    摘要: We proposed a new compensation circuit to solve the nonuniformity of TFT characteristics and degeneration of OLED device. The compensation circuit includes sense processing cell and emission current sampled circuit. The channel multiplexing for the digital sense processing cell is used. The area of compensation circuit is reduced effectively.

  • Evaluation of Additive Manufacturing Techniques Applied to a Waveguide Mode Transducer

    摘要: An algorithm is proposed for the detection and joint estimation of target parameters for a radar with a two-element rotating antenna. Rotation of the antenna introduces unwanted effects, which may cause inaccuracy in the parameter estimation. Target detection is performed by adding the processed data from two sensors. Joint estimation of range, Doppler, and direction of arrival (DOA) is carried while compensating the effects of antenna rotation. The detection performance is analyzed in terms of the receiver operating characteristics. Analytical expressions of Cramer–Rao Bound for Doppler, the range and DOA are derived. Computational complexity is also discussed. A simulation demonstrates and veri?es the proposed algorithm and its analyses.

    摘要: A combined control strategy of photovoltaic grid-connection, reactive power compensation and energy storage was proposed for a novel energy storage quasi-z source inverter. According to the different state of the battery, the system applies different control schemes. Based on the control strategy of the battery under normal conditions, this paper analyzes and discusses the unit power factor grid-connected, while ensuring the maximum utilization of photovoltaic cell energy efficiency and enhancing the stability of grid-connected power, and compensates the load with reactive power. Finally, simulation and experiment verify the effectiveness and correctness of the proposed strategy.

    摘要: Third generation fiber-to-the-x (FTTx) will introduce wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) technology to increase data rates up to 40 Gbit/s, as well as coexist with current communication systems. WDM passive optical network (WDM-PON) based fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) system architecture together with the Next-generation passive optical network (NG-PON) can provide solution related to nowadays problems with transmission capacity. It is expected that NG-PON systems will become more cost-efficient at high per user data rates, providing different transmission speeds for end users, based on pay-as-you-grow approach. In this paper, our introduced system model is used to obtain WDM-PON system effectiveness for different data rates of up to 32 Gbit/s per downstream transmission channel. We created combined simulative-experimental WDM-PON transmission system model in environment of RSoft OptSim simulation software to compare the performance of non-return-to-zero (NRZ) on-off-keying (OOK) modulated PON transmission system versus transmission bitrate and distance. Results showed that proposed transmission system is capable to provide data transmission of up to 32 Gbit/s per channel with BER < 10?3, if additional forward error correction (FEC) is used. Additionally, to increase the reach of investigated system, fiber Bragg grating-based dispersion compensation module (FBG-DCM) is implemented, therefore enabling full pre-compensation of chromatic dispersion.

  • 29.4: A laser current control algorithm to avoid color distortion in laser projection displays

    摘要: Laser display technology has gradually become an important solution for large screen display. As a mature lighting technology in recent decades, phosphor has been widely used in the field of lighting and display. As a solid-state light source, it has the advantages of low power consumption, environmental protection, rich color and dynamic modulation. The luminescent efficiency of phosphors varies with temperature, which results in the non-linearity of phosphor emission when the light source is dynamically modulated and the color temperature drift of the display image. In this paper, a control model of color temperature of laser TV display changing with laser current and temperature is established. The color temperature of laser TV is corrected by using current compensation control algorithm. The problem of color temperature drift caused by the change of phosphor conversion efficiency with temperature is solved. The color temperature deviation is 1118 K in the brightness range of the light source before compensation. By compensating and controlling the laser current, the ratio of blue light and phosphor is constant when the brightness changes, thus ensuring the color temperature constant when the brightness of the laser light source changes. The color temperature deviation is 50K in the brightness range. By analyzing the different brightness of the display image, the stability of the color temperature is improved.

  • Polymer/silica hybrid waveguide Y-branch power splitter with loss compensation based on NaYF <sub/>4</sub> :Er <sup>3+</sup> , Yb <sup>3+</sup> nanocrystals

    摘要: A polymer waveguide Y-branch power splitter with loss compensation is proposed based on NaYF4:Er3+, Yb3+ nanocrystals prepared by a high temperature thermal decomposition method. The Y-branch power splitter is designed as a structure of embedded waveguide, and its core material is nanocrystals-doped SU-8. The insertion loss of the device is ~ 15 dB. For an input signal power of 0.05 mW and a pump power of 267.7 mW, the two branches with 5.81-dB and 5.41-dB loss compensations at 1530 nm are achieved respectively. A polymer waveguide Y-branch power splitter with loss compensation has an important research signi?cance.

  • SPR based optical fiber refractive index sensor using silver nanowire assisted CSMFC

    摘要: In this letter, we propose a compensation method for organic light-emitting diode (OLED) degradation occurring in a digital driving scheme for active-matrix OLED displays. The proposed method, in which we are the first to propose, employs the modified stretched exponential decay (SED) model to characterize the OLED degradation and compensates for the associated luminance decrease; the lifetime of an OLED panel can thereby be extended. The OLED panel is fabricated using low-temperature poly-Si thin-film transistors, and measured to verify the modified SED model and the proposed compensation method. The measurement results show that the luminance degradation with and without the proposed method is 0.3% and 6%, 4% and 17.8%, and 7.4% and 30.4%, for red, green, and blue OLEDs, respectively. This measurement is taken after 40 h of operation under a 350 cd/m2 initial luminance. Accordingly, the proposed compensation method extends the lifetime of the OLED panel up to 72.5, 15.5, and 20.75 times longer in red, green, and blue OLEDs, respectively, compared with the conventional method.

    摘要: In this paper, a self-interference cancellation scheme is designed by the oblique projection polarization ?lter (OPPF) in an in-band full-duplex (IBFD) system. We apply two different polarization states (PSs) for the transmitter and receiver by the virtual polarization (VP) technique, which can be generated by orthogonal dual-polarization antennas (ODPAs). The local receiver implements the OPPF to cancel the local transmitter’s strong co-frequency interference. In addition, depolarization is considered, and a pre-compensation method is designed to mitigate the in?uence of the depolarization. Finally, simulation results by the performance of OPPF are given to prove the effectiveness of the proposed methods and show the key parameters.

    摘要: A new accurate voltage-programmed pixel circuit for active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) displays is presented. Composed of three TFTs and one storage capacitor, the proposed pixel circuit is implemented both in a-Si and a-IGZO TFT technologies for the same pixel size for fair comparison. The simulation result for the a-Si-based design shows that, during a programming time of 90 s, the pixel circuit was able to compensate for a 3 V threshold voltage ( ) shift of the drive TFT with almost no error. In contrast, the a-IGZO-based pixel circuit, has a larger current error (of around 8%), despite its proven three-fold higher speed.
