An atmospheric refractivity inversion method based on deep learning
摘要: An atmospheric refractivity inversion method based on deep learning is introduced. Atmospheric duct is an anomalous phenomenon of electromagnetic waves in the atmosphere that affects the use of radio equipment, obtaining real-time atmospheric duct information is of great significance for ship communication, navigation and radar detection. In order to achieve a real-time inversion system, a multilayer perceptron (MLP), a quintessential deep learning model is chosen as the inversion method. After trial-and-error, a five-hidden-layer MLP with rectified linear unit activation function is chosen. Since refractivity inversion is a regression problem, the mean-squared error is utilized to construct the loss function, and the adaptive moment estimation (Adam) algorithm is chosen to accelerate the training convergence. A pregenerated database is used to train the MLP, and thus invert the refractivity profile. The results demonstrate the feasibility and efficiency of this MLP-based inversion method.

摘要: The performance of four different transparent monopole antennas made from an ultrathin copper film, an ITO film, an ITO/Cu/ITO multilayer, a micrometric mesh silver film, and printed onto glass substrates is investigated. Optical transparency in the visible light spectrum, sheet resistance and microwave performance at 850 MHz of such samples are measured, compared and discussed. The micrometric mesh silver monopole antenna exhibits the best characteristics: a high level of optical transparency (higher than 80%) coupled to a sheet resistance as low as 0.054 Q/sq with a gain equal to 2.24 dBi at 850 MHz, very close to that of the reference and opaque counterpart (2.29 dBi) made of a continuous silver layer.

Structural and Photoluminescence Properties of nc-SiOx:H/a-SiOx:H Multilayer Films Deposited at Low Temperature by VHF-PECVD Technique
摘要: Hydrogenated nanocrystalline silicon oxide/hydrogenated amorphous silicon oxide (nc-SiOx:H/a-SiOx:H) multilayer films were fabricated using very-high-frequency plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (VHF-PECVD) technique by alternate deposition of nc-SiOx:H and a-SiOx:H at a low substrate temperature of 220 °C. The effects of the amount of oxygen incorporation in the nc-SiOx:H sublayers on the structural and photoluminescence (PL) properties of nc-SiOx:H/a-SiOx:H multilayer films were investigated by transmission electron microscopy, Raman scattering, UV–VIS-NIR absorption spectra, steady and time-resolved PL spectra. As the amount of oxygen incorporation increases, the crystalline volume fraction of multilayer films decreases, while the intermediate-range order of multilayer films firstly increases and then decreases. Strong room temperature PL has been observed in the multilayer films and the correlation between structural and PL properties is discussed. This low-temperature procedure for fabricating nc-SiOx:H/a-SiOx:H multilayer films can provide powerful impetus for the further development of optoelectronic devices based on Si-NCs.

摘要: Highly integrated multilayered patch antenna arrays are proposed in this paper for 60 GHz wireless communications. Electromagnetic coupling between two stacked patches is used for improving the broadband performance. Three different structures of single column 4-element arrays are presented with center and corporate feeding networks. Maximum gain of 12.2 dBi and <-10 dB return loss in the entire unlicensed frequency band 57-66 GHz is measured. Furthermore, a compact 4x16 antenna array (41 mm x 13 mm) is presented with 18.7 dBi maximum gain, 8 GHz (57-65) bandwidth and 7? HPBW (half power beam width) in H plane.

摘要: We demonstrate the gigabit-per-second transmission over a step-index plastic optical fiber (SI-POF) of 10-m length with a pulse-amplitude modulation (PAM). A multilayer perceptron-based equalizer is used to mitigate an intersymbol interference and non-linearity in the system. Using this equalizer with 32-PAM, a data rate of 10 Gb/s is achieved over the 10-m SI-POF at a bit error rate of 10?2, which is below the 20% forward error correction limit.

Multilayer Balanced-to-Unbalanced Power Divider with Wideband Transmission Characteristic and Common-Mode Suppression
摘要: This paper presents a wideband multilayer balanced-to-unbalanced (BTUB) power divider consisting of three metallic layers with two substrate layers for inherent common-mode suppression. With very simple structure, the working mechanism of the proposed power divider is investigated through even- and odd-mode equivalent circuit analysis, and the designed procedure is also summarized. For demonstration, an example of wideband BTUB power divider is implemented through standard printed circuit board process. The bandwidth of 63% of the fabricated BTUB power divider can be obtained with the best differential-mode transmission coefficient of -3.45 dB. The isolation bandwidth of approximately 63% can also be achieved. Good agreement between the simulated and measured results is observed, where the measured -15 dB common-mode suppression bandwidth is about 95%. Besides, the performance is stable after adding the shielding cavity.

Design and Validation of Flexible Multilayer Frequency Selective Surface with Transmission Zeros
摘要: The design, analysis and validation of a flexible multilayer frequency selective surface (MFSS) with two transmission zeros at the upper side of the passband is presented. The multilayer FSS unit cell is composed of two metallic quasi-Jerusalem-cross patterns on the top and the bottom layers, a metallic slot coupling aperture on the middle layer, and two flexible polyimide-teflon supported substrates. The equivalent circuit is derived to explain the principle of transmission poles and zeros. This MFSS exhibits good resonance stability for different polarization and incident angles. A prototype flexible MFSS centered at 21.6 GHz is fabricated and measured, which shows an insertion loss of 1.3 dB and a fractional bandwidth of 15.7%. The stable performances of the MFSS at oblique incidences and under different bent conditions for TE and TM polarization are demonstrated as well.

Fourier Optics of Fractal Structures
摘要: The scaling characteristics of Fourier spectra of fractal structures are determined. Their stability and influence on cognitive processes associated in particular with the aesthetic aspects of perceiving objects with self-similarity criteria are estimated. Evidence of their heuristic importance for Fourier analysis results is presented using an example in which the properties of aperiodic multilayer structures and chaotic processes are considered.

Preparation of ZnO Nanoparticles Under Ultrasonic Irradiation and Photocatalytic Performance of ZnO Nanoparticles Multilayer Films
摘要: Zinc oxide nanoparticles were synthesized by the reaction of an aqueous-alcoholic solution containing zinc nitrate hexahydrate and sodium hydroxide under ultrasonic irradiation at room temperature. The crystallinity, morphology and optical property of ZnO nanoparticles were examined by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and UV-visible spectrophotometer. Zinc oxide nanoparticles multilayer films were prepared dipping glass slide, which had been cleaned with a piranha solution, into a ZnO solution by ultrasonic irradiation. The ZnO nanoparticles multilayer films were evaluated as a photocatalyst in the photocatalytic degradation of organic dyes, such as methylene blue, methyl orange and rhodamine B, under ultraviolet light at 254 nm.

Probing Distinctive Electron Conduction in Multilayer Rhenium Disulfide
摘要: Charge carrier transport in multilayer van der Waals (vdW) materials, which comprise multiple conducting layers, is well described using Thomas–Fermi charge screening (λTF) and interlayer resistance (Rint). When both effects occur in carrier transport, a channel centroid migrates along the c-axis according to a vertical electrostatic force, causing redistribution of the conduction centroid in a multilayer system, unlike a conventional bulk material. Thus far, numerous unique properties of vdW materials are discovered, but direct evidence for distinctive charge transport behavior in 2D layered materials is not demonstrated. Herein, the distinctive electron conduction features are reported in a multilayer rhenium disulfide (ReS2), which provides decoupled vdW interaction between adjacent layers and much high interlayer resistivity in comparison with other transition-metal dichalcogenides materials. The existence of two plateaus in its transconductance curve clearly reveals the relocation of conduction paths with respect to the top and bottom surfaces, which is rationalized by a theoretical resistor network model by accounting of λTF and Rint coupling. The effective tunneling distance probed via low-frequency noise spectroscopy further supports the shift of electron conduction channel along the thickness of ReS2.
