研究目的
To present a full life cycle of dissipative soliton (DS) as a self-organized object, from its appearance from random fluctuations to its disintegration, and to demonstrate a close analogy between the properties of DS and the general properties of turbulent and chaotic systems.
研究成果
The study outlines the problem of DS coherence, chaotic, and turbulent dynamics, highlighting the nontrivial internal structure of DS and its analogy with turbulent structures forming far from equilibrium. It also discusses the suppression of DS turbulence due to noninstantaneous nonlinearity, leading to the formation of new coherent structures like dissipative Raman solitons.
研究不足
The study focuses on one-dimensional systems, which is a quite precise approximation for solid-state and fiber laser dynamics but may not fully capture the complexity of higher-dimensional systems.
