Design of Collectors for High Average/Continuous-Wave Power Gyro-Devices
摘要: In this paper, techniques to improve the collector’s dissipated power density threshold are discussed first. Then, theories of electron collection are presented, aiming at improving the effective electron-collecting area and collecting uniformity. Specifically, the layered electron beam collection in linear-taper collector, respectively, with constant and gradually varying magnetic field is modeled and discussed. Results indicate that a quasi-rectangular shape collection can be realized as the tangential collection dominates. Finally, the using of a compensation coil is analyzed and the corresponding collector is designed.

Contribution to the System Design of Contactless Energy Transfer Systems
摘要: In this contribution, a design procedure that is applicable to many kinds of wireless or contactless energy transfer systems is proposed. The design procedure is limited to near field wireless energy transfer systems in resonant operation. For this purpose, the input impedance and voltage transfer function of different natural frequencies are calculated analytically, and moreover, the behavior of the system is described. Following three issues lead to a readily applicable design procedure. First, the knowledge of the transfer functions. Secondly, the knowledge of basic magnetic properties and lastly, the known influence of harmonics according to rectifier and inverter. This design procedure is demonstrated with two hardware setups.

摘要: The development of PV-systems has increased due to the high demand for clean energy. Used worldwide in the distributed power generation markets, the photovoltaic energy must not only be maximized, but also adapted to the global standards on harmonic emissions towards the power utility. Hence, the tracking of the maximum power point and the harmonic filtering becomes necessary. A three-phase single stage grid-connected Photovoltaic system consisting of a photovoltaic array and a three-phase PWM inverter coupled through the LCL-filter to the electrical grid is studied in this paper. A new control design is developed to maximize power in the side of PV panels and to ensure a unit power factor at the grid side. Grid synchronization is provided by a three-phase PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) and the closed-loop stability is demonstrated using Lyapunov analysis. Simulation results clearly illustrate that the proposed controller has achieved all of its objectives. In order to demonstrate the performance of the LCL-filter in minimizing the harmonics produced by the photovoltaic inverter, the frequency response of the injected currents was compared to that obtained using a simple L-filter.

A Hybrid MMC-Based Photovoltaic and Battery Energy Storage System
摘要: This paper proposes a new configuration and its control strategy for a modular multilevel converter (MMC)-based photovoltaic (PV)-battery energy storage (BES) system. In the MMC-based PV-BES system, each PV submodule is interfaced from its dc side with multiple PV generators using isolated dual active bridge (DAB) dc-dc converters. One BES system is embedded into each arm of the converter and is connected to the dc port of the associated BES submodule using multiple isolated DAB converters. The embedded BES systems are used to smooth the output power of the PV generators and limit the rate of change of the power delivered to the host grid. Moreover, they enable compensation of power mismatches between the arms and legs of the system by exchanging power with the arms of the converter. The paper then proposes a hybrid power mismatch elimination strategy using a combination of power exchange with the arms of the converter and internal power flow control of the MMC. The proposed hybrid power mismatch elimination strategy employs BES systems and differential currents to compensate power mismatches and transfer power between the arms and legs of the converter, respectively. The effectiveness of the proposed power smoothing technique using the embedded BES systems and hybrid power mismatch elimination strategy is demonstrated using time-domain simulations conducted on a switched model of the PV-BES system in PSCAD/EMTDC software environment.

A Dual-Discrete Model Predictive Control-based MPPT for PV systems
摘要: This paper presents a method that overcomes the problem of the confusion during fast irradiance change in the classical MPPTs as well as in model predictive control (MPC)-based MPPTs available in the literature. The previously introduced MPC-based MPPTs take into account the model of the converter only, which make them prone to the drift during fast environmental conditions. Therefore, the model of the PV array is also considered in the proposed algorithm, which allows it to be prompt during rapid environmental condition changes. It takes into account multiple previous samples of power, and based on that is able to take the correct tracking decision when the predicted and measured power differ (in case of drift issue). After the tracking decision is taken, it will be sent to a second part of the algorithm as a reference. The second part is used for following the reference provided by the first part, where the pulses are sent directly to the converter, without a modulator or a linear controller. The proposed technique is validated experimentally by using a buck converter, fed by a PV simulator. The tracking efficiency is evaluated according to EN50530 standard in static and dynamic conditions. The experimental results show that the proposed MPC-MPPT is a quick and accurate tracker under very fast changing irradiance, while maintaining high tracking efficiency even under very low irradiance.

摘要: This paper presents a novel LC voltage-controlled-oscillator (VCO) based on active inductor (AI). Taking advantage of equivalent RLC model of the AI, a novel tunable differential AI (DAI) is designed and used to act as the LC tank of the VCO. First, a tunable DAI with cascode-structure and current-mirror feedback networks is designed to achieve high quality factor (Q) and high equivalent parallel resistance (Rp). Then, the DAI is used to replace LC in VCO to realize good comprehensive performance of VCO such as low phase noise, low power consumption and high output power. Based on TSMC 0.18μm RF CMOS process, the novel VCO is verified by Agilent’s Advanced Design System (ADS). The results show that under the supply voltage of 1.8V, the output power reaches up to -4.2 dBm, a frequency tuning range is in 1.126-2.713 GHz, and the phase noise at 1-MHz offset is -117.2 dBc/Hz. A power of only 13.6 mW is consumed.

摘要: The contactless transmission of electrical power has many important advantages in modern technology through the lack of electrical contacts and therefore of their ageing, the facile use in aggressive or explosive environments, in marine environments, medical applications, in electrical vehicles, in robotics. The efficiency is comparable to the galvanic contact transmission at small and medium distances but there is also the ability to simultaneously transmit energy and data. The paper makes a review of the main recent Romanian and foreign publications on the main techniques of contactless power transmission, regarding the optimization of the coupler 'figure of merit', and compensation topology, using both circuit analysis and FEM analysis. A recent application to contactless transmission via conductive fluids is discussed. Also, there are discussed the perspectives of the research, development and use of the described methods in the following years, in the scope of achieving interoperability, increasing the efficiency and the power transfer.

摘要: The solar array output model under arbitrary damage condition is established and a semi-physical simulation platform is built, which are used to study the influence of solar array damage on satellite power system. The experimental results show that the solar array damage range, damage degree, and satellite working mode influence the remaining service life of satellite power system. When the solar array damage range and satellite working mode are determined, the rule between remaining service life of satellite power system and solar array damage degree can be summarized as 'three areas, two key points'.

摘要: The Inter-Carrier Interference (ICI) compensation for Coherent Optical Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (CO-OFDM) system has been studied in this paper. The purpose behind is to investigate the presence of ICI due to the impact of Laser Phase Noise (LPN) and Fiber Non-Linearity (FNL). Thereby, we propose a simple clipping scheme which represents an effective distortion algorithm to decrease the Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) for 4QAM system. The method exhibits a significant process on ICI cancellation in CO-OFDM system. The OFDM signal is basically transmitted along 550km distance rated at 10Gbps single mode fiber for the coherent optical mode. The new findings show that the receiver sensitivity is highly improved below 10-3 FEC for laser power 5dBm; and archives about 1dBm to 2.4dBm when laser power becomes 8dBm at a typical clipping ratio of 0.6. In particular, the system exhibits a good performance over a 385km transmission distance in comparison to the conventional CO-OFDM. As a result, the proposed clipping shows that the system can enhance its the performance by reducing ICI in the CO-OFDM system; in addition to present a high robustness in BER metric against FNL by a clear reduction in PAPR.

A Square-Root-Based Memory Polynomial Model for Concurrent Dual-Band Digital Predistortion
摘要: In this letter, a novel 2-D square-root-based memory polynomial behavioral model is proposed. A new set of square-root-based basic functions is adopted to describe the characteristic of the predistorter. Since the proposed model has only two nested summations, the number of coefficients of the proposed model is greatly reduced compared with models which have three nested summations. The experimental results show that the proposed model can reduce the coefficients by more than 66.7% compared with the 2-D digital predistortion (2D-DPD) model. Moreover, the proposed model can achieve better adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR) performance. Compared with the 2D-DPD model and the simple online coefficient update model, the proposed model can improve the normalized mean-square error by 11 dB. Compared with the 2-D modified memory polynomial model, the proposed model can obtain similar ACPR performance with a shorter running time.
