摘要: In this paper, a hyperspectral feature extraction (FE) method called sparse and smooth low-rank analysis (SSLRA) is proposed. First, we propose a new low-rank model for hyperspectral images (HSIs). In the new model, HSI is decomposed into smooth and sparse unknown features which live in an unknown orthogonal subspace. Then, the sparse and smooth features are simultaneously estimated using a non-convex constrained penalized cost function. In the experiments, SSLRA is applied on a real HSI and the smooth features extracted are used for the HSI classification. The results confirm improvements in classification accuracies compared to state-of-the-art FE methods.

摘要: In this paper, ground deformation and source model of the 12 November 2017 Kermanshah Earthquake (border region between Iran and Iraq) are investigated by using ALOS-2 ScanSAR and Sentinel-1A/B TOPSAR co-seismic Differential Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (DInSAR) measurements. Geodetic inversion has been performed to constrain source parameters and invert slip distribution on the fault plane. Stress changes on the source fault and neighboring active faults around this area are estimated based on co-seismic deformation. The best-fit source model shows a reverse fault with a relative large right-lateral component, striking 353.5° NNW-SSE and dipping 16.3° NE. The maximum slip is up to 3.8m at 12-14km depth and the inferred seismic moment is 1.01×1020 Nm, corresponding to MW 7.3. The positive stress changes on the neighboring active faults indicate that this event may trigger other earthquakes on the Zagros Mountain Front Fault (MFF).

摘要: For airborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) processing in its diving stage, the diving velocity brings additional range variance to the range history in the synthetic aperture time. The traditional hyperbolic range model is not accurate enough to approximate the actual range equation and the precise two-dimensional spectrum cannot be achieved. In order to address this problem, a highly accurate spectrum deduction based on high-order equivalent range model is proposed in this paper. By introducing the high-order terms, more degrees-of-freedom are obtained for the equivalent range model and the actual range history can be accurately fitted. Based on the achieved range model, the two-dimensional spectrum for diving stage SAR can be accessed. Simulation experiments are carried out to validate the effectiveness of proposed spectrum.

Offshore Underwater Image Restoration Using Reflection-Decomposition-Based Transmission Map Estimation
摘要: A new restoration model for underwater images is presented, based on the dark channel reflection-illumination decomposition and local backscattering lighting estimation, to promote the clarity of edge detail and the colorfulness of the output image. For turbid offshore environments, a novel underwater image restoration method is further introduced by applying a statistical prior to the offshore attenuation coefficients. It is shown that the estimated transmission map with lighting-reflection decomposition, rather than dividing the dark channel by the maximal backscattering light as the other methods do, provides better clarity and color restoration. Detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis on hundreds of underwater images is performed, which demonstrates that the proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art algorithms on the images taken in offshore water characterized by a heavy concentration of colored dissolved organic matter and total suspended matter, and is suitable for fast underwater processing.

Humidity sensing properties of metal organic framework-derived hollow ball-like TiO2 coated QCM sensor
摘要: This paper demonstrates three kinds of TiO2 with hollow ball, nanosphere, and nanoflower nanostructures coated quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) humidity sensors, which were synthesized by metal organic framework (MOF)-derived, hydrothermal and solvothermal route, respectively. The compositional and morphological characteristics of three kinds of TiO2 nanostructures were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), specific surface area analysis (BET), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and water contact angle measurement. We found that the surface structure plays a crucial role in the humidity-sensing response properties of QCM sensors. The humidity sensing experiment was performed at room temperature. The MOF-derived hollow ball-like TiO2 coated QCM sensor exhibited excellent humidity sensing characteristics over a wide RH range (0%-97%RH), such as high sensitivity (33.8 Hz/%RH), good repeatability and short dynamic response/recovery times (5 s/2 s). In addition, Langmuir adsorption model was developed to explain the humidity-sensing properties of the TiO2-based QCM sensor. This work proves that MOF-derived hollow-ball TiO2 is a potential candidate nanomaterial for humidity sensor fabrication.

摘要: This paper deals with the reduction of the switching energy losses of a SiC transistor by boosting its gate current. Notoriously, wide band-gap semiconductor transistors exhibit very fast switching performances, which provoke undesirables oscillations at high frequencies. An auxiliary circuit, located at the semiconductor device terminals, is developed to limit the electrical stresses, deleterious for the transistor integrity, and to reduce the EMC conducted interferences without modifying the current and voltage slopes during the switching transition. Firstly, the SiC MosFET is characterized on SABER environment from MosFET template available on the library. The behavior of the obtained model is compared with Model Architect tool, available in the same environment. Experimental tests are carried out and confirm the behaviors predicted by simulation. The obtained results underlines the good accuracy and the merits of the simulation model developed in this work, despite the use of the power transistor in a complex configuration.

Global Solar Radiation Prediction Using Hybrid Online Sequential Extreme Learning Machine Model
摘要: Accurate global solar radiation prediction is highly essential for related research on renewable energy sources. The cost implication and measurement expertise of global solar radiation emphasize that intelligence prediction models need to be applied. On the basis of long-term measured daily solar radiation data, this study uses a novel regularized online sequential extreme learning machine, integrated with variable forgetting factor (FOS-ELM), to predict global solar radiation at Bur Dedougou, in the Burkina Faso region. Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC) is applied to build the seven input combinations based on speed (Wspeed), maximum and minimum temperature (Tmax and Tmin), maximum and minimum humidity (Hmax and Hmin), evaporation (Eo) and vapor pressure deficiency (VPD). For the difference input parameters magnitudes, seven models were developed and evaluated for the optimal input combination. Various statistical indicators were computed for the prediction accuracy examination. The experimental results of the applied FOS-ELM model demonstrated a reliable prediction accuracy against the classical extreme learning machine (ELM) model for daily global solar radiation simulation. In fact, compared to classical ELM, the FOS-ELM model reported an enhancement in the root mean square error (RMSE) and mean absolute error (MAE) by (68.8–79.8%). In summary, the results clearly confirm the effectiveness of the FOS-ELM model, owing to the fixed internal tuning parameters.

Regional Manufacturing Cost Structures and Supply Chain Considerations for SiC Power Electronics in Medium Voltage Motor Drives
摘要: With the growth in wide bandgap (WBG) semiconductors, specifically Silicon Carbide (SiC), the technology has matured enough to highlight a need to understand the drivers of manufacturing cost, regional manufacturing costs, and plant location decisions. Further, ongoing research and investment, necessitates analytical analysis to help inform development of wide bandgap technologies. The paper explores the anticipated device, module, and motor drive cost at volume manufacturing. It additionally outlines the current regional contributors to the supply chain and proposes how the base models can be used to evaluate the cost reduction potential of proposed research advances.

Single Image Defogging Based on Illumination Decomposition for Visual Maritime Surveillance
摘要: Single image fog removal is important for surveillance applications and many defogging methods have been proposed, recently. Due to the adverse atmospheric conditions, the scattering properties of foggy images depend on not only the depth information of scene, but also the atmospheric aerosol model, which has more prominent influence on illumination in a fog scene than that in a haze scene. However, recent defogging methods confuse haze and fog, and they fail to consider fully about the scattering properties. Thus, these methods are not sufficient to remove fog effects, especially for images in maritime surveillance. Therefore, this paper proposes a single image defogging method for visual maritime surveillance. Firstly, a comprehensive scattering model is proposed to formulate a fog image in the glow-shaped environmental illumination. Then, an illumination decomposition algorithm is proposed to eliminate the glow effect on the airlight radiance and recover a fog layer, in which objects at the infinite distance have uniform luminance. Secondly, a transmission-map estimation based on the non-local haze-lines prior is utilized to constrain the transmission map into a reasonable range for the input fog image. Finally, the proposed illumination compensation algorithm enables the defogging image to preserve the natural illumination information of the input image. In addition, a fog image dataset is established for visual maritime surveillance. The experimental results based on the established dataset demonstrate that the proposed method can outperform the state-of-the-art methods in terms of both the subjective and objective evaluation criteria. Moreover, the proposed method can effectively remove fog and maintain naturalness for fog images.

摘要: Hydrological change in peatlands due to anthropogenic disturbance and global warming can release enormous amounts of greenhouse gas emissions. Passive microwave satellite observations are an opportunity to globally monitor these changes. Abundant static and dynamic open water surfaces in peatlands strongly affect observed brightness temperatures (Tb). Here, we account for these contributions in radiative transfer modeling using NASA's Goddard Earth Observing System Model version 5 (GEOS-5) static open water mask and, for the dynamic open water fraction, the simulated inundated area using a version of the GEOS-5 Catchment land surface model that has been modified for peatland areas (PEAT-CLSM). Modeled Tb is compared against two years of SMAP L-band Tb. Preliminary results indicate: (i) a bias reduction when including the static open water fraction in a simple RTM mixing model, and (ii) significantly improved correlation between modeled and observed Tb when using land surface output from PEAT-CLSM instead of the operational CLSM.
