    摘要: There is growing interest for implementing tools to monitor cognitive performance in naturalistic environments. Recent technological progress has allowed the development of new generations of brain imaging systems such as dry electrodes electroencephalography (EEG) and functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) to investigate cortical activity in a variety of human tasks out of the laboratory. These highly portable brain imaging devices offer interesting prospects to implement passive brain computer interfaces (pBCI) and neuroadaptive technology. We developed a fNIRS-EEG based pBCI to monitor cognitive fatigue using engagement related features (EEG engagement ratio and wavelet coherence fNIRS based metrics). This mental state is known to impair cognitive performance and can jeopardize flight safety. In this preliminary study, four participants were asked to perform four identical traffic patterns along with a secondary auditory task in a flight simulator and in an actual light aircraft. The two first traffic patterns were considered as the low cognitive fatigue class, whereas the two last traffic patterns were considered as the high cognitive fatigue class. As expected, the pilots missed more auditory targets in the second part than in the first part of the experiment. Classification accuracy reached 87.2% in the flight simulator condition and 87.6% in the actual flight conditions when combining the two modalities. This study demonstrates that fNIRS and EEG-based pBCIs can monitor mental states in operational and noisy environments.

  • Polymer-assisted In-situ Growth of All-Inorganic Perovskite Nanocrystal Film for Efficient and Stable Pure Red Light-emitting Devices

    摘要: In the past few years, a substantial progress has been made for perovskite light-emitting devices. Both pure green and infrared thin film perovskite light-emitting devices with external quantum efficiency over 20% have been successfully achieved. However, pure red and blue thin film perovskite light-emitting diodes still suffer from inferior efficiency. Therefore, the development of efficient and stable thin film perovskite light-emitting diodes with pure red and blue emissions is urgently needed for possible applications as a new display technology and solid-state lighting. Here, we demonstrate an efficient light-emitting diode with pure red emission based on polymer-assisted in-situ growth of high quality all-inorganic CsPbBr0.6I2.4 perovskite nanocrystal film with homogenous distribution of nanocrystals in size of 20 ~ 30 nm. With this method, we can dramatically reduce the formation temperature of CsPbBr0.6I2.4 and stabilize its perovskite phase. Eventually, we successfully demonstrate a pure-red-emission perovskite light-emitting diode with a high external quantum efficiency of 6.55% and luminance of 338 cd/m2. Furthermore, the device obtains an ultra-low turn-on voltage of 1.5 V and a half-lifetime of over 0.5 hours at a high initial luminance of 300 cd/m2.

  • Formation of the AuNPs GO@MoS2/AuNPs Nanostructures for the SERS Application

    摘要: GO nanomeshes and GO@MoS2/AuNPs nanostructures are formed on the flexible 3D Ni foam substrate for the SERS application. Smaller and denser AuNPs “hot spots” are spin-coated on such mesh-like GO@MoS2/AuNPs nanostructures to form AuNPs/GO@MoS2/AuNPs SERS substrates. The branches of GO nanomeshes are used as the homogeneous nanogaps to form the separated denser “hot spots” and absorb the molecules, resulting high electromagnetic (confirmed by the FDTD simulation) and signals enhancement. As low as 10-14 M of the Crystal Violet (CV) and Rhodamine 6G (R6G) are detected. Such flexible foam-like substrate can be used for the in-situ detection on the fish surface by scraping. DNA without label can also be easily detected by spin-coating the mixed AuNPs-DNA solution in our experiment.

  • Setup to Study the in Situ Evolution of Both Photoluminescence and Absorption during the Processing of Organic or Hybrid Semiconductors

    摘要: In situ measurement techniques, applied during the solution processing of novel semiconductors such as organic semiconductors or hybrid perovskites, have become more and more important to understand their film formation. In that context, it is crucial to determine how the optical properties, namely photoluminescence (PL) and absorption, evolve during processing. However, until now PL and absorption have mostly been investigated independently, significantly reducing the potential insights into film formation dynamics. To tackle this issue we present the development of a detection system that allows simultaneous measurement of full absorption and PL spectra during solution processing of the investigated film. We also present a spin-coater system attachable to the detection system, where the temperature of the substrate on which the film is processed can be changed. We performed test measurements by spin coating the well-known conjugated polymer P3HT demonstrating the potential of this technique. By considering absorption and corresponding PL, we extract the PL quantum yield (PLQY) during processing, which decreases with substrate temperature. Furthermore, we identify a significant red shift of the PL just prior to the onset of the aggregation process, indicating the importance of chain planarization prior to solid film formation.

  • Impact of Organic Spacers on the Carrier Dynamics in 2D Hybrid Lead-Halide Perovskites

    摘要: We have carried out non-adiabatic molecular dynamics simulations combined with time-dependent density functional theory calculations to compare the properties of the two-dimensional (2D) (BA)2(MA)Pb2I7 and three-dimensional (3D) MAPbI3 (where MA = methylammonium and BA = butylammonium) materials. We evaluate the different impacts that the 2D-confined spacer layer of butylammonium cations and the 3D-confined methylammonium cations have on the charge carrier dynamics in the two systems. Our results indicate that while both the MA+ and BA+ cations play important roles in determining the carrier dynamics, the BA+ cations exhibit stronger non-adiabatic couplings with the 2D perovskite framework. The consequence is a faster hot-carrier decay rate in 2D (BA)2(MA)Pb2I7 than in 3D MAPbI3. Thus, tuning of the functional groups of the organic spacer cations in order to reduce the vibronic couplings between the cations and the Pb-I framework can offer the opportunity to slow down the hot-carrier relaxations and increase the carrier lifetimes in 2D lead-halide perovskites.

  • : A first-principles study

    摘要: For environmental reasons there is a need for alternative Cd-free buffer materials in Cu(In,Ga)(S,Se)2 (CIGSSe) based thin film solar cells. In this context, β-In2S3 is one candidate material, whose optoelectronic properties can be affected by the presence of impurities. In this study, we investigate the impact of O and Cl impurities on the electronic and optical behavior of β-In2S3 by means of electronic structure calculations within density functional theory using hybrid functionals. We find that β-In2S3 is thermodynamically stable being in contact with both O and Cl reservoirs. Furthermore, we present evidence that O on interstitial sites (Oi) and Cl on 8c In sites (ClIn) cause low-temperature persistent electron photoconductivity. At room temperature, defect levels associated with Cl on S sites (ClS, ClS(cid:2) , and ClS(cid:2)(cid:2) ) get thermally ionized and release free electrons into the system. Thus, the n-type conductivity of the In2S3 buffer layer increases. O impurities on S sites, in contrast, are electrically inert. Hence, we conclude that intentional doping by Cl is a means to improve the properties of β-In2S3 serving as buffer material.

  • Facile synthesis of SiO2@TiO2 hybrid NPs with improved photocatalytic performance

    摘要: SiO2@TiO2 hybrid nanoparticles (NPs) were successfully prepared via a simple solvothermal approach using tetrabutyl titanate (Ti(OBu)4) as a titanium source. The morphology and crystal structure of the sample were characterised by scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope, and X-ray diffraction. The photocatalytic properties of SiO2@TiO2 hybrid NPs were also investigated in detail. The results showed that the layers of TiO2 NPs have been successfully coated onto the uniform silica sphere and transformed into anatase after calcination at 500°C. In addition, the photocatalytic activity of the as-obtained product was higher than that of the commercial P25-TiO2. The method for producing hybrid NPs has potential applications in building various types of hybrid NPs.

  • High Performance Fluorescent Turn-On Probe for Amitriptyline Based on Hybrid Nanoassembly of Organic–Inorganic Nanoparticles

    摘要: Fluorescence methods have gained enormous attention due to their ease in use, simplicity, selectivity and sensitivity. Fluorescent chemosensors respond instantly by converting molecular recognition to fluorescent signals. The consumption of pharmaceutical products by living beings is on great increase. The disposal of such compounds in the environment is a matter of great concern as these compounds enter aquatic environment and are showing accumulation in tissues of aquatic organisms. In the present study, we have utilized naphthalimide based receptors to fabricate organic nanoparticles. These ONPs were used for the development of hybrid nanoassemblies and the developed nanoassemblies were characterized with the help of TEM and DLS studies. The photophysical studies were performed and the hybrid assembly developed using receptor 2 demonstrated a turn-on fluorescence emission behaviour on binding with Amitriptyline. The present sensing system acted as promising candidate for determination of Amitriptyline among other contending drug molecules. The established system can recognize amitriptyline up to a detection limit of 48 nM in aqueous medium. Electrochemical recognition studies show binding of hybrid nanoassembly of receptor 2 with Amitriptyline with limit of detection of 21 nM.

  • Adaptive AoA and Polarization Estimation for Receiving Polarized mmWave Signals

    摘要: This paper proposes a novel hybrid dual-polarized antenna array which exploits two orthogonally-collocated dipoles to capture the full power of a polarized millimeter wave signal. To maximize the received signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), we study the adaptive angle-of-arrival and polarization state estimation, and develop a differential beam tracking algorithm and a cross-correlation-to-power ratio polarization tracking algorithm for interleaved hybrid dual-polarized arrays. Simulation results verify the superior performance of the proposed algorithms, and confirm the significant improvement of SNR obtained by using the proposed array and algorithms.

    摘要: In the field of low and medium voltage reactive power compensation, the switching of capacitor groups based on phase-controlled switching technology is a better way than others. However, the accuracy and reliability of contacts switching point are the key factors affecting the work efficiency. It is technically difficult to meet all the requirements. In recent years, ABB has proposed a phase-choosing model based on the hybrid device composed of semiconductor and mechanical switches, which has a certain effect on suppressing the transient effect of reactive power compensation. Based on the ABB model, this paper presents an optimization model of Y- connection hybrid switching system of vacuum switch and power electronic device, and studies the switching strategy of the model. The simulation and the tests show its effectiveness in suppressing transient problems. Compared with the traditional phase-controlled switch technology, the new scheme will help the switch work in a wide phase range for avoiding transient effect. It is demanded that the new method has more tolerance to the dispersion of the operating mechanism, and more benefit to the realization of the flexible phase -choosing technology.
