  • Synthesis, In Vitro and In Vivo Behaviour of TiO2 Containing Inorganic/Organic Hybrids

    摘要: In the present study inorganic/organic hybrids reinforced by introducing titanium (TiO2) in the form of Ti-n-butoxide were prepared. The phase composition, microstructure and mechanical properties of the prepared hybrids were investigated. Increasing the titanium content gradually enhanced the mechanical data of the prepared hybrids. The formation of apatite on the surface of the prepared hybrids was examined in SBF (simulated body fluid). In vivo studies revealed the ability of the hybrids to regenerate bone tissue in femur defects of adult male rabbits five months after surgery. The prepared hybrids are considered to be promising materials for bone substitutes or bone filler.

  • Boosting the photocatalytic performances of covalent organic frameworks enabled by spatial modulation of plasmonic nanocrystals

    摘要: Plasmonic Au nanocrystals (NCs) are incorporated into covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with precisely modulated distributions to improve the efficiency of electron-hole separation covalent reactions and assembly of NCs, sparsely dispersed Au NCs (AuSP/COFs) or the close packed ones (AuCP/COFs) in COFs are fabricated, in which the contributions of electron acceptors/cocatalysts on the catalytic properties of Au/COFs composites are addressed by EPR, PL, phenacyl bromide (conversion >99%, selectivity of acetophenone ~92.8%) under visible light irradiation, which are associated with accelerated electron transfer, increased available Au/COFs and optimize the charge-carrier utilization. Specifically, through balancing the rate of dynamic Schottky junctions and boosted interfacial reaction kinetics. Overall, this work contributes to the fundamental understanding of the how spatial distributions of NCs in COFs affect the photocatalytic performances.

  • Synthesis, crystal structure and photochromic property of a phenethyl viologen bismuth(III) chloride

    摘要: Viologen bismuthate halides generally show photochromic properties. In the present work, phenylethyl alcohol was introduced into chloro bismuthates in the hope to prepare photochromic crystalline materials and finally a photochromic inorganic-organic hybrid, (PeV)3(Bi2Cl9)2 (1), based on (PeV2+ = phenethylviologen = N,N′-diphenethyl-4,4′-bipyridinium), has been obtained, whose microstructure contains a discrete dimer [Bi2Cl9]3– counterion identified by single crystal X-ray diffraction. More importantly, 1 exhibits a typical photochromic behavior, which can be mainly attributed to the reversible inter-conversion between the monocation viologen radical [PeV]+? and the viologen dication [PeV]2+.
