  • Nuevo enfoque para la localización óptima de reconectadores en sistemas de distribución considerando la calidad del servicio y los costos de inversión

    摘要: This article presents a new methodology for the optimal placement of reclosers on electric power distribution systems. The methodology simultaneously considers the installation of reclosers normally closed and open, in order to fault isolation and service restoration, respectively. The problem is described by a multi-objective mathematical model, where the first objective function minimizes the unserved energy level of the system (NENS) and the second one minimizes the investment costs of the project. The set of constraints considers operational criteria of the system. As a solution strategy the concept of operational areas is introduced, which reduce computational effort considering that the NENS by area remains constant. In the problem solution, a Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II (NSGA-II) is employed. The results show the validity of the proposed methodology and its applicability to real distribution systems.

  • Development of mathematical models and optimization of the process parameters of laser surface hardened EN25 steel using elitist non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm

    摘要: The ultimate goal of all production entities is to select the process parameters that would be of maximum strength, minimum wear and friction. The friction and wear are serious problems in most of the industries which are influenced by the working set of parameters, oxidation characteristics and mechanism involved in formation of wear. The experimental input parameters such as sliding distance, applied load, and temperature are utilized in finding out the optimized solution for achieving the desired output responses such as coefficient of friction, wear rate, and volume loss. The optimization is performed with the help of a novel method, Elitist Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm (NSGA-II) based on an evolutionary algorithm. The regression equations obtained using Response Surface Methodology (RSM) are used in determining the optimum process parameters. Further, the results achieved through desirability approach in RSM are compared with that of the optimized solution obtained through NSGA-II. The results conclude that proposed evolutionary technique is much effective and faster than the desirability approach.

  • Capacity allocation of hybrid solar-wind energy system based on discrete probabilistic method

    摘要: Complementary renewable energies like wind and solar power may be more su?cient to satisfy reliability requirements. This paper proposes a quantitative capacity allocation method of a hybrid wind and solar energy system. First, discrete probability distributions are established to model the random factors including the volatility of power outputs and the failure of components. Then a multiobjective optimization model is formulated with objectives of minimization of the total investment, the nodal voltages violating limits probability, and power supply inadequacy probability. For the purpose of fast probability computing with a satisfactory precision degree, an innovative probabilistic load ?ow algorithm is introduced, which deals with means and increments of random variables separately and uses cumulants as well as Gram{Charlier series to obtain probabilistic distributions of state variables. A modi?ed parallel elitist nondominated sorting genetic algorithm II is used to search the Pareto optimal con?guration solutions.
