  • Photocatalytic hydrogen production by biomimetic indium sulfide using Mimosa pudica leaves as template

    摘要: Biomimetic sulfur-deficient indium sulfide (In2.77S4) was synthesized by a template-assisted hydrothermal method using leaves of Mimosa pudica as a template for the first time. The effect of this template in modifying the morphology of the semiconductor particles was determined by physicochemical characterization, revealing an increase in surface area, decrease in microsphere size and pore size and an increase in pore volume density in samples synthesized with the template. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis showed the presence of organic sulfur (S-O/S-C/S-H) and sulfur oxide species (eSO2, SO3^2-, SO4^2-) at the surface of the indium sulfide in samples synthesized with the template. Biomimetic indium sulfide also showed significant amounts of Fe introduced as a contaminant present on the Mimosa pudica leaves. The presence of these sulfur and iron species favors the photocatalytic activity for hydrogen production by their acting as a sacrificial reagent and promoting water oxidation on the surface of the templated particles, respectively. The photocatalytic hydrogen production rates over optimally-prepared biomimetic indium sulfide and indium sulfide synthesized without the organic template were 73 and 22 mmol g^-1 h^-1, respectively, indicating an improvement by a factor of three in the templated sample.

  • Influence of polymeric template impurities on photocatalytic properties of bulk macroporous TiO2 under visible light irradiation in the gas phase oxidation of acetone

    摘要: Macroporous oxides are often prepared by template method with polymeric spheres, however, these polymeric spheres synthesized by emulsion polymerization using different initiators, most commonly contain S or/and N chemical residues. We have found that these template-originated impurities are not completely removed after thermal treatment of composites at ~ 500 °C, thus, influencing surface acidic properties and photocatalytic performance of the catalysts. The research is focused on the influence of different types of chemical residues left after incomplete polymer elimination on photocatalytic activity.

  • Template‐Assisted Formation of High‐Quality α‐Phase HC(NH <sub/>2</sub> ) <sub/>2</sub> PbI <sub/>3</sub> Perovskite Solar Cells

    摘要: Formamidinium (FA) lead halide (α-FAPbI3) perovskites are promising materials for photovoltaic applications because of their excellent light harvesting capability (absorption edge 840 nm) and long carrier diffusion length. However, it is extremely difficult to prepare a pure α-FAPbI3 phase because of its easy transformation into a nondesirable δ-FAPbI3 phase. In the present study, a “perovskite” template (MAPbI3-FAI-PbI2-DMSO) structure is used to avoid and suppress the formation of δ-FAPbI3 phases. The perovskite structure is formed via postdeposition involving the treatment of colloidal MAI-PbI2-DMSO film with FAI before annealing. In situ X-ray diffraction in vacuum shows no detectable δ-FAPbI3 phase during the whole synthesis process when the sample is annealed from 100 to 180 °C. This method is found to reduce defects at grain boundaries and enhance the film quality as determined by means of photoluminescence mapping and Kelvin probe force microscopy. The perovskite solar cells (PSCs) fabricated by this method demonstrate a much-enhanced short-circuit current density (Jsc) of 24.99 mA cm?2 and a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 21.24%, which is the highest efficiency reported for pure FAPbI3, with great stability under 800 h of thermal ageing and 500 h of light soaking in nitrogen.

  • Concurrent Zinc-Blende and Wurtzite Film Formation by Selection of Confined Growth Planes

    摘要: Recent research on nanowires (NWs) demonstrated the ability of III-V semiconductors to adopt a different crystallographic phase when they are grown as nanostructures, giving rise to a novel class of materials with unique properties. Controlling the crystal structure however remains difficult and the geometrical constraints of NWs cause integration challenges for advanced devices. Here, we report for the first time on the phase-controlled growth of micron-sized planar InP films by selecting confined growth planes during template-assisted selective epitaxy. We demonstrate this by varying the orientation of predefined templates, which results in concurrent formation of zinc-blende (ZB) and wurtzite (WZ) material exhibiting phase purities of 100% and 97%, respectively. Optical characterization revealed a 70 meV higher band gap and a 2.5x lower lifetime for WZ InP in comparison to its natural ZB phase. Further, a model for the transition of the crystal structure is presented based on the observed growth facets and the bonding configuration of InP surfaces.

  • Organic nanostructure sensing layer developed by AAO template for the application in humidity sensors

    摘要: The present study demonstrates a novel nanoporous structure of aluminium 1,8,15,22-tetrakis 29H,31H phthalocyanine chloride (AlPcCl) prepared by template-assisted method for a humidity sensor. The nanoporous sensing layer was fabricated by solution wetting of anodic aluminium oxide template. The solutions of AlPcCl in different concentrations were spun cast over the template at various speeds. Both capacitive and resistive responses were measured as a function of different relative humidity levels. The sensor showed wide operating relative humidity range and responded at quite low humidity levels. Morphological changes were investigated by field emission scanning electron microscopy. The sensor showed wide operating relative humidity range. The sensor demonstrated better performance with improved sensing parameters, highlighting unique advantages of the low-molecular nanostructured sensing layer for the humidity sensors.

  • 3D stretchable and transparent conductors with controllable strain-distribution based on template-assisted transfer printing

    摘要: Although stretchable transparent conductors, stemmed from the strategies of both conductive composite and structural design of non-stretchable conductors, have been extensively studied, these conductors either suffer from a low stretchability or require a complex fabrication process, which drastically limits their practical applications. Here, we propose a novel strategy combining the design of substrates and a simple template-assisted transfer printing process to fabricate 3D transparent conductors. The strategy not only eliminates the complex and costly fabrication processes, but it also endows conductors with high stretchability and long-term stability thanks to the controllable strain-distribution as well as the seamless connection between the conductor layer and the substrate. These newly-designed 3D conductors achieve a low sheet resistance of 1.0 Ω/sq with a high transmittance of above 85% and remain stable without obvious resistance change during 1000 stretching-relaxation cycles until 60% strain, which are superior to most reported conductors. A large-area stretchable heater based on the 3D conductor realizes the temperature fluctuation below 10% even under a large strain, thus showing huge application prospects in the field of wearable healthcare electronics. The simple solution-processed fabrication method and high performance such as stretchability and low resistance change over large strain range promote the practical applications of these newly-designed 3D conductors.
