    摘要: In this paper, it is proposed that the electrostatic discharge protection devices may degrade the common-mode noise suppression. The mode conversion of ESD protection devices for single and multiple differential transmission lines are investigated. Experiments are set up to measure the scattering parameters and common-mode current of common-mode filter cascading different ESD protection devices. From the experimental results, the cases with four-line ESD protection array perform worse mode conversion and common-mode noise suppression.

  • Life cycle sustainability analysis applied to an innovative configuration of concentrated solar power

    摘要: Purpose Life cycle sustainability analysis (LCSA) is being developed as a holistic tool to evaluate environmental, economic and social impacts of products or services throughout their life cycle. This study responds to the need expressed by the scientific community to develop and test LCSA methodology, by assessing the sustainability of a concentrated solar power (CSP) plant based on HYSOL technology (an innovative configuration delivering improved efficiency and power dispatchability). Methods The methodology proposed consists of three stages: goal and scope definition, modelling and application of tools, and interpretation of results. The goal of the case study was to investigate to what extent may the HYSOL technology improve the sustainability of power generation in the Spanish electricity sector. To this purpose, several sustainability sub-questions were framed and different analysis tools were applied as follows: attributional and consequential life cycle assessment, life cycle cost (LCC) analysis and multiregional input-output analysis (MRIO), and social life cycle assessment (S-LCA) in combination with social risk assessment (with the Social Hotspots Database). Visual diagrams representing the sustainability of the analysed scenarios were also produced to facilitate the interpretation of results and decision making. Results and discussion The results obtained in the three sustainability dimensions were integrated using a Bquestions and answers^ layout, each answer describing a specific element of sustainability. The HYSOL technology was investigated considering two different operation modes: HYSOL BIO with biomethane as hybridization fuel and HYSOL NG with natural gas. The results indicated that the deployment of HYSOL technology would produce a reduction in the climate change impact of the electricity sector for both operation modes. The LCC analysis indicated economic benefits per MWh for a HYSOL NG power plant, but losses for a HYSOL BIO power plant. The MRIO analysis indicated an increase in goods and services generation, and value added for the HYSOL technology affecting primarily Spain and to a lower extent other foreign economies. The social analysis indicated that both alternatives would provide a slight increase of social welfare Spain. Conclusions The methodological approach described in this investigation provided flexibility in the selection of objectives and analysis tools, which helped to quantify the sustainability effect of the system at a micro and meso level in the three sustainability dimensions. The results indicated that the innovation of HYSOL power plants is well aimed to improve the sustainability of CSP technology and the Spanish electricity sector.

  • Analysis of CO2 emission reduction contribution and efficiency of Chinaa??s solar photovoltaic industry: Based on Input-output perspective

    摘要: As one of the most promising renewable energy sources, the amount of solar photovoltaics has reached 104.1 GW in 2018. China not only has the natural advantages of abundant solar energy resources, but the photovoltaic industry under the government’s support has also become the main driving force for global development. Facing the structural adjustment of solar photovoltaic parity online and the important contribution of solar power generation to energy conservation and emission reduction, this paper based on the radial and non-radial comprehensive consideration of EBM (Epsilon-Based Measure) DEA (Data envelopment analysis) model from the input-output perspective on solar photovoltaic industry CO2 emission reduction and ef?ciency analyze. It is concluded that the total ef?ciency of the solar photovoltaic industry in China’s six regions shows a growing trend, but the regional differences are obvious. The overall ef?ciency of the northwest region is superior. Among the index ef?ciency, CO2 emission reduction ef?ciency is better than cumulative installed capacity ef?ciency, solar energy utilization hour ef?ciency is the lowest, and CO2 emission reduction and cumulative installed capacity ef?ciency all show a consistent trend. It shows that the ef?ciency of cumulative installed capacity has a positive impact on CO2 emission reduction, but the ef?ciency of solar power generation needs to be improved.

  • Polarization-Controlled Cavity Input-Output Relations

    摘要: Cavity input-output relations (CIORs) describe a universal formalism relating each of the far-field amplitudes outside the cavity to the internal cavity fields. Conventionally, they are derived based on a weak-scattering approximation. In this context, the amplitude of the off-resonant field remains nearly unaffected by the cavity, with the high coupling efficiency into cavity modes being attributed to destructive interference between the transmitted (or reflected) field and the output field from the cavity. In this Letter, we show that, in a whispering gallery resonator-waveguide coupled system, in the strong-scattering regime, the off-resonant field approaches to zero, but more than 90% coupling efficiency can still be achieved due to the Purcell-enhanced channeling. As a result, the CIORs turn out to be essentially different than in the weak-scattering regime. With this fact, we propose that the CIOR can be tailored by controlling the scattering strength. This is experimentally demonstrated by the transmission spectra exhibiting either bandstop or bandpass-type behavior according to the polarization of the input light field.

  • Coherent TiO <sub/>2</sub> /BaTiO <sub/>3</sub> heterostructure as a functional reservoir and promoter for polysulfide intermediates

    摘要: Promoting biodiesel industrialization is not only an important measure in addressing the energy crisis and global warming but is also a driver for industrial restructuring and rural development. To promote the development of the biofuel industry, the Chinese central government has set a target that biofuel will account for 15% of transport energy consumption by 2020. The macroeconomic impacts of this policy, however, are unknown. This paper estimates the economic and environmental impacts on Yunnan of meeting this target using a demand-driven input–output model for Jatropha curcas L. biodiesel. The study combines life-cycle analysis and input–output analysis to establish the industrial relationship of the biodiesel sector with other sectors. The results show that meeting the biofuel policy target in 2020 will generate 296,780 thousand job opportunities annually (man-year) and increase household income. Meeting this target will also lower carbon emission by 11.39 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent, valued at 2.41 billion Yuan. However, meeting the target will decrease tax revenue by 1.8 billion Yuan and reduce the provincial gross domestic product by 754.95 million Yuan. Thus, the industrialization of J. curcas L. biodiesel can contribute to the development of a green economy and is a positive response to the policies of energy conservation and emission reduction. The promotion of biodiesel production, however, requires a trade-off between economic and environmental targets.

  • COUPLED LINE RAT-RACE COUPLER WITH WIDE ADJUSTABLE POWER DIVIDING RATIO AND UNCROSSED INPUT/OUTPUT PORTS

    摘要: A novel rat-race coupler with wide adjustable range of power-dividing ratio and uncrossed input/output ports is presented by using coupling adjustable trans-directional (TRD) coupled lines, parallel coupled lines and a 180? phase shifting line. Wide adjustable range of power-dividing ratios is accomplished by varying the coupling of the TRD coupled lines. Moreover, with the combination of the TRD coupled lines and parallel coupled lines, the input and output ports of the rat-race coupler are uncrossed. The structure of the proposed rat-race coupler is analyzed, and the design equations are derived. As an example to validate the feature of the proposed rat-race coupler, a prototype operating at 1.6 GHz is devised, fabricated and measured. The measured results show that the designed coupler has a wide adjustable range (?7 ~ 15 dB) of power dividing ratio with a controlled voltage range of 3.3 to 13.5 V.

  • A NOVEL DUAL-BAND SIW FILTER WITH HIGH SELECTIVITY

    摘要: A novel dual-band substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) ?lter with multiple transmission zeros and good out-of-band rejection performance is presented in this paper. For this purpose, an orthogonal input/output (I/O) feeding structure directly connected to the substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity is designed to split the resonant frequencies of the degenerate pair of mode. The ?lter can be modeled with a multi-path circuit formed by three modes (TE101, TE201 and TE102 modes) and weak cross coupling between I/O ports, thereby producing three transmission zeros which make the dual-band high selectivity. The o?set of the input/output ports shifts the second transmission zero to a lower frequency from the upper passband. Several ?lter prototypes are designed and fabricated for demonstration, and the measured results validate the new structure for high selectivity applications.
