  • Solution-Processed Inorganic Perovskite Flexible Photodetectors with High Performance

    摘要: All inorganic CsPbI3-xBrx perovskites have been widely used in photodetectors due to their excellent optoelectronic properties and simple preparation processes. Here, high-performance flexible photodetectors based on inorganic CsPbI3-xBrx perovskites are demonstrated, which are achieved by a modified solution-processed method. When biased at a low voltage of 10 mV, the device yielded fast response speeds (90 μs /110 μs for CsPbI2Br PDs and 100 μs/140 μs for CsPbIBr2 PDs), a high on/off ratio of 104, and a high detectivity about 1012 Jones. Meanwhile, the devices showed outstanding environmental stability and mechanical flexibility. The periodic I-t curves had negligible fluctuation (< 5%) after storing in air atmosphere for 30 days or bending for 100 times. The results indicate that CsPbI3-xBrx perovskites have great potential in photodetection areas and pave the way to achieve high-performance flexible PDs.

  • A Fully Transparent, Flexible, Sensitive, and Visible-Blind Ultraviolet Sensor Based on Carbon Nanotube-Graphene Hybrid

    摘要: Transparent and flexible UV sensors have attracted considerable attention for use in portable/wearable optoelectronic systems. Although UV sensors based on photoactive nanomaterials have been reported for such applications, achieving full transparency and flexibility remains a challenge because they still rely on opaque or brittle electrodes. Here, a fully transparent, flexible, and highly sensitive UV sensor based on 1D carbon nanotubes (CNTs)–2D graphene hybrid is demonstrated. Under UV illumination, oxygen molecules on the CNT surfaces are desorbed by photoinduced plasmon energy, leading to a significant decrease in hole concentration, and correspondingly an increase in the electrical resistance of CNT. The combination of CNT and graphene minimizes the effect of contact resistance and facilitates effective charge transfer between them without potential barrier, resulting in a high photoresponse, which is 30 times as high as that of Au-electrode-based CNT sensor. Simultaneously, CNT–graphene UV sensor shows remarkable transparency (over 80% at 550 nm) and outstanding mechanical flexibility without any significant change in electrical resistance for 500 cycles at a bending radius of 5.5 mm. The integration of CNT–graphene hybrid onto flexible substrates through scalable microfabrication is expected to provide exciting opportunities for the development of high performance, optically and mechanically invisible optoelectronic devices.

As telecommunication satellite operators look to provide service to a variety of applications, minimise risk, maximize fill rate and efficiency, flexibility has become an increasing requirement. However, with flexibility comes additional complexities and challenges. This paper looks at the requirements that are now being asked of multi-beam antennas in terms of flexibility of resources, challenges in terms of design, analysis and testing and looks into example solutions that have been found in answering such challenges. As industry looks to advanced systems that include digital processors and digital beamforming such considerations will play an increasingly important role.
