  • Tunable optical and magnetic properties of Ni-doped CuSe nanowires using AAO template assisted hydraulic method

    摘要: High uniformity of un-doped and Ni-doped CuSe nanowires have been fabricated through smelting the bulk and injecting the melted liquid into the anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) template. The Ni dopant concentration and morphology of CuSe nanowires can be well controlled via preparing the bulk materials and the channel size of AAO template. The cathodoluminescence (CL) peaks of the un-doped, 0.5 at% and 1.0 at% Ni-doped CuSe nanowires showed a redshift of about 26 nm and 42 nm from un-doped CuSe nanowires (579 nm), respectively. Furthermore, above room temperature ferromagnetism was observed in 1.0 at% Ni-doped CuSe nanowires at 300 K. The facile injection molding method fabricated nanowires with tunable optical and magnetic properties could be applied to prepare varied nanomaterials for spintronic devices in the further.

  • Rectifying Behaviour and Photocatalytic Activity in ZnO Nanorods Array/Ag/CuSe Heterostructure

    摘要: Ag incorporated vertically aligned ZnO nanorods array/CuSe thin film (ZnO NRs/CuSe TF) have been fabricated via a solution route, thermal evaporation and magnetron sputtering process. Ternary ZnO nanorods/Ag/CuSe heterostructure was studied by X-ray diffractometry, field emission-scanning electron microscopy/energy dispersive X ray spectroscopy, current–voltage measurement and a UV–Vis–near IR spectrophotometer. The photocatalytic performance was estimated by the degradation of Rhodamine B solution under UV–Vis light irradiation. The photocatalytic efficiency of the ZnO NRs/Ag/CuSe heterostructure is higher than that of ZnO NRs/Ag and ZnO NRs/CuSe counterparts due to the robust effects of the three functional components coupling. The localized surface plasmon resonance and two Schottky junctions (e.g. Ag/ZnO and Ag/CuSe) motivates photogenerated electron–hole separation and transfer. This work presents an artificial manipulated system to enhance light harvesting, efficient charge separation and transfer, and low recombination rate in solar energy conversion.

  • Polarization-sensitive photoresponse of the CuSe/Se nanocomposite prepared by vacuum thermal deposition

    摘要: We report on the generation of the polarization-sensitive photocurrent in the thin film of the CuSe/Se nanocomposite irradiated by femtosecond pulses of Ti:S laser. CuSe/Se bilayer consisting of nanocrystalline CuSe and amorphous Se films was obtained using successive deposition of Cu and Se on a glass substrate in the course of vacuum thermal evaporation. Synthesized bilayers were characterized using optical transmittance and Raman spectroscopy, optical, atomic force and scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffractometry. It is demonstrated that in the longitudinal configuration, the photocurrent propagating along the plane of incidence is maximum for the p- and vanishes for the s-polarized excitation beam. In the transverse configuration, the photocurrent propagating perpendicular to the plane of incidence is an odd function of the polarization azimuth of the linearly polarized excitation beam and vanishes when it is either p- or s-polarized. We show that for an elliptically polarized excitation beam the polarity of the transverse photocurrent reverses when rotation direction of the electric field vector changes. Both longitudinal and transverse photocurrents are odd functions of the angle of incidence and can be explained in terms of the surface photogalvanic effect.
