  • 40.3: Invisibility Mechanism Research of Metal Bridge in Capacitive Touch Panel and Optimal Design Solution

    摘要: This paper shows deep analysis and research for the invisibility mechanism in large size capacitive touch panel. Invisibility of metal bridge is influenced by LCD module and touch panel together, main factors should be studied together. Experimental verification results show that: (1) when the PPI of LCD module is lower, the area of the LCD Dot occupied by the metal bridge is smaller, then the invisibility effect will be better. (2) The bigger pitch of touch panel pattern will result in the lower density of metal bridge. (3) The invisibility of touch panel also can be improved by the angle change of metal bridge especially when the bridge has intersection angle with LCD RGB dot from 15° to 45°. (4) The width of hammer in metal bridge plays a good role for invisibility, and the improvement effect will not be obvious in a certain width. (5) Whether the direction of the metal bridge and the RGB unit is vertical or parallel almost has no impact on the invisibility. These conclusions can provide references for the follow up product development.

  • Single-Crystal Poly[4-(4,4-dihexadecyl-4H-cyclopenta[1,2-b:5,4-b′]dithiophen-2-yl)- <i>alt</i> -[1,2,5]thiadiazolo[3,4- <i>c</i> ]pyridine] Nanowires with Ultrahigh Mobility

    摘要: We fabricated single-crystal poly[4-(4,4-dihexadecyl-4H-cyclopenta[1,2-b:5,4-b']-dithiophen-2-yl)-alt-[1,2,5]thiadiazolo-[3,4-c]pyridine] (PCDTPT) nanowires with ultrahigh mobility using a liquid-bridge-mediated nanotransfer molding method. The structural analysis of the single-crystal PCDTPT nanowires reveals that PCDTPT crystals have a triclinic structure, and the nanowires grow parallel to PCDTPT backbone chains, which provide important insights into its intrinsic charge transport. The single-crystal PCDTPT nanowire exhibits a superior charge carrier mobility of 72.94 ± 18.02 cm2 V-1 s-1 (maximum mobility up to 92.64 cm2 V-1 s-1), which is a record high value among conjugated polymers till date. In the single-crystal PCDTPT nanowire, the backbone chains in the linear structure along the nanowire growth axis lead to strong backbone delocalization, resulting in highly conductive polymer backbones and a drastic increase in charge carrier mobility. In addition, the single-crystal PCDTPT nanowire shows good environmental stability under air conditions compared to small-molecule organic semiconductors.

  • A Novel Actuator-Internal Micro/Nano Positioning Stage with an Arch-Shape Bridge Type Amplifier

    摘要: This paper presents a novel actuator-internal two degree-of-freedom (2-DOF) micro/nano positioning stage actuated by piezoelectric (PZT) actuators, which can be used as a fine actuation part in dual-stage system. To compensate the positioning error of coarse stage and achieve a large motion stroke, a symmetrical structure with an arch-shape bridge type amplifier based on single notch circular flexure hinges is proposed and utilized in the positioning stage. Due to the compound bridge arm configuration and compact flexure hinge structure, the amplification mechanism can realize high lateral stiffness and compact structure simultaneously, which is of great importance to protect PZT actuators. The amplification mechanism is integrated into the decoupling mechanism to improve compactness, and to produce decoupled motion in X- and Y- axes. An analytical model is established to explore the static and dynamic characteristics, and the geometric parameters are optimized. The performance of the positioning stage is evaluated through finite element analysis (FEA) and experimental test. The results indicate that the stage can implement 2-DOF decoupled motion with a travel range of 55.4×53.2 μm2, and the motion resolution is 8 nm. The stage can be used in probe tip-based micro/nano scratching.

  • IR photodissociation spectra of SixH4x-4+ (x?=?4–8): Evidence for Si H Si proton bridges

    摘要: Although silane-type cations of the form SixHy+ are thought to play a significant role in plasma chemistry and astrochemistry, their structural and energetic properties are largely unexplored in the size range x ≥ 3. Herein, infrared photodissociation (IRPD) spectra of mass-selected SixHy+ with x = 4–8, specifically SixH4x-4+, are recorded in the Si–H stretch range and analyzed by dispersion-corrected density functional calculations at the B3LYP-D3/aug-cc-pVDZ level. The SixH4x-4+ ions are produced in a SiH4/H2/He plasma molecular beam expansion. The IRPD process leads to the loss of SiH4 ligands, which corresponds to the lowest-energy fragment channel. Spectral analysis of the IRPD spectra reveals that all SixH4x-4+ ions have at least one Si–H–Si bridge. The characteristic fingerprint of these three-center two-electron (3c-2e) bonds is the highly IR active antisymmetric stretch fundamental of the Si–H–Si bridge (νSiHSi) occurring in the 1600–2100 cm?1 range, whose frequency strongly depends on the structural and energetic details of the Si–H–Si bridge. Although the investigated SixH4x-4+ ions can formally be described by the formula Si2H4+(SiH4)x-2, the cluster growth is more complex. The appearance of the νSiHSi bands confirms that all considered SixH4x-4+ ions with x ≤ 5 are formed by polymerization reactions. Larger clusters (x ≥ 6) show evidence for the additional presence of weakly-bonded SiH4 ligands attached to smaller chemically-bonded core ions. Correlations of the properties of the Si–H–Si bridges (bond distances, bond angles, binding energies, Si–H stretch frequencies), which vary between strong symmetric 3c-2e chemical bonds and weak hydrogen bonds, are discussed.

  • Enhanced Active Power balancing capability of Grid connected Solar PV fed Cascaded H-bridge Converter

    摘要: Cascaded H-bridge converter is a promising solution for next generation large scale PV system having both active and reactive power exchange capacity. However, one challenge with this converter is unbalanced power generation among the clusters or cells due to variation in radiation level, temperature, dusting on PV cells etc. In order to inject balanced power to the grid, in this paper, a controlled exchange of reactive power is proposed so that the converter can work with unbalanced power generation within the clusters. Magnitude of reactive power exchange is derived and necessary conditions discussed. Additionally, the magnitude of zero voltage is derived taking into account both active and reactive power exchange with the grid. By exchanging reactive power, the converter can also be used during low voltage ride through (LVRT) condition. This paper introduces a novel representation of unbalanced power generation using barycentric coordinate system which helps to identify regions in the power plane which require the exchange of reactive power. The proposed method is verified through computer simulation and in a laboratory prototype.

    摘要: This paper presents a universal power converter building block (PCBB) with isolation transformer which can perform various functionalities such as charging (G2V), vehicle to grid (V2G) regenerative capability, and vehicle to load (V2L) feature. This converter can output different types of voltage, such as AC or DC, high voltage or low voltage, single-phase or three-phase. With different combinations of modularized PCBB, various voltage and power rating can also be achieved. The control algorithms for each operation mode are explained, including G2V, V2G, and V2L. Simulation results are accompanied to validate its capability. To achieve high power density, SiC MOSFET power module with high frequency switching is adopted along with the isolation transformer of nanocrystalline core. Overall, this paper extends a promising circuit topology of multiple practical and essential features for vehicle electrification.

  • Enhanced nonlinear optical properties of porphyrin with an extended π-conjugated bridge

    摘要: In this work, a series of molecules with an extended π-conjugated bridge have been theoretically designed based on porphyrin, where -(CH=CH)n- (n = 1–4, 8, 12) chain is served as an extended π-conjugated bridge. It is found that all molecules exhibit large energy gaps in the range of 3.484–4.151 eV for porphyrin-(CH=CH)n-NH2, and 3.624–4.250 for porphyrin-(CH=CH)n-NO2. The maximum absorption wavelengths of all molecules show a red shift trend with increasing -(CH=CH)n- length, which leads to small transition energy. It is observed that long chain brings these molecules the large first hyperpolarizability, which are 1.04 × 105 au for porphyrin-(CH=CH)12-NH2, 1.26×105 au for porphyrin-(CH=CH)12-NO2. Moreover, compared with -(CH=CH)n-NH2 with the same chain length, -(CH=CH)n-NO2 chain can achieve larger nonlinear optical response. It is hoped that the research in this paper can provide a new strategy for the experimental design of nonlinear optical materials.

  • Enhanced photocatalytic activity of hierarchical titanium dioxide microspheres with combining carbon nanotubes as “e-bridge”

    摘要: Enhancing photocatalytic activity of titanium dioxide (TiO2) by efficient charge separation is essential but challenging. Herein, the recombination between photo-generated e–-h+ pairs is effectively hindered owing to the “e-bridge” formed between hierarchical TiO2 microspheres and carbon nanotubes (CNTs). The as-prepared three-dimensional TiO2 microspheres covered by intercrossing lamellar crystals are abundant in pores and sharp edges, forming an ideal interface with large surface area and numerous active sites for photocatalysis. Combined with CNTs, the TiO2 microspheres are connected and stabilized. Moreover, the CNTs serve as pathways for electrons, benefiting the effective separation of e–-h+ pairs and accounting for the superior photocatalytic activity. Transient fluorescence spectra shows that the lifetime of electrons on TiO2 prolongs from 5.23 ns to 10.14 ns assisted by CNTs. In aqueous matrix, electrons gathering on the CNTs can react with O2 to produce O2–, and simultaneously, plenty of holes left in TiO2 host generate OH by oxidizing adsorbed H2O, producing abundant active species for photocatalytic degradation of 4-nitrophenol. The highest degradation efficiency in removing organic contaminants is achieved on TiO2@CNTs hybridized with CNTs weight ratio being 5%.

  • A 12.8-Gb/s Daisy Chain-Based Downlink I/F Employing Spectrally Compressed Multi-Band Multiplexing for High-Bandwidth, Large-Capacity Storage Systems

    摘要: Toward the aim of realizing high-bandwidth, large-capacity nand flash memory-based storage systems, this paper presents a novel daisy-chain downlink interface (I/F) between a controller and a large number of nand packages. The daisy-chain I/F employs a tapered-bandwidth architecture with bridge-by-bridge data extraction based on a proposed spectrally compressed multi-band multiplexing (SCM2) technique to achieve low power consumption. By using the proposed downlink I/F, a nand controller can handle 32 low-cost nand packages while achieving 12.8-Gb/s throughput using two data wires. The fabricated prototype downlink I/F achieved a bit error rate (BER) of 10^-12 with power consumption of 252.1 mW for the transmitter and 375.7 mW for all four receivers together.

  • Cascaded H-Bridge MLI and Three-Phase Cascaded VSI Topologies for Grid-Connected PV Systems with Distributed MPPT

    摘要: Cascaded multilevel inverter topologies have received a great deal of attention for grid-connected PV systems. In this paper, three-cascaded multilevel inverter configurations are proposed for grid-connected PV applications. These are the three-phase cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverter topology, three-phase cascaded voltage-source inverter topology using inductors, and three-phase cascaded voltage-source inverter topology using coupled transformers. Distributed maximum power point tracking (MPPT) of PV modules using perturbation and observation algorithm is used for all presented topologies. In all presented configurations, each PV module is connected to one DC-DC isolated ?uk converter for best MPPT achievement. Simulation is achieved by using the SIMULINK environment. The simulation results show that the three proposed topologies function well in improving the grid’s power quality. The grid currents are kept in phase with the grid voltage to ensure unity power factor, and the THD of the grid currents are within the acceptable range. The proposed topologies are experimentally implemented in the lab, and the switching pulses are generated with the help of the MicroLabBox data acquisition system. Comparing the three topologies according to the number of switches, voltage, and current stresses on switches and THD of the generated voltages and grid currents and according to the efficiency has been achieved in this paper, both experimentally and by simulation. The simulation and experimental results and comparisons are presented to verify the proposed topologies’ effectiveness and reliability.
