  • Smart controller for grid stabilization in the optoelectric system

    摘要: The power generated from the optoelectric source in the conversion system and the connected system should satisfy several factors such as high efficiency, less total harmonic distortion, reduced cost, less complexity, better boosting capability, etc. The boosting capability can be achieved by means of single juncture or two juncture architecture in DC–DC boost converter. Among different architecture, the Z-source riven bias inverter controls the parameter on the AC and DC sections. The steady state quantity and the time-varying parameter are regulated by controlling the intonation index. The modulation indexes are framed by digital to look at its supervision theme in grid coupled structure that has certainly not been studied so far. Hence, in this paper, the Z-source riven bias electrical converter modeling has been studied in conjunction with the decoupled space vector modulation as a control technique. The deliberate theme is studied and simulated by using a MATLAB/Simulink model to approve the analysis and simulations.

  • Modeling, numerical simulation, and nonlinear dynamic behavior analysis of PV microgrid-connected inverter with capacitance catastrophe

    摘要: The value of the output capacitance (C) should be carefully considered when designing a photovoltaic (PV) inverter since it can cause distortion in the working state of the circuit, and the circuit produces nonlinear dynamic behavior. According to Kirchhoff’s laws and the characteristics of an ideal operational amplifier for a strict piecewise linear state equation, a circuit simulation model is constructed to study the system parameters (time, C) for the current passing through an inductor with an inductance of L and the voltage across the capacitor with a capacitance of C. The developed simulation model uses Runge–Kutta methods to solve the state equations. This study focuses on predicting the fault of the circuit from the two aspects of the harmonic distortion and simulation results. Moreover, the presented model is also used to research the working state of the system in the case of a load capacitance catastrophe. The nonlinear dynamic behaviors in the inverter are simulated and verified.

    摘要: The aim of this work is to improve the black-box transistor’s behavior model when used for Doherty Power Amplifier (DPA) designs. A methodology is proposed to reinforce the model’s robustness when the transistor sees a dynamic load impedance modulation. This modeling approach uses a specific load impedance pattern needed for the model extraction. In addition, the choice of the nonlinear description order is optimized to reinforce the model convergence capabilities. A 10 W GaN Packaged Transistor operating in AB and C classes has been measured with a Nonlinear Vector Network Analyzer (NVNA) based Load Pull setup. These measurements have been used to extract the models in a seamless manner. Finally, different DPA architectures have been simulated in order to prove the model validity, reliability and robustness.

    摘要: This paper presents a novel high output power class H audio amplifier design with GaN transistors output stage. The design is implemented in 0.18-μm BCD process. Several design techniques to drive the GaN output stage and to improve the efficiency of the class H amplifier are introduced in this paper. The design consumes 706.3mW quiescent power and can deliver up to 37W peak output power to the load of 32Ω with the peak power efficiency of 87%. This design achieves the lowest THD+N ratio of -70.17dB.

    摘要: Nowadays the transformer-less photovoltaic (PV) grid connected inverter is more popular because of its higher efficiency, compact size and lower cost. The issue of leakage current is a technical challenge, which needs to be controlled carefully. Moreover, many inverter topologies have been proposed to proficient the inverter to control the reactive power to a certain point in order to maintain the power factor (PF) close to one. In case of solar PV system, voltage fluctuation and synchronization with the utility grid is the challenging issue. Therefore, in this paper a new transformer-less inverter is proposed consisting of four diodes and two IGBT switches called H2D4 topology. The proposed topology can overcome the issue of leakage current by maintaining the common mode (CM) voltage constant while maintain low total harmonic distortion (THD) and higher PF. Because of the minimum number of IGBT switches, the leakage current and the conduction loss decrease. Besides, the size of the system is also decreased. Additionally, voltage fluctuation and synchronization are controlled by a newly proposed voltage controlled closed loop system where duty ratio is controlled. The proposed topology and the existing neutral point clamped (NPC) and H6 topologies are simulated in MATLAB/Simulink software, to clarify the theoretical analysis. It is found that the voltage controller closed loop control system of H2D4 inverter topology more efficiently control the voltage fluctuation problems while maintaining a low current THD with higher efficiency and high PF as compared with the system without control topology.

    摘要: In past, the incandescent lamp (IL) which is resistive load is used. Its power factor is unity & current is harmonic free but it consumes more power & generate heat. Last few decades compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) is widely used as it has an advantage of less power consumption & longer life. Nowadays Light Emitting Diode (LED) is used and have less energy consumption as compared to others lamp. But it has very less power factor, even if CFL & LED have a less energy consumption. It has various disadvantages such as it produces harmonic current due to use of semiconductor based devices. As harmonic current passes through impedance, it causes voltage distortion & hence degrading the overall power quality. In this paper the focus is given to the measurement of various power quality parameters such as Total Power Consumption and Total Harmonic Distortion for Current (ITHD) and Voltage (VTHD), Power Factor, Harmonics. The fluke 435 Series II Power Quality Analyzer is used for analysing different lamps used for residential, commercial, industrial purpose. This distorted current is improved as well as harmonics can be reduced by using harmonic filter. But it involves additional cost & expenses. Power Quality can be improved by adding harmonic filter with circuitry in lamp. This can lead to the improvement in Power Quality of overall power system.

    摘要: The present paper deals with a standalone micro grid for rural electrification with multilevel converters powered by PV energy solar, with large range of solar irradiance. For countries of Sub-Saharan Africa, the developed systems must have aspects of robustness, reliability, very low maintenance and affordable costs. So, the use of multilevel converter in low and medium voltage can satisfy these criteria according to the following conditions: good voltage withstand and low losses for the power switches, low total harmonic distortion of output voltage. These properties allow optimally sizing PV solar panels, battery banks, passive elements for filters, and electrical features of power components.

    摘要: Transformer-less inverter is popular for grid-tied photovoltaic (PV) system due to low cost, smaller size and higher efficiency. However, one of the technical challenges, which need to be handled carefully, is the issue of leakage current. Moreover, an inverter must be capable of controlling the reactive power to a certain extend to maintain the power factor (PF) close to unity. Therefore, many inverter topologies have been proposed. In this paper, a new four diodes and two IGBT switch based H2D4-type highly efficient transformer-less inverter is proposed that can handle the issue of leakage current maintaining low total harmonic distortion (THD) and higher PF where the common mode (CM) voltage is maintained constant. As a result, the leakage current deceases and the conduction loss as well as size of the system is decreased due to minimum number of IGBT switches. Furthermore, two control systems are proposed to control the reactive power with desire PF. The comparison among proposed H2D4 topology and conventional neutral point clamped (NPC) and H6 topology have been analyzed in this paper. To validate the accuracy of the theoretical analysis, the compared topologies are simulated in MATLAB/Simulink software. It is found that the PLL and PI closed loop control based H2D4 inverter topology controls the reactive power maintaining a low current THD with higher efficiency and high PF as compared to the system with only PI control based topology.

    摘要: Photovoltaic (PV) systems are growing in demand due to the recent drop in prices of the solid state components. However, the quality of the output of the PV systems are still lacking behind and this is a major problem while connecting the system to the grid. Inverters being the brains of a solar PV system need to be made smarter and better. Multi-level inverters are one of the most popular types of inverters for grid-connected PV systems due to the higher quality output they can produce than other inverters. One of the key features they provide is the minimization of total harmonic distortion (THD) and electromagnetic interference which tackles leakage current issue. So, in this paper a new five-level inverter topology for grid-tie PV is proposed which is controlled using a new voltage controller that ensures higher efficiency while enhancing the stability of the system. The suggested closed loop voltage controller method additionally provides the ability to provide constant or adjustable voltage to the grid. In this proposed topology the voltage controller enables the PV system to provide high quality power to the grid which is vastly important. To validate the accuracy of the theoretical analysis, the control technique was applied to the existing multi-level inverter topology and then has been simulated in MATLAB/Simulink software. Moreover the five-level output provides a much better output and better PF then other existing topologies.
