[IEEE IGARSS 2018 - 2018 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium - Valencia, Spain (2018.7.22-2018.7.27)] IGARSS 2018 - 2018 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium - Star Image Simulation and Subpixel Centroiding for an Earth Observing Sensor
摘要: In this paper, a novel solution is introduced for accurate sub-pixel star centroiding of the focused geostationary Earth observing sensor on a three-axis stabilized satellite. A small 2-dimensional array is utilized to better capture the star spot than the linear array of detectors. The popular center of mass method is used to compute star centroid in a single frame. Then the subpixel accuracy of star centroiding can be improved by fitting the linear trajectory of the observed star according to exact imaging time produced from time awarding system of the satellite. Experimental results on simulated star images in various conditions validate the effectiveness and robustness of our star centroiding method.

An approach to spin-resolved molecular gas microscopy
摘要: Ultracold polar molecules are an ideal platform for studying many-body physics with long-range dipolar interactions. Experiments in this field have progressed enormously, and several groups are pursuing advanced apparatus for manipulation of molecules with electric fields as well as single-atom-resolved in situ detection. Such detection has become ubiquitous for atoms in optical lattices and tweezer arrays, but has yet to be demonstrated for ultracold polar molecules. Here we present a proposal for the implementation of site-resolved microscopy for polar molecules, and specifically discuss a technique for spin-resolved molecular detection. We use numerical simulation of spin dynamics of lattice-confined polar molecules to show how such a scheme would be of utility in a spin-diffusion experiment.

Bohmian trajectory-bloch wave approach to dynamical simulation of electron diffraction in crystal
摘要: The Bohmian trajectory method is employed to study electron diffraction in crystalline materials. It provides a fresh understanding of the process of electron diffraction, including traveling channels of electrons and formation of diffraction patterns. By combining it with the Bloch wave method, the electron trajectories can be calculated more efficiently than the traditional wave-packet propagation algorithm. Meanwhile, we propose a momentum expectation approach which is a good approximation method with even higher computational efficiency. Both methods result in intuitive and accurate electron trajectories for the simulation of the electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) pattern. Excellent agreement has been obtained between the simulated trajectory distributions and the experimental EBSD pattern from Mo (001) at 20 kV, where the Kikuchi patterns and higher order Laue zone rings are characterized.

[Micro/Nano Technologies] Micro and Nano Fabrication Technology Volume 1 || Precision Molding of Microstructures on Chalcogenide Glass for Infrared Optics
摘要: Chalcogenide glass (ChG), as an alternative material in place of single-crystal germanium, is increasingly used in thermal imaging, night vision, and infrared guidance systems, etc., and microstructure array on the infrared component is widely used in micro-optical systems owing to their excellent formability through precision glass molding (PGM), which can achieve low cost and high efficiency compared with other microstructural manufacturing technologies. To describe the thermomechanical properties of ChG, the viscoelastic constitutive of ChG is modeled and used in finite element simulation to study the influence of process parameters on the forming stress. The processing parameters are studied to reduce the occurrence of microdimples and optimize the molding conditions. Finally, microstructure arrays are molded using spherical ChG preform and the optimal molding materials are identified.

A Model on Heat Signal of Crystal Detector at Low Temperature
摘要: We present a model to calculate heat signal shapes from low-temperature bolometer attached to a crystal. This model is based on the elementary acoustic wave theory at low temperature and has been developed using modern Monte Carlo techniques. Physical processes in phonon propagation, such as transmission, scattering and re?ection are considered. Using our model, the calculated time dependence of signal agrees with real experimental data. This model has applications in low-temperature rare event particle detectors for dark matter and neutrinos.

Equi-biaxial compressive strain in graphene: Grüneisen parameter and buckling ridges
摘要: Here we report equi-biaxial compressive strain in monolayer graphene on SiO2 and Si3N4 substrates induced by thermal cycling in vacuum. The equi-biaxial strain is attributed to the mismatch in coefficient of thermal expansion between graphene and the substrate and sliding of graphene on the substrate. Importantly, the induced buckling ridges in graphene exhibit a pattern representing the symmetry of graphene crystal structure, which agreed well with our molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. Furthermore, these thermally-induced buckling ridges were found reminiscent of those in graphene synthesized by the CVD and SiC sublimation methods, suggesting the same origin of formation of the buckling ridges.

摘要: A Schottky diode of Gold (Au)/ ZnO is simulated using an open source TCAD device simulator (Minimos-NT) and the effect of different device models on the electrical characteristics of ZnO Schottky diode have been studied. The simulated electrical characterization experimental results reported in [1] and the reasons for discrepancy in the results have been addressed. For effective simulation, material parameters of ZnO collected from literature published in various research papers and magazine articles were supplied to the software. Hence, development of a complete database of ZnO parameters was also aimed which will assist in future simulations of the said material.

The Study on Magnetization Reversal of Stripe-Domain Structure in Ni Wires Fabricated on a LiNbO? Substrate
摘要: We investigated the magnetization reversal process of Ni wires fabricated on a single-crystal Y-cut 128° LiNbO3 substrate using magnetoresistance measurement, Kerr microscopy, and micromagnetic simulation. Our study reveals the stripe-domain structure, which is originated by the competition between the shape magnetic anisotropy and additional magnetic anisotropy induced by the heterojunction, allows us to provide a pinning necessary to control the domain-wall displacement.
