  • Composition, Morphology, Structure and Photocatalytic Performances of Photocatalysts Prepared from Titanium Potassium Oxalate

    摘要: In this work, different products were synthesized using potassium titanium oxalate as the precursor when the reaction conditions varied. The influences of reaction system conditions on the formation features, particle size, phase composition, morphology and properties of the products were investigated and discussed. The XRD and SEM results indicated that TiO2 with different morphology and particle size were prepared by a hydrothermal treatment of the reaction system including HCl and H2O2 solution, and its degradation rate reached 100% after 100 min under UV irradiation. However, under the conditions without H2O2, a new product C2O7Ti2·3H2O with a large crystal of hexagonal prism was synthesized. Photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange (MO) indicated that C2O7Ti2·3H2O exhibited high photocatalytic activity. And the results of the active species detection show that ?O2? was the main reactive species for MO degradation. The formation mechanism of the product prepared by different reaction system was also discussed.

  • The structure of PA-Se-S-Cd composite materials probed with FTIR spectroscopy

    摘要: Composite organic-inorganic functional materials are of significant importance in various applications of science and technology. In this work, PA-Se-S and PA-Se-S-Cd composite materials obtained by employing the sorption-diffusion method are discussed. A single precursor – K2SeS2O6 – was used as the source of both sulfur and selenium. In the aqueous solution, SeS2O6 2? and its decomposition products diffused into the polymer where they reacted with Cd2+ ions so that to form cadmium chalcogenide particles. Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy was used to characterize the interactions between polyamide 6 and inorganic constituents, namely, K2SeS2O6, CdS and CdSe. The spectral behavior of amide I, II, A and B bands evidenced the competing formation of complex bonding structures based on the formation of covalent, electrostatic and hydrogen bonding between the PA 6 amide (NHCO) groups and the inorganic constituents. The number and the type of the formed bonds depend on the polyamide 6 exposure time in the K2SeS2O6 precursor solution. Such a complex interaction induces obvious conformational changes of the polyamide 6 chains. A possible bonding mechanism has been proposed to explain the observed spectral phenomena.

  • Using polarization control plate to suppress transverse stimulated Raman scattering in large-aperture KDP crystal

    摘要: Transverse stimulated Raman scattering (TSRS) is strongly generated in the third-harmonic-generation crystal potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP) and can even damage the KDP crystal in inertial confinement fusion drivers. In this work, a method to suppress TSRS is proposed in which the polarization control plate (PCP) is moved to a new position in the existing optical path. The proposed method can suppress TSRS significantly and doubles the laser threshold intensity in KDP crystal when the order of the PCP is 16. This result is attributed to the reduction of the gain length for the Stokes radiation. The proposed method may also be used to suppress other nonlinear effects, including transverse stimulated Brillouin scattering in large-aperture optical components.

  • Ammonium Persulfate and Potassium Oleate Containing Silica Dispersions for Chemical Mechanical Polishing for Cobalt Interconnect Applications

    摘要: We investigated the suitability of ammonium persulfate (APS) and potassium oleate (PO) containing silica dispersions for polishing Co interconnects based on removal and dissolution rates, corrosion, post-polish surface quality, and post-polish particle contamination. A slurry consisting of 3 wt% silica, 1 wt% APS and 0.2 mM PO produced a removal rate of ~465 nm/min at pH 9, along with removal rate selectivity of >100:1 between Co and TiN. The same composition but without abrasives reduced the (cid:2)Ecorr between Co and TiN to ~ 7 mV and Igc to ~0.04 μAcm?2, indicating minimal galvanic corrosion. Addition of PO led to no measurable dissolution of the Co ?lms. Surface analysis showed very good post-polish surface quality and minimal contamination with silica particles. These and results obtained with similar H2O2 containing slurries suggest that the APS and PO-based silica slurry is more suitable for the Co bulk CMP process. The roles of persulfates ions, pH, and PO on the removal process and passivation behavior of Co are discussed and a removal mechanism is proposed.

  • Spectrophotometic Determination of Trace Zinc in Milk Powder by Ethyl Rhodamine B

    摘要: In the presence of the surfactant gum Arabic, the Zn(II)-SCN–-ERB (ERB = ethyl rhodamine-B) ternary chromogenic reaction system was studied. The results showed that, in the acetic acid-sodium acetate medium of pH 5.0, Zn(II)-SCN–-ERB forms a rose red complex of 1:4:2 at room temperature. The complex has a maximum absorption wavelength of 625 nm, a zinc content of 0.16-8.00 μg/25 mL conforming to the Lambert-Beer’s law, a molar absorption coefficient ε625 of 1.02 × 105 L mol-1 cm-1 and a detection limit of 0.045 μg/25 mL. Using this method to determine the trace zinc in milk powder, the relative standard deviation is less than 2 % and the results are satisfactory.

  • Modern Purification Methods for Liquid Scintillators Intended for Recording Rare Events

    摘要: Chromato-mass-spectrometry and UV/VIS spectroscopy are used to study the composition and properties of linear alkyl benzene (LAB) produced in Russia as the basic solvent for production of low-background liquid scintillators. The efficiency of LAB purification by reducing intrinsic radioactivity (U, Th) via water extraction (with addition of a strong chelate, dimethylaminomethylendiphosphonic acid) and sorption on Al2O3 in silica gel is studied. The purification method for removing potassium from scintillation fluors (PPO, BPO, p-terphenyl) is developed. It is shown that U and Th can be efficiently extracted from NdCl3 water solutions with 0.1 M TOPO solution in pseudocumene.
