摘要: The characterization of physically small antennas in the millimeter-wave range has proven to be a challenge. Several research groups have developed new antenna measurement systems to be able to characterize millimeter-wave antennas. These measurement systems mainly focus on the establishment of a well-defined connection between test equipment and the antenna-under-test (AUT) for radiation pattern measurements. However, uncertainties affecting the measurement results are not always well understood. We have investigated the effect of misalignment, the effectiveness of an anechoic environment for frequencies up to 90 GHz and the impact of spurious radiation of the probe.

Optical Sensing of Broadband RF Magnetic Field Using a Micrometer-Sized Diamond
摘要: High-resolution ?eld imaging with minimized invasiveness is of growing interest with the development of radio frequency (RF) integrated circuits and planar antenna characterization. In this paper, we propose an optical broadband sensor with static offset magnetic ?eld using a diamond crystal that contains an ensemble of nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers. The spatial resolution of micrometer scale is demonstrated by using a diamond crystal of this size. This technique is based on the modulation of ?uorescence emitting by NV center under green laser excitation, by an off-axis magnetic ?eld at radio frequencies. We demonstrate experimentally the detection of an RF magnetic ?eld, with minimum measurable amplitude on the order of 0.1 Gauss, which is limited by the noise ?oor of the avalanche photodetector. The sensitivity can be further improved by noise suppression in optics. The bandwidth of the sensor is measured to be 15 MHz.

Circular Semi-Quantum Secret Sharing Using Single Particles
摘要: Semi-quantum secret sharing (SQSS) is an important branch of semi-quantum cryptography, and di?ers from quantum secret sharing (QSS) in that not all parties are required to possess quantum capabilities. All previous SQSS protocols have three common features: (i) they adopt product states or entangled states as initial quantum resource; (ii) the particles prepared by quantum party are transmitted in a tree-type way; and (iii) they require the classical parties to possess the measurement capability. In this paper, two circular SQSS protocols with single particles are suggested, where the ?rst one requires the classical parties to possess the measurement capability while the second one does not have this requirement. Compared with the previous SQSS protocols, the proposed SQSS protocols have some distinct features: (i) they adopt single particles rather than product states or entangled states as initial quantum resource; (ii) the particles prepared by quantum party are transmitted in a circular way; and (iii) the second protocol releases the classical parties from the measurement capability. The proposed SQSS protocols are robust against some famous attacks from an eavesdropper, such as the measure-resend attack, the intercept-resend attack and the entangle-measure attack, and are feasible with present quantum technologies in reality.

Study on the Statistical Errors in X-Ray Stress Measurement with Two-Dimensional Detector
摘要: The sin2 ψ method [1] is conventionally used well as how to measure non-destructively the residual strain and stress states of polycrystalline materials by X-ray diffraction. In the conventional method, there are D?lle-Hauk method [2] and Winholz-Cohen least squares analysis [3] as the determinations of the strain and stress states for limiting the influence of measurement errors. Many researches are made about the statistical error in those methods. In recent years, use of the X-ray stress measurements with two-dimensional detector from the conventional method is spreading. One of the measurements is called the cos α method. The measurement errors have attracted a great deal of attention for users as the spreads. Therefore, the basic equations and determinations of the strain and stress states are examined. The confidence intervals of measured stress by the cos α method. The research and development is performed for the the cos α method which took the influence of measurement errors into consideration.

Speckle-free common-path quantitative phase imaging with high temporal phase stability using a partially spatially coherent multi-spectral light source
摘要: Quantitative phase imaging (QPI) has been an important technique for the determination of various biophysical parameters, such as the refractive index and morphology of biological cells and tissues. The technique has been implemented using off-axis and common path digital holographic microscopy (DHM). Off-axis DHM, though being ideal for QPI, offers lower temporal phase stability compared to common path techniques. Common path DHM offers a higher temporal phase stability but, being a coherent imaging technique, suffers from speckle artefacts and spurious interference fringes due to the high coherence of the light source. Both artefacts not only degrade the image quality, but also affect the phase measurement results. In this paper, we report the implementation of common path QPI set-up using a partially spatially coherent multi-spectral light source. The spatial coherence of the red and green color lasers is reduced by using a rotating diffuser. Also, a speckle free QPI was implemented using common path Fresnel biprism interferometer. A Fresnel biprism is used in the self-referencing mode, thus offering the advantage of no optical power loss in addition to high temporal stability and the least speckle artefacts. Furthermore, it is very easy to implement, as the system completely replaces the need for spatial filtering at the source end as well as for the reference beam generation. The experiments have been carried out on industrial and biological samples to prove the effect.

New Assay Method Based on Raman Spectroscopy for Enzymes Reacting with Gaseous Substrates
摘要: Enzyme activity is typically assayed by quantitatively measuring the initial and final concentrations of the substrates and/or products over a defined time period. For enzymatic reactions involving gaseous substrates, the substrate concentrations can be estimated either directly by gas chromatography or mass spectrometry, or indirectly by absorption spectroscopy, if the catalytic reactions involve electron transfer with electron mediators that exhibit redox-dependent spectral changes. We have developed a new assay system for measuring the time course of enzymatic reactions involving gaseous substrates based on Raman spectroscopy. This system permits continuous monitoring of the gas composition in the reaction cuvette in a non-invasive manner over a prolonged time period. We have applied this system to the kinetic study of the [NiFe] hydrogenase from Desulfovibrio vulgaris Miyazaki F. This enzyme physiologically catalyzes the reversible oxidation of H2 and also possesses the non-physiological functions of H/D exchange and nuclear spin isomer conversion reactions. The proposed system has the additional advantage of enabling us to measure all of the hydrogenase-mediated reactions simultaneously. Using the proposed system, we confirmed that H2 (the fully exchanged product) is concomitantly produced alongside HD by the H/D exchange reaction in the D2/H2O system. Based on a kinetic model, the ratio of the rate constants of the H/D exchange reaction (k) at the active site and product release rate (kout) was estimated to be 1.9±0.2. The proposed assay method based on Raman spectroscopy can be applied to the investigation of other enzymes involving gaseous substrates.

摘要: The paper presents a results of software calculation and experimental measurement determination of unified glare rating (UGR) for two teacher rooms in an educational building. Three-dimensional computer modeling and multivariate UGR software calculation with light-emitting diode luminaires having different lighting distributions and taking into account the actual position and the line of sight of the observer are performed. A methodology for experimental measurement and determination of UGR has been proposed and demonstrated for the same two rooms. The results are presented in tabular and graphical form. A comparative analysis of the results obtained from the software calculations and the experimental determination of UGR is carried out. Conclusions have been made about the influence on the accuracy of the URG values obtained of the light distribution type of the luminaires, the location and orientation of the line of sight of the observer, and the choice of the background luminance surface.

Instantaneous microwave frequency measurement with high-resolution based on stimulated Brillouin scattering
摘要: A novel photonic method of instantaneous microwave frequency measurement (IMFM) based on Stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) is proposed. The principle of the technique is the employment of SBS effect to amplify/attenuate two adjacent frequency components, which result in a definite amplitude comparison function (ACF). Using this technique, the frequency of an unknown RF signal can be precisely obtained. Experimental results show the measurement capability of the proposed method over a frequency range of 0.47–23 GHz with a higher resolution of 8 MHz.

摘要: Due to the interaction with the environment, a quantum state is often affected by the different types of noises which becomes to one of the biggest problems for practical quantum computation. We study the possibility of protecting the mixed state of a quantum system that goes through noise by weak measurements and control operations. The aim is to find the optimal measurement strength and control operations and make the input and output states as close as possible. We show that our scheme can effectively protect arbitrary mixed states against typical types of noise sources: amplitude damping, phase damping and amplitude-phase damping. The optimal measurement and control operators are deduced in different bases of the Bloch sphere to find the best control scheme for each type of noise. The effectiveness of our control scheme is demonstrated by simulation results.
