  • Effect of O <sub/>2</sub> Flow Rate on Properties of Mn–SnO <sub/>2</sub> /Ag/Mn–SnO <sub/>2</sub> Multilayer Film

    摘要: Multilayer films with Mn–SnO2 (MTO)/Ag/Mn–SnO2 (MTO) hybrid structure were prepared on a flexible polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate using a DC/RF sputtering system at room temperature. The optical, electrical, and structural properties of the thus-synthesized multilayer films were systematically investigated as a function of the O2/(Ar + O2) flow rate. The transmittance of the MTO/Ag/MTO multilayer films at 550 nm increased gradually from 83.1% to 87.9% and the sheet resistance (Rs) of the multilayer films increased from 6.3 to 9.8 Ω/sq upon increasing the O2/(Ar + O2) flow rate. The highest figure of merit (ΦTC) of the MTO/Ag/MTO multilayer film was 45.7 × 10?3 Ω?1 at an O2/(Ar + O2) flow rate of 2.8%. X-ray photoelectron spectra of multilayer films obtained with different O2/(Ar + O2) flow rates showed no noticeable variation.

  • EXPRESS: Analysis of Natural Gas Using a Portable Hollow-Core Photonic-Crystal-Coupled Raman Spectrometer

    摘要: The low accessibility of natural gas fields and transporting pipelines requires portable online analyzers of the composition of natural gas, ensuring nearly chromatographic precision and capable of in situ analysis of a wide range of gases, including infrared-inactive ones (hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, chlorine). We have developed an express method of gas analysis meeting all requirements for the analysis of natural gas and its derivative mixtures using a portable 532 nm Raman spectrometer rigidly connected to a hollow-core crystal photonic fiber.

  • Laser-Plasma Accelerated Protons: Energy Increase in Gas-Mixtures Using High Mass Number Atomic Species

    摘要: The idea of using a gas-mixture comprising atoms with a high mass number in order to increase proton energies in laser induced plasma acceleration at critical density is investigated by means of 2D PIC (Particle-In-Cell) simulations. Comparing and discussing the case of a pure hydrogen plasma and that of a plasma containing higher mass number species with a small percentage of hydrogen, we demonstrate that the mixture enhances the energies of the accelerated protons. We also show that using a gas-mixture introduces the possibility of using the densities ratio in order to change the relative acceleration of the species.

  • Development of indium tin oxide stack layer using oxygen and argon gas mixture for crystalline silicon heterojunction solar cells

    摘要: Indium tin oxide (ITO) films were used as transparent conductive oxide (TCO) layers in crystalline silicon heterojunction (c-Si-HJ) solar cells. An ITO film was deposited by radio frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering with the oxygen-argon (O2–Ar) gas mixture. The increasing of the O2/Ar ratio in ITO film deposition resulted in the improvement of transmittance and short circuit current density (Jsc) of c-Si-HJ solar cells, while film electrical property, fill factor (FF) and efficiency (η) of the solar cell were decreased. The enhancement of the Jsc and FF caused by the ITO stack layer on the efficiency of the c-Si-HJ solar cell was investigated. The c-Si-HJ solar cells using an ITO stack layer have a high photovoltaic (PV) parameter compared to conventional ITO (Ar gas) and ITO (O2–Ar gas mixture) layer. By using an ITO stack layer for a c-Si-HJ solar cell, the efficiency achieved was as high as 18.4%. (Voc ? 702 mV, Jsc ? 34.8 mA/cm2, FF ? 0.75).

  • Role of Spectral Line Profile in Laser IR Analysis of Multicomponent Gas Mixtures

    摘要: Topical issues of the quantitative analysis of multicomponent gas mixtures with use of laser absorption infrared technologies are addressed. It is shown that a number of questions exist regarding the detection of pollutants using these technologies, and these concern not only the position of the center of the analytical line of the detected substance but also the shape of its profile, especially in case of strong intermolecular interactions under conditions of open atmosphere. A number of examples show various aspects of the influence of the error of the spectroscopic model embedded in the solution of the inverse problem (the width and shape of the laser spectral line and gas absorption lines) on the determination of gas concentrations. The parameters of the sensitivity and selectivity of laser gas analysis that support making the optimal choice of laser radiation frequencies for studying specific gas mixtures are discussed. The importance of the high monochromaticity of laser lines, the smooth tuning of the radiation frequency over a wide spectral range, and the adequate simulation of the IR spectra of multicomponent gas mixtures are demonstrated.

    摘要: The effect of a working gas medium containing argon, nitrogen and hydrogen in the range of 10-30% is investigated for nitriding in a glow discharge on the microstructure and microhardness of the surface layer of austenitic, martensitic and pearlitic steels. It is shown that when up to 15% of hydrogen is added to the working gas mixture, it is possible to increase the kinetics of growth of the modified layer in the austenite and martensitic steels almost two times. It is found that when the concentration of hydrogen in the gas mixture is above 15%, it leads to the formation of microcracks in the near-surface areas of high-alloy steels after treatment.

  • Algorithm for Processing and Analysis of Raman Spectra using Neural Networks

    摘要: The solution of the problem of processing of a large data set when analyzing Raman spectra of a gas mixture is considered. The algorithm is based on the artificial neural network. Conditions for the use of neural networks in solving practical problems of real-time analyzing spectra, including that for remote search for heavy hydrocarbons are determined. The algorithm speed is estimated using computer aids with sequential and parallel data processing.
