The effects of growth TiO 2 nanotubes on forged Ti 6 Al 4 V alloy and selectivelaser sintered Ti 6 Al 4 V alloy surfaces for environment and medical applications
摘要: The paper describes the effect of growth TiO2 nanotubes on titanium surfaces by anodic oxidation for environmental and medical applications. The importance of the metallurgical state of TiAl6V alloy on the growing of TiO2 nanotubes by anodization will be highlighted. Starting from the possibility of obtaining the TiO2 nanotubes, the paper presents results on TiO2 nanotubes grown by electrochemical anodization method, using a solution containing HF 0,4% and having as electrodes, graphite as cathode and titanium alloy specimens obtained by two technologies: by cold plastic deformation as well as by additive manufacturing process SLS, as anode. So, the nanotubes were produced by anodization and analysed by scanning electron microscopy. The aim of this paper is to compare the electrochemical formation of TiO2 on the surface of both specimens knowing that the titanium alloys and its oxides are used in many biomedical and environmental applications, thus providing the importance of nanotubes and the fact that their properties open doors in these fields.

Laser-induced graphene and carbon nanotubes as conductive carbon-based materials in environmental technology
摘要: Nanotechnology and nanomaterials have attracted interest due to their potential in mitigating contemporary environmental challenges, such as the stressors imposed by increased industrial and agricultural activities, and the deterioration of air, soil and water quality. In particular, advanced technologies that harness carbon-based nanomaterials are poised to emerge as tools that provide new solutions for the global water crises. These tools include, electrically conductive membrane processes, which uniquely combine a separation process with a functional surface. In this respect, laser-induced graphene (LIG) and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are electrically conductive carbon nanomaterials that hold great utility in a multitude of environmental applications, including the development of fouling-resistant systems for desalination and water treatment, enhanced separation methods, and innovative pollutant sensing and electrocatalytic platforms. Consequently, this review article describes and compares some important recent advances in LIG- and CNT-based electroactive surfaces. The discussion of LIG as an emerging carbon material set in context with CNTs is intended to shed light on future directions and development possibilities to meet the growing global challenges in terms of water treatment applications of both materials as well as other electrically conductive carbon-based nanomaterials exhibiting exceptional performance and versatility.

Gallium Oxide || Synthesis, optical characterization, and environmental applications of β-Ga2O3 nanowires
摘要: In this chapter, we present the synthesis, optical characterization, and environmental applications of the β-Ga2O3 nanowires. The gap-state and near-band-edge transitions of β-Ga2O3 nanowires were identified and studied. The defects states play an important role in their optical emission and photocatalytic property. Owing to its various interesting properties such as wide bandgap, chemical and thermal stability, robust defect states, large surface to volume ratios, β-Ga2O3 nanowires are very promising in potential applications in optoelectronic, environmental applications, and fundamental research in the future.
