid to the damage of thermal effects when calculating the concrete box girder in the northwest of the severely cold area.

  • Extended Reactive Power Exchange With Faulty cells in Grid tied Cascaded H-Bridge converter for Solar PhotoVoltaic Application

    摘要: Fault tolerant operation is a key feature of grid tied PV fed Cascaded H-Bridge (CHB) converter, where the converter operates continuously with faulty bypassed cells. After bypassing the faulty cells, the number of healthy cells decreases, the available dc link voltage reduces and active power among the phases become unequal. As a result, the converter produces unbalanced and distorted grid currents. Moreover, the maximum reactive power exchanged with the grid gets reduced with the available DC link voltage. This paper injection proposes a novel zero sequence voltage technique for balancing the grid currents and preventing over modulation in each cell of the converter. The proposed technique extends the reactive power capability of the converter during post fault condition. Additionally, it also helps in equal active and reactive power flow in each phase of the converter. A new PWM clamping strategy is proposed in this paper to implement the zero sequence voltage addition in the converter. The proposed concept is verified through computer simulation and experimental results.

    摘要: In the design of inverter controllers, a phase-locked loop (PLL) is usually used to synchronize the inverter output with power grids. However, the adoption of PLL may increase the complexity of the controller. In addition, the accuracy of the PLL can be impacted if the power quality of the power grid is distorted, and the inaccurate PLL output can degrade the performance of the controller. To overcome these issues, a number of non-PLL control strategies have been studied for the single-phase PV inverter. In this work, a novel non-PLL direct power control strategy (DPC) for single-phase H-bridge SVPWM photovoltaic (PV) inverters are proposed. In this strategy, instantaneous real and reactive power are calculated respectively by using voltage and current components with specific frequencies. Then a maximum power point tracker (MPPT) technique is integrated with the strategy to maximize PV generation. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.

  • Calibration Method for Dynamic Deflection Measurement of Bridges by Photogrammetry

    摘要: Heavy vehicular traffic and aggressive environmental conditions can cause unexpected bridge deterioration, thus, periodic inspections to identify and assess possible defects are required. One indicator is the amount of vertical deflection that occurs during loading. Some different types of transducers can be used to measure the deflection. One of them is the photogrammetry. It is a typical noncontact measurement method. Unfortunately, it is difficult to calibrate this type of instruments. The key point is the evaluation of the dynamic deflection measurement capability. A dynamic calibration system of bridge photogrammetric measurement system was composed of the motorized linear stage, LED target and computer. The Fréchet distance was used as a model to evaluate the dynamic deflection measurement capability of bridge deflection photogrammetry. The photogrammetric bridge deflection measuring instruments are products of BIOET, which are used to carry out the measurement experiment. The results show that this system can calibrate the dynamic deflection measurement error of photogrammetric bridge deflection measuring instruments. Fréchet distance can reflect the relationship between the curves. This evaluation method is more accurate than the current evaluation method based on the error of indication of maximum dynamic deflection.

    摘要: In order to improve the efficiency of crack detection of concrete bridge structures, a new method based on computer vision technology and coordinate mapping is proposed. In this research, this crack measurement system is integrated mainly with a high magnification image acquisition system, a two-dimensional electric cradle head device and a laser ranging system. It has a set of observing coordinate system. Firstly, the marking points’ image coordinates are mapped to the observation coordinates. Secondly, according to the marking points’ observation coordinates, the measured crack’s coordinates are mapped to a same world coordinates so as to realize the spatial location of the measured cracks regardless of different test cycles or instrument’s setup positions, which is a great convenience for the review detection of surface cracks of concrete bridge structures. The experiments show that this method is efficient and convenient. It can automatically locate the measured cracks within 16 s, and the deviation is not more than ± 0.07 °. At a distance of 100 m, the measurement accuracy of crack width is better than ± 0.12 mm.

    摘要: We present a setup for linearity investigation of high precision bridge amplifiers as used for strain gauge transducer in static force and torque measurements. The setup allows to characterize bridge amplifiers in much more detail than the 0.1 mV/V step size of the BN100 bridge standard or a recently proposed resistor-based strain gauge bridge transducer simulator. Only with the presented linearity investigation setup it is now possible to verify the specified uncertainty of high precision bridge amplifiers of 5 · 10?6 mV/V at 225 Hz.

    摘要: Spaceborne sensors allow large areas of the Earth to be monitored with small revisit times; conversely, use of in situ techniques frequently limits spatial and/or temporal coverage of critical infrastructure observations. In this paper, some of the potentialities of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) for railway bridge monitoring are explored. The study is focused on a case study regarding a bridge near Triflisco, a small city in Campania, Italy. Twenty-six Cosmo-SkyMed stripmap SAR images were acquired over the area, allowing for a permanent-scatterer (PS) analysis of the bridge structure. Thanks to the availability of a detailed ground truth, the physical nature of the bridge PSs, their spatial distribution, and their time behavior are investigated. In particular, the PS behavior is compared to deformation results obtained using thermal loads in a finite-element model of the bridge.

    摘要: The primary bottlenecks that hinder the widespread application of Differential Synthetic Aperture Radar Interferometry (DInSAR) technique for bridge monitoring are the difficulties in reverting three-dimensional (3D) deformation of these complex structures and achieving detailed structural risk assessment for end users. To address these challenges, we developed an improved time series InSAR analysis approach that can retrieve 3D deformation of bridges and enable a detailed structural risk assessment. The proposed strategy effectively integrates the observations from multiple SAR sensors to reveal the 3D deformation. Moreover, the selected point-like targets (PTs) are classified and linked to specific bridge features based on their temporal deformation models to make a detailed structural risk assessment. Our results demonstrate the effectiveness of integrating observations from multiple SAR sensors in studying bridge 3D deformation and investigating the structural risk.

    摘要: This study aims to monitor the long term behavior of the bridge using time series interferometric technique. The accurate interpretation of the interferometric phase in the case of bridge, relies on the understanding of contributions of components such as DEM error, thermal expansion, and linear displacement. To decompose each contribution, this study applied the PSI algorithm using multi-temporal Cosmo-Skymed SAR data for Kimdaejung bridge. This study was able to find the unique displacement pattern, which is called as a deflection. The deflection is commonly caused by the creep, shrinkage, and ageing. Due to the early stage after the completion of the construction, the physical change of the bridge characteristics leads to the deflection. Thus, this paper verifies the potential to monitoring the long term deflection and implies that the bridge need to be monitored continuously.
