Extraction of uncertain parameters of a single-diode model for a photovoltaic panel using lightning attachment procedure optimization
摘要: The aim of this work is to improve the estimation of parameters of solar photovoltaic models. An approach based on lightning attachment procedure optimization, which takes into account the uncertainties of measurements, is proposed. The approach includes three steps: the extraction of the parameters in a conventional manner, the determination of the partial uncertainties of all the parameters, and finally the determination of the instantaneous parameters based on the results of the first two steps. To validate the proposed theoretical developments, the approach is applied to four different photovoltaic parameter estimation problems. The results obtained are compared with those given by well-established algorithms to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method, revealing that the proposed method exhibits very effective performance with a root-mean-square error on the order of 1 × 10?17, compared with 1 × 10?4 for existing literature methods.

Robust Radial Velocity Estimation Based on Joint-Pixel Normalized Sample Covariance Matrix and Shift Vector for Moving Targets
摘要: The clutter suppression and target radial velocity estimation are essential in the ground moving target indication processing with multichannel synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems. In reality, the heterogeneous clutter, the image coregistration error, and channel mismatch will remarkably decline the estimation performance of the target radial velocity. To address these issues, a robust radial velocity estimation algorithm is proposed in this letter. Based on the joint-pixel signal model, the joint-pixel normalized sample covariance matrix (JPNSCM) is employed to mitigate the effect of heterogeneous clutter, and the shift vector determined by JPNSCM is used to obtain the actual target steering vector. Then, the adaptive matched ?ltering algorithm is adopted to estimate the target radial velocity. Compared with traditional estimation algorithms, the proposed method obtains better performance in both simulations and real SAR data experiments.

Quantum Fisher information of a two-level system controlled by non-Hermitian operation under depolarization
摘要: We investigated the dynamics of quantum Fisher information for a two-level system controlled by a non-Hermitian operation under the depolarization, and the non-Hermitian operation is described by a special Hamiltonian in which both the PT-symmetric zone and the PT-symmetry broken zone are considered. Our results show that the non-Hermitian operation can effectively control the evolutionary behavior of quantum Fisher information of the system. Especially, through a proper choice of the non-Hermiticity parameter combining with the optimal input state and a low depolarizing probability, quantum Fisher information of the system can be significantly increased by the non-Hermitian operation. According to the quantum Cramér–Rao inequality, the inverse of quantum Fisher information provides the lower bound of the error of the parameter estimation. Our investigation also shows that the non-Hermiticity in the operation which is performed on the initial state is robust against the depolarizing decoherence, and the precision of parameter estimation can be remarkably enhanced by applying an appropriate non-Hermitian operation.

A new metaphor-less algorithms for the photovoltaic cell parameter estimation
摘要: The performance of the solar photovoltaic (PV) system can be improved by an accurate modelling of the solar cells, but cell modelling is inaccurate due to the lack of precise solar cell parameters. To model a reliable solar PV cell, the required parameters will not be provided in the manufacturer’s datasheet. Therefore, it’s necessary to estimate the required parameters adequately. Thereby, with this observation, in this paper, proposed a simple multi-objective optimization algorithm to estimate the cell parameters. Various optimization algorithms address this issue; however, most of the algorithms produce suboptimal results due to local minima and premature convergence. So, this paper proposes two simple metaphor-less algorithms named as Rao-2 (R-II), and Rao-3 (R-III) algorithm to estimate the PV cell parameters. The performance of the proposed algorithms is compared with other well-known optimization algorithms to show the pro?ciency of the proposed algorithms. To validate the performance of the proposed algorithms, the estimated parameters are compared with experimental results, including statistical analysis. Moreover, from the results, it can be judged that the proposed algorithms are more suitable for the estimation of three types of solar PV models e?ectively.

Ultra-Short-Term Photovoltaic Power Prediction Based on Self-Attention Mechanism and Multi-Task Learning
摘要: This paper deals with methods for parameter estimation of two-mass mechanical systems in electric drives. Estimates of mechanical parameters are needed in the start-up of a drive for automatic tuning of model-based speed and position controllers. A discrete-time output error (OE) model is applied to parameter estimation. The resulting pulse-transfer function is transformed into a continuous-time transfer function, and parameters of the two-mass system model are analytically solved from the coefficients of this transfer function. An open-loop identification setup and two closed-speed-loop identification setups (direct and indirect) are designed and experimentally compared. The experiments are carried out at nonzero speed to reduce the effect of nonlinear friction phenomena on the parameter estimates. According to results, all three identification setups are applicable for the parameter estimation of two-mass mechanical systems.

Full-spectrum periodic nonlinear Fourier transform optical communication through solving the Riemann-Hilbert problem
摘要: An algorithm is proposed for the detection and joint estimation of target parameters for a radar with a two-element rotating antenna. Rotation of the antenna introduces unwanted effects, which may cause inaccuracy in the parameter estimation. Target detection is performed by adding the processed data from two sensors. Joint estimation of range, Doppler, and direction of arrival (DOA) is carried while compensating the effects of antenna rotation. The detection performance is analyzed in terms of the receiver operating characteristics. Analytical expressions of Cramer–Rao Bound for Doppler, the range and DOA are derived. Computational complexity is also discussed. A simulation demonstrates and veri?es the proposed algorithm and its analyses.

摘要: In this article, our goal is to improve the estimation of the parameters of solar photovoltaic models, we propose a method based on Simulated Annealing (SA) Optimization, the proposed algorithm takes into account the uncertainties of measurements. This algorithm consists of three steps such as the extraction of the parameters in a conventional manner, then the determination of the uncertainties of each parameter, finally the determination of the instantaneous parameters taking into account the results of the first two steps. For the validation of the proposed theoretical developments, the algorithm is applied to four different PV parameter estimation problems. The results obtained are compared with well-established algorithms to confirm its effectiveness. These comparisons have shown that the proposed method exhibits largely effective performances than existing methods in the literature.

Qubit-channel metrology with very noisy initial states
摘要: We consider an arbitrary qubit channel depending on a single parameter, which is to be estimated by a physical process. Using the quantum Fisher information per channel invocation to quantify the estimation accuracy, we consider various estimation protocols when the available initial states are mixed with very low purity r. We compare a protocol using a single channel invocation on one out of n qubits prepared in a particular correlated input state to the optimal protocol using uncorrelated input states, with the same initial-state purity. We show that, to lowest order in initial-state purity, for a unital channel this correlated-state protocol enhances the estimation accuracy by a factor between n ? 1 and n, provided that nr 2 (cid:2) 1. We also show that to lowest order in initial-state purity, a broad class of nonunital channels yields no gain regardless of the input state.

摘要: Models of biochemical reaction networks commonly contain a large number of parameters, while at the same time, there is only a limited amount of (noisy) data available for their estimation. As such, the values of many parameters are not well known as nominal parameter values have to be determined from the open scienti?c literature and a signi?cant number of the values may have been derived in different cell types or organisms than that which is modeled. There clearly is a need to estimate at least some of the parameter values from experimental data; however, the small amount of available data and the large number of parameters commonly found in these types of models require the use of regularization techniques to avoid over?tting. A tutorial of regularization techniques, including parameter set selection, precedes a case study of estimating parameters in a signal transduction network. Cross-validation results rather than ?tting results are presented to further emphasize the need for models that generalize well to new data instead of simply ?tting the current data.

Waveguide-input resonant tunnelling diode mixer for THz communications
摘要: This paper considers a group of drogues whose objective is to estimate the physical parameters that determine the dynamics of ocean nonlinear internal waves. Internal waves are important in oceanography because, as they travel, they are capable of displacing small animals, such as plankton, larva, and ?sh. These waves are described by models that employ trigonometric functions parameterized by a set of constants such as amplitude, wavenumber, and temporal frequency. While underwater, individual drogues do not have access to absolute position information and only rely on inter-drogue measurements. Building on this data and the study of the drogue dynamics under the ?ow induced by the internal wave, we design two strategies, referred to as the Vanishing Derivative Method and the Passing Wave Method, that are able to determine the wavenumber and the speed ratio. Either of these strategies can be employed in the Parameter Determination Strategy to determine all the remaining wave parameters. We analyze the correctness of the proposed strategies and discuss their robustness against different sources of error. Simulations illustrate the algorithm performance under noisy measurements as well as the effect of different initial drogue con?gurations.
