摘要: Pulse-driven Josephson arrays successfully demonstrated their high potential for impedance metrology in the last years. With their high spectral purity and fundamental accuracy, they are perfectly suited for impedance measurements over the whole complex plane. PTB’s two-terminal impedance bridge is equipped with new electronics to extend the frequency range, to increase the signal amplitude and to simplify the setting of the phase angle. A 1:1 ratio measurement of 10 nF capacitance standards has been carried out between 246 Hz and 40 kHz at a signal amplitude of 75 mV (RMS). The value of a 10 nF capacitance standard is traced back to the ac quantum Hall resistor at PTB using 100 mV (RMS) signal amplitude.

摘要: This paper describes minimalistic, economic, automated, digital sampling calibration setup for calibration of a strain gauge bridge calibration unit BN100 or similar high division ratio dividers. The setup uses impedance divider instead of the IVD as the reference divider. It achieves comparable or better uncertainty for division ratios below 1 mV/V compared to the IVD based methods. For 1 mV/V the expanded uncertainty (k = 2) is 8 nV/V from the input.

摘要: The paper describes an ac impedance measurement comparator system which uses a current divider (or splitter). The divider makes use of a current comparator whose windings are connected in a way such as to allow the splitting of a single current signal in two components with very accurate ratio to be attained. Each current component flows through impedances to be compared. Preliminary investigations indicate that such an arrangement is able to provide very accurate impedance measurements with errors of parts in 106 or even smaller. Resolutions of parts in 109 were also experimentally achieved. Since the system uses a single ac current source, inherent current instabilities of the source cause negligible effects on differential voltage measurements, what alleviates requirements on the ac source. Digital sampling can easily be implemented with the system for speeded-up and automated impedance comparisons.

摘要: This paper describes ac resistance comparisons among impedance bridges in operation at Inmetro: the four-terminal-pair coaxial bridge and the digital bridge. This work has the objective to better characterize the digital bridge at ac resistance comparisons, especially with standards of different nominal values. The results obtained indicate that the digital bridge is in agreement with the coaxial one within parts in 106.

摘要: This paper describes the progress on the development of the simple calculable bifilar resistors with nominal resistance below 100 W. The resistor have very simple and cheap construction that can be easily replicated. It is based on the ordinary circular cross-section resistance wire with enamel layer. Detailed characterization of the wire was made and thus the expanded uncertainty (k = 2) of the resistance is as low as 34 μW/W at 1 MHz. The expanded uncertainty of the time constant is below 0.11 ns (680 μrad/MHz).

摘要: This paper describes a new four terminal pair digital sampling impedance bridge for frequency range up to 1 MHz. The bridge was primarily designed for a calibration of a phase angle of the current shunts. However, the bridge is capable of comparing any impedance standards up to approximately 100 kW in a full complex plane. The experimental measurements of the known standards showed the bridge deviations is below 50 μW/W and below 500 μrad at 1 MHz.

摘要: This paper describes the experimental application of the AC Quantum Voltmeter, developed at PTB, for impedance ratio measurements at voltages up to 5 V and frequencies up to 1 kHz. A calibrator Fluke 5720A and an Aivon DualDAC2 source is used interchanged as the AC voltage source, and as impedances two self-developed resistors of nominal values of 10 kΩ are used. The impedances are measured in a potentiometric way i.e. the AC Quantum Voltmeter measures the RMS voltages on each resistor in time sequence. Measurement results for different set-ups are given and described.

摘要: This paper describes economic way of bridging the well known LF-RF gap in the impedance metrology for means of calibration of RLC autobalance bridges. A simple calculable resistance standard capable of operation up to at least 100 MHz was developed. It was compared to the RF chip resistors characterized by means of the s-matrix technique. Achieved expanded uncertainty (k = 2) at 100 MHz was 1.4 % which is sufficient for calibration of impedance analyzers. Furthermore, the standard was realized in the two terminal construction so it can be used as a load correction for regular measurements.

摘要: We explore the electrical properties of graphene–silicon dioxide–p–silicon Schottky junction diode using current–voltage characteristics and impedance analysis. Ideality factor, recti?cation ratio, and series resistance are extracted from the experimental data. A linear response of series resistance of graphene/SiO2/p-Si Schottky diode is observed with respect to change in forward bias voltage from 0 to 2 V.

Compact Scalable Modeling of Chipless RFID Tag Based on High-Impedance Surface
摘要: This paper proposes a compact model for chipless radio frequency identification (RFID) tag. This compact scalable model consists of capacitors, inductors, and resistors of which their values are directly described by the physical dimension of the chipless tag. Moreover, based on this compact model, radar cross section of chipless RFID tag is predicted, by analyzing polarizability based on surface current distribution in different modes. To validate the proposed model, a 5-bit chipless RFID tag based on high-impedance surface (HIS) is presented, with good agreement among modeled, simulated, and measured results. A wide range of physical parameters have also been validated to show the scalability. This compact scalable model of chipless RFID tag not only simplifies the tag design, but also provides an insight understanding of the HIS structure.
