1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The HLPG was fabricated by helical index modulation with a CO2 laser. The fiber was rotated and moved simultaneously with a constant speed along the fiber axis.

The mode pattern of the HLPG was observed using a tunable laser and a CCD.
