    摘要: The design and analysis of self lift N/O luo converter is discussed in this paper. The incremental conductance mppt extracts the maximum power from PV panel and transfers to the load. The PV panel is designed by using equivalent circuit of PV cell. The output obtained from the solar panel contains more ripples. The ripples will produce more fluctuations. By using self lift negative output luo converter the unregulated output will be conveted into regulated voltage and stepped up to the higher voltage. For obtaining simulation results Matlab software is used.

    摘要: This paper presents an improved designed induction motor, used for photovoltaic (PV) array fed water pumping system. The overall system is designed without a mechanical sensor to reduce both cost and complexity with simultaneous assurance of optimum power utilization of a PV array. The proposed system consists of an induction motor operated water pump, controlled by field-oriented control (FOC) with artificial neural network (ANN) current control technique. The MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) as well as DC link voltage, is regulated by three-phase voltage source inverter (VSI). The estimation of motor speed eliminates the use of mechanical sensor and makes the system cheaper and robust. A new robust speed adaptive algorithm is presented, which is less dependent on parameters. A detailed study of various factors affecting the efficiency of the motor, is given to improve the behavior of the induction motor drive (IMD) for water pumping. The designed motor is tested on the developed prototype in the laboratory and its suitability is judged through various results under steady state and dynamic conditions of insolation variations.

    摘要: In this paper, integration of photovoltaic (PV) system and battery storage is considered using Three-level T-Type inverter. To attain the highest efficiency, PV panels are considered to follow MPPT algorithm while batteries are operated based on their state of charge (SOC) condition. To provide distortion-free output current, it is essential considering unbalanced condition produced due to inconsistency of MPPT and SOC. Moreover, proper tradeoff between inverter and grid is realized so that inverter is automatically adapted with demand-power of grid. All the targets are carried out by proper control of Discontinuous PWM. The proposed method is evaluated by simulation study.

  • Optimization of energy from photovoltaic cell using three port converter for home appliances

    摘要: The main objective of this paper is to propose the significant usage of photovoltaic modules in household applications. This paper describes a compact but fully functional design by integrating basic converters to form a simplified single inductor converter structure while keeping minimum number of switches. The resultant converter is fully reconfigurable that all possible power flow combinations among the sources and load are achieved through different switching patterns. Single inductor converter module is used to simplify the structure while reducing the number of switches. This is fully configurable enabling all possible power flow combinations. The experimental behavior of this module from morning till evening is observed and the wave pattern of the subjective proposed results are recorded and verified.

  • Design, simulation, and hardware implementation of novel optimum operating point tracker of PV system using adaptive step size

    摘要: In this paper, a novel maximum power point tracking (MPPT) strategy of photovoltaic system has been proposed and investigated. The suggested method is based on modified variable step-size perturbation and observation P&O strategy, which it can overcome several drawbacks and limitations of previous developed MPPT methods especially oscillations around the MPP, accuracy, and the convergence speed under rapidly changing atmospheric conditions. To demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method, both simulation model and experimental prototype have been developed and tested effectively using photovoltaic system based on Solarex MSX-60 panel and forward converter controlled by dsPIC30F2010 controller. Obtained results demonstrate that the proposed adaptive step-length perturbation and observation P&O strategy can offer many benefits compared to conventional P&O MPPT method and other methods developed previously in terms of low ripple, low overshoot, and low response time. The proposed adaptive step-size MPPT improves drastically the performances in static mode (oscillation reduction ratio around 75.00%) as well as in dynamic mode (convergence time reduction ratio around 91.67%) improving by the way the transferred available power.

    摘要: This paper is a review on 4 phase 8/6 switched reluctance motor (S RM) powered by solar PV array using the buck-boost dc-dc con verter. The water pumping system is operating S RM. The main objective of this paper is to regulate the speed of S RM dri ve to pump the water through the DC link voltage of a mid-point converter. The split capacitor con verter for S RM dri ve called as mid-point converter is electronically commutated is inexpensive, reliable and efficient than conventional DC and AC electrical machines used in this application, because of its simple construction. The losses in mid-point converter can be reduced by using S RM drive at its fundamental frequency and also the efficiency of the proposed system can be increased. The DC-DC buck-boost con verter is working in continuous conduction mode (CCM). The CCM operation decreases the losses of DC-DC converter. The soft starting of 4 phase 8/6 S RM drive is also achieved through proper selection of step-size in incremental conductance (InC) algorithm method of maximum power point tracking (MPPT). The DC-DC buck-boost con verter is the unique converter which allows excellent tracking of PV array maximum MPP rather than of temperature and insolation levels.
