Study on Process of CoNiCrAlY Bonding Layer Under Laser Shock
摘要: In this study, atmospheric plasma spraying was used for the preparation of a CoNiCrAlY bonding layer on a nickel (Ni)-based superalloy with different laser shock times designed for surface modi?cation. In addition, electron-beam physical vapor deposition was used to deposit a ceramic layer to form a new modi?ed coating. When comparing high-temperature oxidation resistance with mechanical properties for both traditional coatings and modi?ed coatings as well as the effects of different laser shock times on them, the results showed that the cross-section hardness of the coating under two laser shocks reaches the peak value of 297 HV, which is 11% higher than that of ordinary coating. The growth rate of the thermal growth oxide at the interface of the modi?ed coatings is signi?cantly lower than that of the ordinary coating under different oxidation times at 1000°C. Furthermore, the lowest rate, 2·43 × 10?4 mm/h, occurs after being laser-shocked twice. With the increase in oxidation time, the residual compressive stress generated during the oxidation increases ?rst and then decreases. Moreover, the stress value of the modi?ed coating after being laser-shocked twice is the smallest. To conclude, this research is of signi?cance for application in surface modi?cation for aviation.

A resist-less patterning method of Al thin film on polycarbonate by F2 laser irradiation
摘要: In recent years, polycarbonate is gathering interests as light and strong material for smart windows. In this paper, a resist-less patterning method of Al thin ?lm on silicone hard-coated polycarbonate by 157 nm F2 laser irradiation is reported. A photomask placed on Al thin ?lm on polycarbonate and irradiated with F2 laser and the non-irradiated area was removed by KOH aq. The mechanism of the method was examined by XPS measurement and it represents that the surface of Al thin ?lm is modi?ed to Al2O3 by F2 laser irradiation and the Al2O3 surface prevents the chemical etching. The ATR-FTIR and XPS measurements of polycarbonate surface under Al thin ?lm imply that the silicone hard coat layer of polycarbonate was oxidized by F2 laser irradiation even under Al thin ?lm and Al-O-Si bonds might be formed between Al and silicone hard coat interface. The formation of Al2O3 at the surface of Al thin ?lm and Al-O-Si bonds at Al/silicone hard coat interface are expected to give abrasion resistance and strong adhesion for Al thin ?lm on silicone hard-coated polycarbonate. This patterned Al ?lm fabrication method contributes to the manufacturing of electrodes for smart polycarbonate windows.

Photochromic Materials by Postpolymerisation Surface Modification
摘要: Photochromic materials are available by a postpolymerization surface modi?cation of diverse polymers in a multistep sequential process mediated, ?rst, by carbene insertion chemistry, second, by diazonium coupling with a tethered precursor, and ?nally by coupling to a spiropyran. This three-step sequence is e?cient, and surface loading densities of 1013 molecules cm?2 are typically achievable, leading to materials with observable photochromic and wettability behavior, which operate over multiple cycles without signi?cant photobleaching or loss of e?cacy. Materials suitable for application in this process include both reactive, but also lower surface energy polymers. Although the process is particularly e?cient for high surface area materials, surface modi?cation onto lower surface area substrates, while being intrinsically less e?cient, is nonetheless su?ciently e?ective that changes in macroscopic photochromic properties are readily observable.
