    摘要: Rice leaf folder (Cnaphalocrocis medinalis Guenée) is one of the most important pests that endanger rice development and yield, which has characteristics of large outbreak areas, high occurrence frequencies and heavy damages. At present, the monitoring methods of rice leaf folder damage is based on artificial investigation, which has the advantages of objective truth and high reliability, while there is a drawback of time-consuming, and it cannot used for a wide range of rice damage monitoring. An ASD (Analytical Spectral Devices, Inc.) Hand-held Spectroradiometer was used at jointing stage of rice. The results showed that, reflectance from rice canopy significantly decreased in the green (530-570 nm) and near infrared (700-1000 nm) regions, and significantly increased in the blue (450-520 nm) and red (580-700 nm) regions as the rice leaf folder population increased. Reflectance from rice canopy significantly decreased in the spectral regions from 737 to 1000 nm as the infestation scale of pest population increased, and the most correlation appeared at 941 nm. The more the numbers of rice leaf folder, the higher the changes of such characteristic parameters. The positive correlations were found between the damage of rice leaf folder and the discrepancy of characteristic parameters in these experimental fields. With China Remote Sensing career advancement, a large number of independent researches and development satellites have launched. Among a new generation of high-resolution satellites, GaoFen-1 (GF-1) stands out. It sets high spatial resolution (2 m-16 m), multi-spectral and high temporal resolution (4-day) with 60 km-800 km swath in a fusion technology with strategic significance. In order to explore the adaptability of Chinese GF-1 images in monitoring rice damage from rice leaf folder, nine rice fields were selected by damage severity in Xinghua City, Jiangsu Province at full heading stage in 2015, and the Ratio Vegetation Index (RVI), Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI), 2-band Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI2), Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index (SAVI), Optimized Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index (OSAVI) were used to characterize the occurrence of rice leaf folder damages, which were calculated from the satellite GF-1 retrieval data. A series of analyses were performed to disclose the relationship among these six indices and the severity of rice leaf folder. Quantitative correlation analyses showed that NDVI, EVI, EVI2, SAVI, OSAVI and leaf folding population had a highly significant correlation (P<0.01), and SAVI had a highest correlation of 0.94. While there was no significant correlation between RVI and leaf folding population. Therefore, it was feasible to using hyperspectral data and GF-1 satellite images to monitor and warn the outbreak and development of rice leaf folder, which provided a new possible method to monitor dynamically the damage of rice leaf folder.

  • Planar multifrequency mid-IR microwave-pumped lasers

    摘要: The characteristics of planar repetitively pulsed diffusion-cooled HF, DF, HF – DF, Xe, and HF – DF – Xe(Kr) lasers pumped by a microwave discharge (2.45 GHz) are studied depending on the pump pulse duration (10 – 40 ms) and repletion rate (50 – 400 Hz), as well as on the composition and pressure of the working gas mixture (30 – 200 Torr) at low (to 0.6 L s–1) gas flow rates. It is demonstrated for the first time that a HF – DF – Xe gas-discharge laser may simultaneously operate as a HF – DF chemical molecular laser and a recombination laser based on xenon atom transitions and generate broadband (octave) radiation in the range 2.0 – 4.2 mm with an average output power of 43 mW and an efficiency of 0.9 %. With substitution of xenon for krypton, lasing in a HF – DF – Kr laser is obtained at wavelengths of 2.52 – 4.15 mm. Lasing in a HF – DF laser was achieved simultaneously in two spectral regions (2.7 – 2.9 and 3.6 – 4.2 mm) with an output power of ~50 mW. It is found that a decrease in the pump pulse duration with a simultaneous increase in the pulse repletion rate for retaining the average energy deposition leads to an increase in the average output power and efficiency of the laser. At low pulse repetition rates (50 – 100 Hz) and a low gas mixture flow rate, helium buffer gas can be effectively substituted for neon. Operation of the Xe laser was achieved in the spectral range 2.03 – 3.65 mm with an average output power of 580 Mw at a pump pulse duration of 20 ms, a pulse repetition rate to 10 kHz, and a maximum efficiency of 55 %. The obtained experimental results demonstrate the possibility of creating broadband HF – DF – Xe lasers emitting in the frequency range 2 – 4 mm with a desired ratio of intensities in different spectral ranges.

  • Spectral characteristics of underwater laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy at high pressure conditions

    摘要: Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) has been proven to be an attractive technique for the in-situ oceanic applications. However, when applying LIBS into deep-sea, the pressure effect caused by different ocean depth is inescapable and could have great influence on the LIBS signals. In this work, spectral characteristics of underwater LIBS were investigated as a function of pressure in the range of 0.1–45 MPa. A high-pressure chamber built in the laboratory was used to simulate the high-pressure environment of deep-sea. Optimal laser energy and detection delay were first determined under different pressure conditions and were shown to be independent on the external pressure. The increase in pressure has a significant impact both on the peak intensity and line broadening of the observed spectra. The peak intensity of Na, Li and K lines increases with the increasing pressure until a maximum intensity reached at 12.5 MPa. Above this value, the peak intensity decreases gradually up to 45 MPa. For Ca line, the maximum intensity was observed at 30 MPa. The line broadening keeps constant at low pressures from 0.1 to 10 MPa while it increases linearly at higher pressures, indicating a higher electron density caused by the compression effect of the high external pressure. We also compared the spectral data obtained from the high-pressure chamber and from the field sea trials, and the good consistency between the laboratory data and sea-trial data suggested the key role of pressure effect on underwater LIBS signals for the practical deep-sea applications.

  • Existence of an Infinite Spectrum of Damped Leaky TE Waves in an Open Inhomogeneous Cylindrical Metal–Dielectric Waveguide

    摘要: We consider the problem about leaky waves in an inhomogeneous waveguide structure. This problem is reduced to a boundary value problem for the longitudinal components of the electromagnetic ?eld in Sobolev spaces. A variational problem statement is used to determine the solution. The variational problem is reduced to studying an operator function. The properties of this operator function necessary for analyzing its spectral characteristics are investigated. Theorems about the discreteness of the spectrum and the distribution of the characteristic numbers of the operator function on the complex plane are proved. The existence of in?nitely many damped leaky waves in a cylindrical waveguide is established.

  • Improving the Accuracy of Broad-Band Monitoring of Optical Coating Deposition

    摘要: A method for improving the accuracy of the broad-band monitoring of the process of depositing optical coatings is proposed. The method is based on determining the actual set of thicknesses of deposited layers in the deposition process. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated in a series of model numerical experiments using a simulator of deposition process.

  • The Effect of Relativistic Interactions on the Spectral Characteristics of the Ground State of Carbon Monoxide

    摘要: Using high-precision nonempirical methods of modern quantum chemistry, the effect of the weak relativistic interactions on the potential energy and the permanent dipole moment of the ground electronic state of the CO molecule is studied. The relativistic energy is calculated by the following three optional methods: within the first-order perturbation theory using the Cowan–Griffin operator containing the sum of the mass-velocity and Darwin corrections, within the framework of the approximate Douglas–Kroll–Hess scalar Hamiltonian, and the most rigid “four-component” relativistic Dirac–Coulomb–Gaunt Hamiltonian. The relativistic correction obtained by different methods agrees within a few percents and equals about 55–60 cm–1 in the region of an equilibrium internuclear distance of 1.128 ?. The addition of the relativistic correction decreases the equilibrium bond length by about 0.0002 ?. The magnitude of the Lamb shift estimated by the semiempirical scaling of the one-electron Darwin’s term does not exceed several inverse centimeters near eR. The relativistic correction to the dipole moment function is in the range from –0.001 to +0.003 D, which does not exceed 1% of the nonrelativistic component of the dipole moment.
