摘要: This paper tackles the problem of minimum-energy cooperative transmission in wireless networks under the assumption of limited channel state information at the transmitters. It is assumed that only the average statistics of the fading channels are known to the transmitters. The objective here is to jointly optimize the set of relays and the transmission powers for both the broadcasting and cooperative transmission phases while satisfying probabilistic signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) constraints at the relays and at the destination node. Increasing the broadcasting power expands the set of potential relays and decreases the required power for cooperative transmission. Hence, there is a compromise in the selection of the power values, which is addressed in this work using a chance-constrained optimization framework. A closed-form approximate solution is also presented, which provides a low-complexity transmission scheme for energy-harvesting wireless networks. Simulations are presented to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed approach and the approximate solution.

摘要: This letter studies the secure transmission protocol design for two-way cooperative systems, where two terminal users communicate via an untrusted relay. The relay acts as both a helper and a potential eavesdropper, from which the users’ messages need to be kept secret. A constellation-rotation aided approach is proposed to prevent the relay from decoding these messages. By rotating the signal constellation with a proper angle, the complex-valued symbol can be fully represented by its real component. Then, either user utilizes only one dimension of the signal to deliver its information, with the other dimension carrying the arti?cial noise (AN). In this manner, the received signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) at the relay is degraded due to the injection of AN, thereby increasing the dif?culty of eavesdropping. Moreover, the desired signal and the AN lie in different directions at the terminal users, which makes the signal detection free-of-interference. The approximate expression for the upper bound of the users’ symbol error rate (SER) is derived based on which a criterion is developed to choose the rotation angle that can optimize the system SER performance. Simulation results demonstrate the superiority of our scheme compared to the competing candidates.

摘要: Energy-ef?cient resource allocation is investigated for multi-pair massive MIMO amplify-and-forward relay systems, where a dedicated relay assists pairwise information exchange among many pieces of single-antenna user equipment (UE). The system energy ef?ciency (EE) is theoretically analyzed by employing large system analysis and random matrix theory. This analytical result provides excellent approximation for the system with a moderate number of antennas, and it also enables several ef?cient algorithms, working with a different knowledge of channel state information (CSI), to maximize the system EE by scheduling the optimal numbers of relay antennas and UE pairs as well as the corresponding relay transmission power. In contrast to the conventional resource allocation schemes, the proposed algorithms avoid complicated matrix calculations and the instantaneous CSI of small-scale fading; therefore, they are computationally ef?cient with low CSI overhead. The proposed optimization framework sheds light on the optimized system con?gurations, and it also offers an ef?cient way to achieve EE-oriented resource allocation for the multi-pair massive MIMO relay systems.

Selective Activation of Benzyl Alcohol Coupled with Photoelectrochemical Water Oxidation via a Radical Relay Strategy
摘要: Selective oxidation to produce target chemicals usually need activation of O2 at high temperature and/or pressure, which have largely restricted its practical operation and application. Here, we put forward a radical-relay strategy coupling photoelectrochemical (PEC) water oxidation towards efficiently selective conversion of benzyl alcohol (BA) to benzaldehyde (BAD). An illuminated BiVO4 (BVO) photoanode covered with an ultrathin (~3 nm) hydrothermally synthesized layered double hydroxide (U-LDH) catalyst and graphene (G) exhibited >99% selectivity to BAD (1.2 V vs. RHE). Mechanistic studies and DFT calculation verified that the hydroxyl radicals (?OH) generated from the oxidation of water are bound to the surface of U-LDH through hydrogen-bonding interactions and the energy is lowered. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy showed that BA is adsorbed to the U-LDH catalyst, but BAD is not. Thus, the selectivity is not only favored by the controlled oxidation capacity of ?OH radicals, but the desorption of the desired product from the catalyst before further oxidation occurs. This work introduces an alternative PEC way to achieve mild and selective oxidation of BA derivatives based on ternary G@U-LDH@BVO catalysts.

This model is basically applicable in rural or islanded load system. Here we also discussing the operation of autonomous or grid connected microgrid model by using PV cell with help of Boost converter. PV model is completed by using MATLAB SIMULINK and different current Voltage and power levels. The MATLAB SIMULINK is done in island mode as well as grid-connected mode at the both end, grid end and load end. This study aims to understand the change of fault value Compared to healthy surgery that may serve as a cornerstone Selection of protection strategies that may work effectively both operating modes.

摘要: Cooperative communication suffers from multiplexing loss and low spectral efficiency due to the half duplex constraint of relays. To improve the multiplexing gain, successive relaying, which allows concurrent transmission of the source and relays, has been proposed. However, the severe inter-relay interference becomes a key challenge. In this paper, we propose a channel aware successive relaying protocol, also referred to as CAO-SIR, which is capable of thoroughly mitigating inter-relay interference by carefully adapting relays’ transmission order and rate. In particular, a relay having a poorer link to the source is scheduled first to forward a message, the data rate of which is adapted to the link quality of the source-relay and relay-destination channels. By this means, each relay may decode the messages intended for the preceding relays, and then cancel these relays’ interference in a low complexity which is equal to that of Decision Feedback Equalizer (DFE). To further optimize and analyze CAO-SIR, we present its equivalent parallel relay channel model, based upon which the adaptive relay selection and power allocation schemes are proposed. By employing M half duplex relays, CAO-SIR is capable of achieving an diversity-multiplexing tradeoff (DMT) given by 1 ? M +2 and r denote the diversity and multiplexing gains, respectively. Its DMT asymptotically approaches the DMT upper bound achieved by (M + 1) × 1 MISO systems or M full duplex relays, when M is large.

A New High-Frequency Characterization for Coupled Transmission Lines Fabricated on Lossy Organic Substrates
摘要: In the current study of cognitive relay networks, most related works focus on the effect of interference from secondary users (SUs) to primary receivers (PRs), while neglecting the links from primary transmitters (PTs) to SUs. In this paper, the interference both from SUs to PRs and from PTs to SUs is considered in the analysis of cognitive two-way relay networks with opportunistic relay selection. The exact closed-form expression for the outage probability of the secondary system is derived over Rayleigh fading channels, which is verified through various Monte Carlo simulations. Meanwhile, an asymptotic expression and diversity order are also derived to reveal additional insights into the effect of the mutual interference between the primary and secondary systems on the diversity. Above all, based on the analysis, the effects of the positions of the PT, the PR, and secondary relays on the outage performance of the secondary system are studied. Our results reveal that network placement planning is desperately necessary to achieve a better outage performance. It is shown that the position of relays has a strong impact on the performance, particularly when the number of relays is large. However, when the relative position between the primary system and secondary systems is fixed, the positions of the PT have a very slight impact on the outage performance, which can be neglected. Hence, in practical deployment, when performing cognitive two-way relaying with opportunistic relay selection, proper network placement planning should be carefully addressed.

摘要: Cooperative communication has used to be a hot topic and it has been studied extensively in the past 10 years, but in recent years, it becomes less likely to find substantial innovation in this field as before. In this paper, we propose a new hybrid decode-forward and amplify-forward with non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) (HDAF-NOMA) transmission scheme for a cellular system with multiple relays. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first work that attempts to integrate decode-forward (DF), amplify-forward, and NOMA into one strategy design to improve system performance. To verify the performance advantages, the proposed HDAF-NOMA scheme is compared with the other four traditional schemes in terms of channel capacity and average system throughput, and the optimal number of selected DF relays is also determined for the HDAF-NOMA scheme. Simulation results show that compared with the traditional schemes, the proposed HDAF-NOMA scheme can achieve larger sum channel capacity for the transmission of x1 and x2, and it can also achieve larger average system throughput at high SNR region.
