    摘要: Flame detection systems are useful for the development of fire early detection systems. In general, conventional fire detection system which is usually used heat detector cannot detect the presence of fire since the detector requires much time to detect temperature changes. The use of a camera as an image scanner sensor has the potential to be used as an identifier of a flame shape or color. This study aims to build an image processing flame detection system using image enhancement, segmentation and filtering methods which is applied the Vission Assistant available in LabVIEW. The system implemented in a frame rate of 30 fps with a resolution of 1024 x 768, in which the system accuracy reach up to 98%.

  • Use and Analysis of Color Models in Image Processing

    摘要: The use of color image processing is divided by two factors. First color is used in object identification and simplifies extraction from a scene and color is powerful descriptor. Second, humans can use thousands of color shades and intensities. Color Image Processing is divided into two areas full color and pseudo-color processing. In this processing various color models are used that are based on color recognition, color components etc. A few papers on various applications such as lane detection, face detection, fruit quality evaluation etc based on these color models have been published. A survey on widely used models RGB, HSI, HSV, RGI, etc. is represented in this paper.

    摘要: the FCM (Fuzzy C-Mean) is on of algorithms used in the background image separation research. This study aims to improve the quality of image segmentation using FCM algorithm with Local Laplacian Filter. Thus, we applied the Local Laplacian Filter into the V (Value) and S (Saturation) component of the image. The result of Laplacian Filter then clustered using FCM method. The result of segmentation using FCM and Local Laplacian Filter will be compared with ground-truths images to reveal the value of the PSNR (Peak Signal to Noise Ratio) and the MSE (Mean Square Error). This study also compared the results of the MSE and PSNR with the FCM and K-Mean algorithms. The is done preprocessing first by using Local Laplacian Filter which gives the color contrast to the image. So the image becomes sharper and when the image changed to the color space HSV already looks quite striking color differences between objects with the background. The results of that segmentation using FCM and Local Laplacian Filter has the best MSE and PSNR results compared to the 2 tested algorithms.

  • Image Judgment Auxiliary System for Table Tennis Umpiring under Low Light Conditions

    摘要: In table tennis competitions, the rule violation judgment with the greatest controversy is the height of the ball serve. This is because inaccuracy in the ball height judgment, which results in erroneous judgment, is unavoidable. Thus, we designed an automatic image judgment auxiliary system for table tennis ball height during service in this study. We used a high-speed camera to record the ball toss in the table tennis service. The designed algorithm architecture can automatically search for the ball and the position of the hand action under low light source conditions. It is often di?cult to provide enough light when using high-speed photography and this leads to underexposure. The algorithm is mainly divided into hue-saturation-value color space processing and morphology processing using Hough transform to search for the circular ball. Experiment result shows that color segmentation can successfully and accurately determine the ball position under low light conditions. The morphology method can ?nd the position of the hand and help determine the moment when the ball leaves the hand during the service ball toss. Finally, the actual size of the target is used to estimate the actual distance unit represented by the image pixel.

  • Determination of ulcer in the digestive tract using image analysis in wireless capsule?endoscopy

    摘要: This paper presents an image processing algorithm for the diagnosis of ulcers, which is a lesion occurring in the digestive tract, based on endoscopic images. In general, ulcers are visually distinguishable from normal tissues owing to the defective state in the mucosal membrane, cornea or skin tissue. Based on this characteristic, we used different colors to distinguish between ulcer and normal tissues in the proposed method. First, image luminance was adjusted to ensure similar luminance distribution values through a preprocessing stage in which the captured images were normalized to achieve uniform intensity distribution for each channel. Then, we selected distinctive elements for the detection of ulcer tissues with distinct image-associated chromatic characteristics. Because image luminance can affect detection even after preprocessing, we selected elements that were distinguishable from normal tissues based on the distribution of values displayed by ulcers from both RGB and HSV bands. Moreover, most of the digestive tract ulcers occur on the mucosal surface and tend to cluster together to form a specific zone. This implies that a detected ulcer pixel is more likely to be surrounded by ulcer tissue than normal tissue. Therefore, we used the intensity of each image channel as an additional detection element and performed ulcerative zone detection. An additional advantage of the zone detection process is the exclusion of errors caused by image-emanated random impulse noise. For performance evaluation of the image processing algorithm, we used fifty sheets of endoscopic images and conducted ulcer detection experiments. Finally, we validated our algorithm as showing 91.05% sensitivity and 98.64% specificity.
