    摘要: A new substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) based leaky wave antenna (LWA) is presented in this paper for backward endfire (-900) radiation. Measured gain at backward endfire is 12.1 dBi. To verify the simulated results, a prototype is fabricated. The proposed antenna is well suited for applications including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), modern RADAR systems, directional communication systems, modern missiles and self-driving cars etc.

    摘要: This paper presents a substrate integrated waveguide Butler matrix with a modi?ed hybrid coupler, operating from 28 to 32 GHz. The modi?ed hybrid coupler is realized by using 90? hybrid coupler followed by a ?45? compensating phase shifter. Thus, 45?/135? output phase differences can be obtained using this type of coupler. Compared with the equal-length unequal-width phase shifter, the compensating phase shifter exhibits better phase characteristics, with only 3? phase error over 28–32 GHz. Because the phase of compensating phase shifter is not realized by taking the phase introduced by the crossover as a reference, it gives great ?exibility to the design of compensating phase shifter. Adopting the modi?ed hybrid coupler, the designed Butler matrix features the output phases with peak to peak error of 13? and wideband performance from 28 to 32 GHz. The slot array fed by the Butler matrix can radiate four slanted beams with acceptable measured gains, in the range of 9.7~12 dBi for port 1 excitation and 8.4~11.1 dBi for port 2 excitation. The radiated beams can reach a wide azimuthal coverage between ±61?.

  • Circularly Polarized SIW DRA Fed by Ridge Gap Waveguide for 60??GHz Communications

    摘要: A compact planar dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is designed based on the sub-strate integrated waveguide (SIW) technology for 60? GHz communications. The pro-posed? antenna is constructed from a multilayered dielectric substrate separated by metallic sheets. A dog-bone shaped DRA is formed by perforating the upper dielectric sub-strate?with air holes surrounding the dog-bone structure. The DRA?is surrounded by metal-lic vies connecting two metal sheets above and below the substrate containing the?DRA. The DRA is fed through a slot coupled microstrip?transmission line?printed below the slot. The ridge-gap waveguide technology?(RGW) is used in the feeding layer to suppress the surface wave?surrounding the microstrip transmission line and improve the peak gain. The RGW?unit-cell structure has stop-band of 46–95?GHz. The SIW DRA introduces imped-ance bandwidth from 59.4 to 60.4?GHz (1.67% referenced to 60 GHz)?with peak gain of 6.78 dBi. The circular polarization (CP) is achieved by the rotation of the dog-bone shaped DRA by 45°?with respect to the feeding slot. It produces left-hand CP with a bandwidth of 0.22?GHz?(0.36%). A 2 × 1 SIW-DRA elements are designed with sequential rotation and phases for CP bandwidth enhancement. The peak gain increases to 9.1?dBi, and a broad-band AR of 4.8?GHz (8%) is achieved. 2 × 2 SIW-DRA elements with 90° orientation rota-tion angle and phases of 0, 90°, 180°, and 270° are designed. An improvement in the peak gain of 11?dBi is produced with wide AR bandwidth of 10.8?GHz?(18% from 54.2 GHz to 65?GHz) for 60?GHz communications.

    摘要: In this paper, an integrated substrate gap waveguide (ISGW) bandpass filter is proposed. The filter consists of three layers of dielectric substrates, base layer, middle layer and top layer. The base layer is used to obtain substrate an integrated waveguide (SIW) filter, the middle layer is a substrate gap layer which is used for a gap layer between the top and base layer, and the top layer is used to obtain perfect magnetic conductor (PMC) layer. An ISGW filter is designed to validate the concept. The filter has a fractional bandwidth of 32.2% and two transmission zeros at 14 and 22.8 GHz, and wide passband, wide stopband and high selectivity of the passband are achieved.

  • DUAL-BAND CIRCULAR POLARIZED SLOT ARRAY ANTENNA IN SUBSTRATE INTEGRATED WAVEGUIDE USING TWO PROPAGATION MODES FOR COMMUNICATION SATELLITES TRANSCEIVERS

    摘要: A novel dual-band circularly-polarized slot array antenna aimed at LEO satellites communications where up-link and down-link operate at di?erent frequencies is introduced. By using higher order modes, the slots can be placed at points where current distributions are null for the fundamental mode. According to this idea, at the receiver frequency band the slots are placed to be excited by mode T E10 currents distribution, and at the transmitting band slots are forced to radiate according to mode T E20 currents distribution. A matching load termination is used to generate the required travelling wave to obtain the circular polarization, introducing low dissipation losses. Additionally, in this investigation an antenna feeder is also designed. Both the feeder and the slot antenna array are designed using Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW). The use of SIW makes easier the design of the transitions from the array to the microstrip input lines and the grounded-coplanar termination as well, relaxing fabrication constraints and tolerance.

  • Blue laser-induced photochemical synthesis of CuAg nanoalloys on h-BN supports with enhanced SERS activity for trace-detection of residual pesticides on tomatoes

    摘要: The copper (Cu)-based nanoalloys loaded on graphene-like nanoplates have a great promise for boosting surface-enhanced Raman scattering spectroscopy (SERS), due to low-cost Cu species in comparison with noble metals and unique additional Raman enhancement originated from two-dimensional (2D) supports. Herein, we report an ingenious strategy to load highly dense and monodisperse CuAg nanoalloys (NAs) on hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) by blue laser (405 nm) -induced photochemical reaction. Without the aid of any complex auxiliary reagents, the co-reduction of Cu and Ag ions is driven by photon-excited electron on semiconductor h-BN, resulting in the coalescence and overgrowth of “clean” CuAg NAs. As expected, the proposed h-BN/CuAg NAs provide ultrahigh SERS activity with the limit of detections (LODs) of crystal violet (CV) at femtomole level (~10?16 M), thiram and tricyclazole at pico-molar (10?12 M) and nanomolar levels (10?9 M), respectively. Most importantly, the as-prepared h-BN/CuAg NAs were also directly combined with polyethylene terephthalate (PET) by simple dripping and drying processes to form uniform flexible substrates. The low-cost Cu-based flexible substrates can be used to realize the ultrasensitive SERS detection of residual tricyclazole on tomato surfaces, thus facilitating the widespread precise assessment of pesticide residues in various practical applications.

  • Field Distributions Analyzed of Substrate Integrate Waveguide (SIW)

    摘要: In this paper, the relationship of full-mode substrate integrated waveguide (SIW), half-mode substrate integrated waveguide (HMSIW), quarter-mode substrate integrated waveguide (QMSIW) and eighth-mode substrate integrated waveguide (EMSIW) has been presented. Firstly, the characteristics of full-mode SIW were derived according to its field distribution and the equivalent relationship between the full-mode SIW and rectangular waveguide. And the parameters of the remaining three SIWs are obtained with the same method of the full-mode SIW. The analysis of these SIWs can provide a design guideline of microwave devices in application, especially in small size system.

  • Prominent Heat Dissipation in Perovskite Light-Emitting Diodes with Reduced Efficiency Droop for Silicon-Based Display

    摘要: Solution-processed perovskite light-emitting diodes (LEDs) possess outstanding optoelectronic properties for potential solid-state display applications. However, poor device stability results in significant efficiency droop partly being ascribed to Joule heating when LEDs are operated at high current densities. Herein, we used monocrystal silicon (c-Si) as substrate and charge injection layer to alleviate the thermal affection in perovskite LED (PeLED). By incorporating silicon oxide (SiOx) and poly[(9,9-dioctylfluorenyl-2,7-diyl)-alt-(4,4’-(N-(4-butylphenyl) (TFB) layer to tune the charge injection balance in c-Si-based device, a PeLED achieves an external quantum efficiency of 2.12% with a current efficiency of 6.06 cd A-1. Benefiting from excellent heat dissipation of c-Si, the PeLEDs display reduced efficiency droop and extended operational lifetime. Furthermore, both electroluminescent (EL) dynamic information display and static pattern displays of c-Si-based PeLED have been successfully demonstrated. These results reveal the feasibility of potential practical c-Si-based PeLEDs with reduced efficiency droop for EL display applications.

  • Effects of substrate-controlled-orientation on the electrical performance of sputtered BaTiO <sub/>3</sub> thin films

    摘要: In this work, the relationships between bottom electrode/substrate configuration, crystalline microstructure, and electrical performances of BaTiO3 (BTO) thin films were investigated. The films were fabricated via RF magnetron sputtering on (Sr0.5La0.5)CoO3 (LSCO) buffered (110)-, (111)-SrTiO3 (STO) and SrRuO3 (SRO) buffered (110)-, (111)-MgO (MGO) substrates. The x-ray diffractometer results show that the LSCO/STO substrate resulted in films with high-quality epitaxial orientation, whereas the SRO/MGO substrate resulted in films having a strong (110) texture. The electrode/substrate configurations were designed to control the crystalline microstructure, which in turn affects the electrical performances of the films. The electrical performances were studied by employing a metal/ferroelectric/metal model. The J-V characteristics show obvious asymmetry with bias, which is mainly due to the varying transport state of oxygen vacancies. BTO films grown on LSCO/STO substrates exhibit large dielectric frequency dispersion, while those grown on SRO/MGO substrates display a nearly frequency independent response. All electrical parameters of these films were strongly affected by the polarization-tilting angle and the preferred orientation degree. Epitaxial and textured (110)-oriented films show higher permittivity but lower loss tangent, free-carrier concentration, built-in voltage, and leakage current density as compared to the epitaxial (111)-oriented film.

  • Growth of BaSi <sub/>2</sub> film on Ge(100) by vacuum evaporation and its photoresponse properties

    摘要: We have successfully grown a polycrystalline orthorhombic BaSi2 film on a Ge(100) substrate by an evaporation method. Deposition of an amorphous Si (a-Si) film on the Ge substrate prior to BaSi2 evaporation plays a critical role in obtaining a high-quality BaSi2 film. By controlling substrate temperature and the thickness of the a-Si film, a crack-free and single-phase polycrystalline orthorhombic BaSi2 film with a long carrier lifetime of 1.5 μs was obtained on Ge substrates. The photoresponse property of the ITO/BaSi2/Ge/Al structure was clearly observed, and photoresponsivity was found to increase with increasing substrate temperature during deposition of a-Si. Furthermore, the BaSi2 film grown on Ge showed a higher photoresponsivity than that grown on Si, indicating the potential application of evaporated BaSi2 on Ge to thin-film solar cells.
