  • Encrypted Chaos in Quantum Dot Light Emitting Diode

    摘要: A communication scheme based on the synchronization of two chaotic quantum dot light emitting diodes (QD-LEDs) is theoretically examined. The Chaos in the QD-LED is generated by means of an optical feedback. Synchronization of the chaos is achieved by varying coupling strength between the transmitter and the receiver as unidirectional coupling. The proposed communication schemes is test a by successfully transmitting messages.

    摘要: Chaos synchronization is investigated in quantum dot semiconductor lasers with negative optoelectronic feedback. Depending on the coupling strength between transmitter and receiver quantum dot semiconductor Laser. Synchronization happens when the coupling strength to the receiver matches the feedback strength to the transmitter, where the receiver output reproduces the output of the transmitter regardless of the presence of channel distortion or an encoded message. when feedback strength of transmitter, receiver quantum dot semiconductor Laser and coupling feedback strength are equal (- 0.3), time delay of transmitter, receiver quantum dot semiconductor Laser and coupling are sensitive to synchronization.

  • Real-Time 2.5-Gb/s Correlated Random Bit Generation Using Synchronized Chaos Induced by a Common laser with Dispersive Feedback

    摘要: We experimentally demonstrate high-speed correlated random bit generation in real time using synchronized chaotic lasers commonly driven by a laser with dispersive feedback. The dispersive feedback from a chirped fiber Bragg grating induces frequency-dependent feedback delay and thus no longer causes time-delay signature, and resultantly ensures the signal randomness and security of chaotic laser. Driven by the time-delay signature-free chaotic signal, the two response lasers are routed into chaotic states and establish a synchronization with correlation beyond 0.97 while they maintain a low correlation level with the drive signal. Through quantizing the synchronized laser chaos with a one-bit differential comparator, real-time 2.5-Gb/s correlated random bits with verified randomness are experimentally obtained with a bit error ratio of 0.07. Combining with a robust sampling method, the BER could be further decreased to 1×10?4 corresponding to an effective generation rate of 1.7 Gb/s. Bit error analysis indicates that the bit error ratio between the responses is lower than that between the drive and responses over a wide parameter region due to the synchronization superiority of the responses over the drive.

  • Chaos Synchronization in Visible Light Communications with Variable Delays Induced by Multipath Fading

    摘要: Visible Light Communication (VLC) uses light-emitting diodes to provide wireless connectivity in public environments. Transmission security in this emerging channel is not trivial. Chaotic modulation techniques can provide encryption directly in the physical layer based on the random-alike evolution and strong synchronization prospect given by deterministic chaos. In secure chaotic inclusion or embedding methods, continuous-time chaos oscillator models need to be synchronized via a coupling carrier. Here we present a ?rst numerical simulation study for the impact of the variable delays induced by line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight multipath fading in complete chaotic synchronization. More precisely, we analyze a chaotic Colpitts oscillator that is simultaneously transmitting the carrier to several mobile receivers via nine spotlights. Such induced delays depend on both the receiver position and the carrier frequency, in?uencing the complete synchronization required in modulation via chaotic inclusion. Correlation values for several receiver positions and carrier frequencies are presented, examining the progressive emergence of the multipath effect and its impact on chaotic synchronization. We show that, for the chaotic oscillator and coupling applied in the de?ned room settings, complete chaotic synchronization can be achieved and that it is robust up to the tens of MHz region.
