  • Understanding relationship between stacking modes and optical properties of organic charge transfer cocrystals involving anthracyl chalcones and TCNB

    摘要: Four charge transfer (CT) cocrystals with different molar ratio were obtained via self-assembly process, involving 3-(9-anthryl)-1-phenyl-2-Propen-1-one (APPO), 3-(9-anthryl)-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2-Propen-1-one (AMPO), 3-(9-anthracenyl)-1-(1-naphthalenyl)- 2-Propen-1-one (ANPO) as electron donors and 1,2,4,5-tetracyanobenzene (TCNB) as electron acceptor. Crystal structure analysis demonstrates that two types of face-to-face patterns (D···A···D···A···D and DAD···DAD) were mainly formed via π···π interactions. X-ray diffraction, vibration spectroscopy, thermal behaviors, solid-state absorption spectroscopy and fluorescence properties were employed to assess the relations between their structures and performance. Remarkably, the fluorescent characteristics of the cocrystals showed significant increase relative to pristine donors, which was induced by the charge-transfer interactions between donors and acceptor molecules. These results evidently contribute to better cognizance of relationship between stacking modes and optical properties in CT cocrystals.

  • Surface triads with optical properties

    摘要: A geometric model of formation of surfaces comprising an interconnected triple of emitter, reflector and receiver is presented in the paper. The model is based on cyclographic mapping of a spatial curve to the plane. In such map any given point (x, y, z) of the curve corresponds to a cycle with center (x, y) and radius equal to z applicate. The entire curve corresponds to a directed envelope of cycles consisting, in the general case, of two branches. It is shown that the triad of curves consisting of two branches of the envelope and the orthogonal projection of the original curve within the plane (xy) corresponds to a triad of developable surfaces. The triad of curves in the plane (xy) and the original curve together form a triad of ruled surfaces. Both triads have an optical property. Any ray of light emerging from the point of the emitter surface along the normal to it and falling on the surface of the reflector afterwards is directed along the normal vector to the surface of the receiver. The direct and inverse problems of formation of the triad of surfaces are solved. In the first case, a one-parameter set of triads of surfaces is defined from a given spatial curve. In the second case, a single triad of surfaces is defined from a pair of curves "emitter-receiver" defined on the plane (xy). Numerical examples of solutions of the direct and inverse problems are considered and the corresponding visualizations are given. The results of the work can be used in the design of reflector antennas in radar systems and systems for converting solar energy into electric and thermal energy.

  • Chemical Bath Deposition of Undoped and Bi-doped n-Cu2Se Films and their Optoelectrical Properties

    摘要: Introduction: The effluence of Bi3+ doping on the microstructure and property of the undoped and Bi3+-doped Cu2Se films deposited by chemical bath deposition were studied. Methods: The films showed average UV-visible transmittances of ~73.29-84.10 % that increased with increasing Bi3+ content. The optical bandgaps calculated from optical spectra increased with increasing Bi3+ content. Strong bandgap emission at ~629 nm was also observed. Moreover, the films had actual Se/Cu<2 and n-type conductive. Result: The sheet resistance of ~4.13-96.44×10-3 Ω·cm first decreased and then increased with the increase in Bi content. Conclusion: Various optical constants of the films were estimated with the UV-visible light spectra.

  • Excitonic effects on layer- and strain-dependent optoelectronic properties of PbI2

    摘要: Exciton states have obvious effects on optical properties of two-dimensional (2D) materials. Here, we investigate excitonic effects on electronic and optical properties of PbI2 by using GW + Bethe-Salpeter equation method, considering the layer number and strain effect. These studies show that exciton states obviously modify and dominate the optical absorption of 2D PbI2 nanosheets. Also, with the increasing number of layers, the intensity of main absorption peak increases and the exciton binding energy decreases. Meanwhile, the tensile strain can induce the threshold energy of optical spectra shift down the low energy, and exciton binding energy has a maximum at the strain of 3%. Therefore, our results indicate that the 2D PbI2 nanomaterials have excellent ultraviolet absorption and corresponding potential for the application of optoelectronic devices.

  • Preparation and Optical Property of Hierarchical Structured Porous ZnO Microplates

    摘要: Hierarchical structured porous ZnO microplates have been prepared by thermal decomposition of Zn5(CO3)2(OH)6 precursor. The products are characterized by X-ray diffraction, field-emission scanning electron microscopy, high resolution transmission electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, UV-visible absorption spectrum and photoluminescence spectra. Each ZnO microplate is made up of nanoparticle-based nanowires with diameters of 40-80 nm and lengths of 2-3 μm and the diameter of constituent nanoparticles ranges from 10 to 20 nm. Due to their porous hierarchical microstructures, the prepared ZnO products exhibit excellent optical properties.

  • The effect of TiO <sub/>2</sub> nanopigment on the optical properties of polyester fabric in UV–VIS–NIR regions

    摘要: The particle size parameter is a key factor that affects radiative properties of nano-pigments, and consequently, pigments of the same type but different sizes represent different spectral performance. Therefore, current study dealt with a systematic experimental investigation on the effect of TiO2 pigmented coatings on spectral reflectance and color performance of white and colored polyester fabrics in UV, VIS, and NIR region of electromagnetic spectrum, with a special emphasis on VIS region. In order to accomplish this target, polyester fabrics were coated with TiO2 nanopigment with various concentrations and different diameters, and their reflectance spectra were measured using spectrophotometric method. Two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was utilized to investigate the significance of the effect of TiO2 nanopigment on the color performance of coated fabrics. According to experimental observations, an organized color shift appears in color coordinate of fabrics coated with TiO2 nanopigment of various sizes. Moreover, although TiO2 nanopigment with 35 nm diameter has the most significant impact on short wavelength region (UV region), the effect of pigment with 250 nm diameter is more noticeable on NIR region as long wavelength region.

  • Red-emission properties and crystallization behavior in Eu2O3-TeO2 glasses

    摘要: Transparent glass of xEu2O3-(100-x)TeO2 binary system is obtained by using the melt-quenching method and especially studied for x = 5 in xEu2O3-(100-x)TeO2 composition. Optical properties such as transmission, excitation, and emission spectra of Eu2O3-TeO2 glass-ceramics are studied and carefully compared for the samples heated at di?erent temperatures. The one step heat-treatment a?ects the crystallinities as well as phase formation and yields cubic [Eu2Te6O15], orthorhombic [TeO2], and tetragonal [TeO2] phases depending on the heat treating temperature. Glass-ceramics of Eu3+-doped tetragonal [TeO2] shows stronger emission intensity at wavelength of 613 nm with an excitation wavelength of 394 nm compared with that from cubic [Eu2Te6O15] or Eu3+-doped orthorhombic [TeO2]. Enhancement of emission intensity in Eu3+-doped tetragonal [TeO2] is related to the local environment of Eu3+ ions substituted in tetragonal TeO2 lattice.
