A widely tunable PT-symmetric OEO based on a silicon MDR was successfully implemented, achieving single-mode oscillation with a frequency tunable range from 2 to 12 GHz and a phase noise of -105 dBc/Hz at a 10 kHz frequency offset. The phase noise can be further reduced with an increased loop length.
