Microencapsulation of energy conversion photochromic materials with epoxy resin shell by interfacial polymerization
摘要: In this study, a novel type of photochromic spirooxazine microcapsule was prepared by interfacial polymerization between epoxy resin and polyamine compound. The effects of different process parameters on the formation, microstructure and performance of microcapsules, such as curing reaction temperature, emulsification shear rate and the addition of silica nanoparticles were studied in this paper. The morphology, microstructure, diameter and distribution, as well as the thermal stability of microencapsulated photochromic spirooxazine were also investigated by field emission scanning electron microscope, laser particle size analyzer and thermogravimetric analysis systematically. In addition, the photochromic performance of microcapsule was studied as well.

Controlled transition of microcapsules from coil conformation to globule during the expansion of the pulse jet of nanoparticle suspension of TiO2 in supercritical (CO2) polyethylene glycol solution
摘要: The process of microencapsulation of titanium dioxide nanoparticles during the expansion of a supersonic jet of TiO2 suspension in a solution of polyethylene glycol (PEG 8000) in supercritical CO2 into a vacuum and background gas (helium) has been studied experimentally. The dependence of the position of the microcapsule transition point on the jet axis from the coil to a globular conformation on the temperature in the reactor and on the pressure of the background gas at different co-solvent concentrations has been established. A “coil?globule” re-entrant transition has been recorded at a greater distance from the nozzle exit than the point of collapse.

Swelling‐Deswelling Microencapsulation‐Enabled Ultrastable Perovskite?Polymer Composites for Photonic Applications
摘要: Metal halide perovskite nanocrystals are emerging as novel optoelectronic materials. Owing to their excellent optical and electronic properties such as tunable band gap, narrow-band emission and high charge mobility, they are quite promising in various fields including liquid-crystal display backlighting, solid-state lighting and other energy conversion applications. However, the intrinsic low formation energy makes them vulnerable to external stimulus, e. g. water, oxygen, heat, etc. Among many methods, swelling-deswelling microencapsulation emerges as one of the most promising strategies to improve their stability. Herein, recent developments and future research directions in swelling-deswelling microencapsulation-enabled ultrastable perovskite(cid:0) polymer composites are summarized. We believe this strategy has great potential to deliver successful perovskite-based commercial products for many photonics applications.
