Investigating the synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles using the Laser Assisted Synthesis in Solution (LASiS) method in polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) solutions with different concentrations to understand their properties and structure.

ZnO nanoparticles were successfully synthesized using the LASiS method in PVA solutions, showing characteristic absorption at 344 nm and spherical morphology with sizes around 80 nm. The maximum absorbance was achieved at 3% PVA concentration. However, the colloidal system was unstable, and the nanoparticles were highly polydisperse with decreasing crystallinity at higher PVA concentrations.
