摘要: generally, retinal picture valuation is commonly executed to appraise the diseases. In this paper, an image examination technique is implemented to extract the Retinal-Optic-Disc (ROD) to assess its condition. An approach based on the combination of Kapur’s entropy and K-means clustering is considered here to mine the optic disc region from the RGB retinal picture. During the experimental implementation, this approach is tested with the DRIVE and RIM-ONE databases. Initially, the DRIVE pictures are considered to appraise the proposed approach and is later, considered the ROD, comparative analyses with the expert’s Ground-Truths are carried out and the image similarity values are then recorded. This approach is then validated against the Otsu’s+levelset existing in the literature. All these experiments are implemented using Matlab2010. The outcome of this procedure confirms that, proposed work provides better picture similarity values compared to Otsu’s+levelset. Hence, in future, this procedure can be considered to evaluate the clinical retinal images.

摘要: Palette-based image recoloring is one of the popular color manipulation methods by transforming dominant scene colors into corresponding user-specific colors intuitively. Because conventional palette extraction methods are based only on global color distribution, they cannot deal with local distinctive colors, which can cause not only the degraded result of image recoloring, but also the limitation of user selection. In this paper, we propose a new palette extraction method by iterative palette partitioning based on cluster validation. To find candidate colors for palette partitioning, we compute patch uniformity for local patches. For image recoloring with extracted palette, we use a statistics-based color transfer method by considering the pixel-wise weight from palette colors. In the experiments, our automatic or user-specific palette extraction shows more plausible palette representation than previous methods. Furthermore, image recoloring results show the effectiveness of the proposed method in terms of quality of color transfer and user experience.

摘要: Available solar radiation is an important source of renewable energy that determines Tunisia’s productivity but has been poorly characterized. Measured solar radiation datasets are generally not available for long periods. This paper studied the method of estimates for solar radiation based on satellite imagery and on the measured data by the national institute of meteorology. Data collected from the year 2015 in three different locations in Tunisia. The objectives of this study are: a) Assess of monthly global solar radiation using data of meteorology for three stations. b) Compare measured data with two different geostationary satellites imagery in order to validate the good estimation of the satellite imagery. c) Reduce the uncertainly of the use of satellite imagery long-term solar resource by validate the estimated data with those measured by the pyranometer from the meteorological station.

摘要: Driving is a complex and cognitively demanding task. It is important to assess the cognitive state of the driver in order to develop cognitive technical systems that can adapt to different cognitive states of the driver. For this purpose, we have developed a mobile functional near-infrared spectroscopy (mofNIRS) prototype. This paper describes the improvements of this mobile prototype with freely placeable optodes on a subject’s head and the results of an evaluation study. We conducted a motor cortex experiment with four subjects, whereby the mobile prototype was mounted on the right hemisphere and a commercial, stationary fNIRS on the left hemisphere above the motor cortex area. One data set had to be discarded due to incorrect synchronization between both systems. The results of the remaining three subjects are presented and discussed in this paper. Here, we report the results from the time-series and Statistical Parametric Mapping (SPM) analyses, which shows t-values with high differentiability of the Results. Furthermore, both analysis methods show comparable results between the commercial system and the mobile prototype.

VALIDATION STUDY OF STEROIDAL DRUGS (DEXAMETHASONE AND BETAMETHASONE) BY U.V. SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC METHOD
摘要: Objective: The present investigation involves development and validation of ultraviolet (UV) spectroscopic method for estimation of dexamethasone and betamethasone in a pharmaceutical dosage as per International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH) guidelines. Method: Betamethasone and dexamethasone were dissolved in 50 mL Methanol: water (1:2) and 50 mL distilled water, respectively. The method was validated for accuracy, precision, linearity, ruggedness, and robustness to check its consistency. Result: The λmax or the absorption maxima of both the drugs was found to be 241 nm. A linear response was observed in the range of 10–20 μg/mL. Conclusion: The method could be applied for the analysis of marketed tablets and also can be used for the routine analysis of dexamethasone and betamethasone in bulk formulations using UV method. It is suitable for the intended purpose especially in forensic science laboratories and other laboratories involved in the pharmaceutical analysis.
