  • Helical optical fiber sensing configuration for hyper-elastic soft surgical manipulators

    摘要: Soft surgical manipulator is a research hotspot, but the sensing problem of hyper-elastic deformation needs to be solved urgently. In order to solve this problem, a helical optical fiber sensing method is proposed for the manipulator of hyper-elastic soft material. A FBG(Fiber Bragg Grating) sensor is embedded in a helical shape in the soft manipulator. In theory, the helical fiber sensing model is established. The reflectance spectra of the FBG sensor was measured when the soft manipulator was compressed or bent. The relationship between the center wavelength offset and the compression amount, the center wavelength offset and the bending angle, respectively, was analyzed. The results show that the compression of the soft manipulator is approximately liner to the shift of the center wavelength of the FBG in the range of 0–18 mm, and the bending angle of the soft manipulator is non-linear to the shift of the center wavelength of the FBG sensor. The helical fiber grating sensor has good consistency in many measurement experiments, and the fluctuation range of the deviation index is -35%-25%. The main idea of the thesis is feasible and provide a method of the posture sensing of the soft surgery manipulator.

  • Unsaturation‐dependent Nanostructures Self‐assembled from Oligopeptide Amphiphile Capable of Generating Singlet Oxygen

    摘要: We report here on three oligopeptide amphiphiles (OPA1-3) with different unsaturated double bonds, which self-assemble into shape-specific nanostructures. It was found that OPA1 with saturated hydrophobic tail self-assembled into conventional cylindrical nanofibers, while the unsaturated OPA2-3 molecules self-organized into helical nanoarchitectures. Due to the different double bond numbers in hydrophobic tails of OPA2-3, the helical pitch and width of their self-assemblies varied. Specially, linoleic acid-bearing OPA3 could be oxidized by lipoxidase to create hydroperoxide-containing OPA4, which further generated singlet oxygen (1O2) in the presence of catalytic iron (II) ion. The established system may provide a self-deliverable nanoplatform for 1O2-mediated cancer treatment.

  • Selective Formation of Helical Tetrapyrrin‐fused Porphyrins by Oxidation of beta‐to‐beta Linked meso‐Aminoporphyrin Dimers

    摘要: Oxidation of b-to-b directly linked and sulfur-bridged meso-amino NiII-porphyrin dimers with PbO2 gave helical tetrapyrrin (biliverdin analogue)-fused NiII-porphyrins. These ring cleaving reactions differ markedly from the previously reported oxidation of a b-b linked NiII-porphyrin dimer carrying one amino-group that gave an azepine-fused porphyrin dimer. The tetrapyrrin-fused NiII-porphyrins display intense NIR absorption bands reaching at 1200–1400 nm and reversible redox processes because of the highly p-conjugated networks and rigid structures. These tetrapyrrin-fused NiII-porphyrins were separated to stable enantiomers, which showed clear Cotton effects in their CD spectra with De of 102 order.
