    摘要: This paper proposes a dual-input LLC resonant converter that interfaces with one PV panel and one battery energy storage system (BESS). The topology is a dual half-bridge LLC circuit with four active switches. This topology allows the two sources to share the same resonant tank for transferring energy to the load without the need for additional circuit components. A phase-shift pulse width modulation (PWM) control is employed to implement maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for PV panel and duty cycle is controlled to regulate battery current. The converter voltage gain is controlled by varying the operating frequency as in a typical LLC resonant converter. Zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) is realized in all switches over the entire range of source voltage and load conditions. In addition, voltage stress across switches does not exceed the input voltage. A simulation study was carried out to validate the operating principles of the proposed topology. The input voltage range of the PV source was selected to be 25 V to 50 V and the nominal input voltage of battery was 60 V with an output voltage regulated at 200 V DC.

  • A Family of Single-Stage, Buck-Boost Inverters for Photovoltaic Applications

    摘要: This paper introduces a family of single-stage buck-boost DC/AC inverters for photovoltaic (PV) applications. The high-gain feature was attained by applying a multi-winding tapped inductor, and thus, the proposed topologies can generate a grid-level AC output voltage without using additional high step-up stages. The proposed topologies had a low component count and consisted of a single magnetic device and three or four power switches. Moreover, the switches were assembled in a push-pull or half/full-bridge arrangement, which allowed using commercial low-cost driver-integrated circuits. In this paper, the operation principle and comparison of the proposed topologies are presented. The feasibility of the proposed topologies was veri?ed by simulations and experimental tests.

    摘要: A new series resonant dc-dc converter is proposed for PV microinverters. Compared to the conventional series resonant converter (SRC), a dual-mode rectifier (DMR) is configured on the secondary side, which allows the proposed converter to achieve a wider gain range with a fixed-frequency phase-shift control. Moreover, the active switches and diodes are turned on with zero-voltage switching (ZVS) and off with zero-current switching (ZCS), respectively, thereby minimizing the switching losses. The operation principle is firstly detailed and then the converter characteristics are analyzed and compared. Finally, a 400-kHz 250-W converter prototype is built and tested to verify the advantages of the proposed converter.
