  • Probabilistic Short-Circuit Current in Active Distribution Networks Considering Low Voltage Ride-Through of Photovoltaic Generation

    摘要: The probabilistic short-circuit current (PSCC) of photovoltaic generation is determined by the voltage sag at the grid connection and the low voltage ride-through of the unit during the grid fault, while the voltage sag and the low voltage ride-through are both stochastic. According to short-circuit current characteristics and Thevenin equivalent circuit in the transient state, this paper analyzes the changing trajectory of the equivalent internal potential of photovoltaic generation during the period of low voltage ride-through. To deal with the uncertainty of low voltage ride-through, the probability density function by the maximum entropy method is used to characterize the stochastic process of low voltage disconnection of photovoltaic generation. Based on the fault information, the calculation method of PSCC in active distribution network considering the uncertainty of low voltage ride-through of photovoltaic generation is proposed. Two cases of 9-node and 34-node distribution network are used to verify the effectiveness of the method. The obtained PSCC results can reasonably re?ect the actual short-circuit current level of the active distribution network.

    摘要: A solar photovoltaic plant model using MATLAB Simulink has been developed and presented in this paper. One solar module is first simulated, followed by a string of series connected modules and an array of parallel connected strings. These were initially simulated under standard testing conditions (STC) i.e. cell temperature of 25 oC and irradiance level of 1000 W/m2. Furthermore, the plant was subjected to different ambient conditions, aimed at studying its I-V and P-V characteristics. Solar irradiance and temperature were varied and the dependency of the plant to each parameter is observed. The plant is then simulated using real data for Upington, South Africa. The paper further highlights future work which will be a continuation of the work presented in this paper.

    摘要: In Kazakhstan, a number of measures have been taken to stimulate the introduction of renewable energy, one of which is solar energy [1], [2]. Until 2025, the introduction of solar power plants (SPP) will be 650 MW. When integrating solar panels with inverter coupling into electrical networks, a number of difficulties arise related to the stability of the voltage in transient modes. The converter voltage inverters do not have feedback from the voltage of the external power supply system. Power generation of SPP, as a rule, is only a function of solar radiation and does not depend on the network parameters [3]. In this regard, the actual issue is the introduction of adaptive controllers for controlling inverters, depending on the change in the mode parameters [4], [5]. In this paper, we present the results of studies on the modeling of transient regimes using the example of the SPP with an installed capacity of 2 MW. The virtual model of the PSCad analyzed the stability of the voltage in the event of a short circuit on the 10 kV bus, algorithms and mechanisms for using the intelligent controller for controlling the photovoltaic system were developed.
