研究目的
To analyze the long-term outcomes of laser treatment for congenital melanocytic nevi (CMN) and compare these outcomes with those of a combination treatment including partial excision and lasers.
研究成果
More than 4 years of follow-up is required to evaluate the efficacy of lasers in CMN, and partial excision and laser combination treatment might be an effective treatment option.
研究不足
This is a retrospective study, and various laser devices were used.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
Retrospective review of patients with CMN treated with lasers, grouping patients with ≥3 years of follow-up as the long-term follow-up group.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
67 patients with CMNs treated by laser in 2 different hospitals during 2000-2017 with ≥1 year of follow-up.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
1064-nm Q-switched neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Spectra VRM, Lutronic, Korea), fractional CO2 laser (eCO2, Lutronic, Korea), and erbium-doped YAG (Er:YAG) laser (SP Dynamics, Fotona, Slovenia).
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
Laser treatments were performed monthly, with an average interval of 3 months. Clinical photographs were taken before each treatment, and outcomes were measured using the Investigator’s Global Assessment (IGA) score.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Data were analyzed with GraphPad Prism version 7.00 for Windows and SPSS version 18.0 for Windows. Unpaired 2-sample t test with Welch correction was used to evaluate differences in outcomes.
