    摘要: In this paper, we are interested in the high-resolution imaging of an unknown area based on only power measurements of a small number of wireless transceivers located on one side of the unknown area. In order to do so, we propose a framework that achieves a polynomial order reduction in the number of antennas required for high-resolution imaging. More specifically, we show that by spacing the antennas at multiples of the wavelength and applying subspace-based analysis, we can image M targets using only 2M +1 transmit/receive antennas (as compared to the state-of-the-art value of M 2 + 1 antennas). We then validate our framework using simulations in both noise-free and noisy environments.

    摘要: We present a fast direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation algorithm for coprime array structures. In many practical applications of radar signals processing, reducing the redundancy inherent in linear arrays is advantageous. Arrays employing a coprime-pair configuration offer an increased number of degrees of freedom and permit the detection of more sources than sensors. Traditionally, this is achieved using conventional subspace-based methods. While these methods, such as MUltiple Signal Classification (MUSIC), are capable of high-resolution, the computational complexity of these algorithms is a significant hindrance to their practical implementation as the number of sensors increases. Furthermore, they must resort to spatial smoothing in order to calculate the covariance matrix. We, on the other hand, propose a fast iterative interpolated beamforming algorithm that has a computational complexity of the same order as the fast Fourier transform (FFT). The proposed approach is capable of delivering high fidelity DOA estimates that outperform the traditional high resolution methods. Simulation results demonstrate the DOA estimation performance of the technique.

  • Robust multifrequency imaging with MUSIC

    摘要: In this paper, we study the MUltiple SIgnal Classification (MUSIC) algorithm often used to image small targets when multiple measurement vectors are available. We show that this algorithm may be used when the imaging problem can be cast as a linear system that admits a special factorization. We discuss several active array imaging configurations where this factorization is exact, as well as other configurations where the factorization only holds approximately and, hence, the results provided by MUSIC deteriorate. We give special attention to the most general setting where an active array with an arbitrary number of transmitters and receivers uses signals of multiple frequencies to image the targets. This setting provides all the possible diversity of information that can be obtained from the illuminations. We give a theorem that shows that MUSIC is robust with respect to additive noise provided that the targets are well separated. The theorem also shows the relevance of using appropriate sets of controlled parameters, such as excitations, to form the images with MUSIC robustly. We present numerical experiments that support our theoretical results.

Ensuring realistic performance conditions, however, constitutes a significant engineering challenge due to the extremely strict requirements in terms of network delay and audio quality, which are needed to maintain a stable tempo, a satisfying synchronicity between performers and, more generally, a high-quality interaction experience. In this paper, we offer a review of the psycho-perceptual studies conducted in the past decade, aimed at identifying latency tolerance thresholds for synchronous real-time musical performance. We also provide an overview of hardware/software enabling technologies for NMP, with a particular emphasis on system architecture paradigms, networking configurations, and applications to real use cases.

    摘要: Music is everywhere in the world, and its applications in commerce are extremely versatile. Generally speaking, in order to create some music for background music, it is necessary to engage sound recordists and instrumental performers. However, the process is very time-consuming and costly. In this paper, a real-time emotion-based music accompaniment system is proposed to solve this issue. For different emotions, a fuzzy logic controller is designed to adjust the tempo of the music, and an adaptive partition evolutionary genetic algorithm is developed to create corresponding melodies. The chord progressions are generated via music theory, and the instrumentation is disposed by the conception of the probability. What is noteworthy is that all the processes can be output by Virtual Studio Technology in real time so that users can listen directly to the composing results from any emotions. From the experimental results, the proposed adaptive partition evolutionary genetic algorithm performs better than other optimal algorithms in such topics.

    摘要: Based on the STM32 single-chip microcomputer (SCM), the relationship between music rhythm and the output color of red-green-blue-light-emitting-diode (RGB-LED) lamp is studied in this paper. Aiming at the problem that music rhythms and colors of light cannot be fully matched, the idea that the colors of RGB-LED lamp are controlled by music rhythms is put forward. Sound collector, microcontroller, power module, bias circuit, and RGB-LED lamp are adopted in the hardware design. In the software, the music data collected by an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) is converted into digital quantities. The color of RGB tricolor is controlled by changing the ratio of pulse width modulation (PWM). With a linear function, we adjust the lighting effect when the rhythm falls and filter out some smaller values, but the improvement is not satisfactory. Therefore, the nonlinear quadratic function instead of the linear function is used to eliminate the flicker when the music rhythm becomes weak. The experimental results show that the proposed improvement can give rise to a much better control effect for the colors of light by the music rhythms.

  • LED (Light Emitting Diode) Light Provides Positive Effects on Growth and Productivity of <i>Pakcoy</i> Mustard ( <i>Brassica Rapa</i> L.)

    摘要: Plant photosynthesis is strongly influenced by light, carbon dioxide, the availability of water and nutrients found in the soil. In this study, LED light combined with gambelan music Gong Kebyar was applied to pakcoy plants to see its effect on growth and productivity. The LED light that was applied is white, red-blue, and red-white-blue LED light, which is given for 20 hours from 06.00 to 02.00. Gamelan music Gong Kebyar is applied for 3 hours, from 06.00 to 12.00. Variables observed included plant height, canopy area, leaf greenery, root length, and plant biomass. The results showed that white LED light had a negative effect, while the red-blue LED, and red-white-blue light had a positive effect on the growth and productivity of Pakcoy mustard. The use of red-blue LED light combined with gamelan music Gong Kebyar gave the highest value on plant height (27,176 cm), canopy area (1457.59 cm2), leaf greenery (160.03), root length (23.6 cm), and plant biomass (5.05 g). It can be concluded that the use of red-blue LED light combined with gamelan music Gong Kebyar increases the growth and productivity of pakcoy mustard.
