研究目的
Investigating the dynamics of band and defect states in metal-halide perovskites CH3NH3PbX3 (X = Br,I) to understand their unexpected optoelectronic properties.
研究成果
The study reveals a broad tail of transient sub-bandgap states in CH3NH3PbI3 and CH3NH3PbBr3 perovskites, assigned to a continuum of dark defect states. The ability of nonlinear spectroscopies to detect these almost dark defect states is explained by the shared valence band between defect states and the bright bandgap transition. This contributes to the understanding of defect photo-physics in metal halide perovskites and guides their optimization for increasingly efficient optoelectronic devices.
研究不足
The study is limited to the spectral region below the optical bandgap and does not directly address the nature of the defects (whether they are many dark defect sites or few brighter sites).
