An Influence of the Module Structure on Reliability of Crystalline Silicon Solar Cells
摘要: To investigate the influence of the difference in module structures on the degradation of crystalline silicon solar cells, two different photovoltaic modules were fabricated, and a high-temperature and high-humidity test was carried out. The degradation modes of these modules were compared to each other using electrical characteristics and electroluminescence images. Degradation of outputs occurred in both modules, and different degradation modes were confirmed by electroluminescence images. The difference in degradation modes between these modular structures could be due to the difference in concentration distribution attributable to the moisture and acetic acid generated from the encapsulant inside the module.

摘要: Effective structural condition monitoring, and the action from it, is likely to result in significant economic savings from a better determination of structural integrity and use of the structure itself. It is also essential for the enhanced prediction of structural service lifetimes based on real-time measurement data obtained. Fiber optic-based sensors have shown real promise for structural condition monitoring, due to the attractive features they possess, such as small size, geometric versatility, multiplexing capability, and resistance to corrosive and hazardous environments. As a result, these sensors have been explored widely for monitoring a wide range of structural materials, including composites, concrete, limestones, carbon/aluminum, and metals (Scott et al., 2013; Sun et al., 2012; Nguyen et al., 2014; Kerrouche et al., 2009a), and the key parameters that have been measured include temperature, strain, vibration, relative humidity, pH, and chlorides, and so on.

摘要: In this study, we have investigated and screened the performance of our adhesive material that does not require an edge seal. This paper primarily focuses on the synergistic properties of PDMS and PIB via physical blending. The UV blocking nature of PDMS and the high adhesion and superior barrier property of PIB were considered. Our polymer blend also maintains the transparency in the visible range. This polymer blends were performed with several kinds of material characterizations such as morphology, hardness, thermal profiles, moisture ingress properties, and adhesion strength. This paper serves to provide discussions on preliminary evaluations for transparent PV module encapsulant.
